Thanks. I use 4k 60 fps hyperview autoboost, 10bit on bit rate high ev comp -0.5 white bal 5500, sharpness low colour vibrant wind off. Check out some of the loam rangers videos. He knows more than me although I have modified mine from his over time. To be honest the editing is more important than go pro settings for picture quality. I use Davinci resolve and use Codec H.265 and 80000 Kb/s. You end up with big files but RU-vid reduces the quality so starting high helps. I am no expert but hope that helps.
@@bestdayevermtb2 thanks very much Lance, much appreciated. My vid colors are nowhere near as natural or warm as yours, will continue to play in DaVinci Resolve!
Denniston near Westport has a heap of class rock-riding… plenty of 4 and 5 to keep you focusing. t map is not so easy to follow, but I’ve bin working on tidying t lines up there (a bit) to improve t riders ability to recognise what’s coming. couple of things need exclamation signs, to slow riders up for maybe a look first. we often link trails up to get a decent length ride in. going South soon/ Matangi hopefully will feature.
AC would have lead you out the back to some, ever so slightly easier trails aka Supercharger and the like... would have got your flow on a bit more. The Dunnerz Boyz can play guide in Alex after you sess some of what we have to offer 🤘
A lot of people say you should not ride on your own, but the reality is that most of us do it from time to time. I love exploring and am definitely more cautious on my own.
Awesome video Lance wow that was one scary looking track but probably was a buzz riding it tho . Hey I didn’t see you riding it bye your self which is the old saying mates looking after mates . So they don’t get into trouble. I’m sure you had your phone on you because you ain’t that stupid. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing you and Jacqueline on the next episode
Definitely a case of ridingonmyownitis, I've raced 2ws with you Lance on jankier stuff and you have great tech slash jank skills. It will come back once you stop the rail trails ha ha
Is Rob still away? I was down there last week after Easter, no coffee, no ride. But Phil @ altitude bikes he was there, should have been ya next call in! Epic place to ride one of my favs in NZ, please don't tell everyone, its thorny, its hot, no water, battery eater and tire chewer (that should keep the Jaffa's away, they don't like getting their tires worn out!) Defs helps if ya have a local with ya! But I been going there on and off for 30plus years, next time check out Thee thee hill! or the Poo track? If ya know ya know, many of those trails have been out there since the 70s and we rode dirtbikes there in the 80s, them were the days my friend, too many wanky houses in the way now, ruined the entry plus we used to race up and down the river to wash out bikes, I still did it in my truck! Hope ya got a coffee from Rob before ya left Alexandra , Be Rude Not too! 🤟
Looks Gnarly, good work getting out in one piece. Enjoy Nelson, interested to see what you think, definitely try and do the Gorge & Cable Bay. The trails behind Nelson are also amazing, Te Aro Koa & 629 notable mentions.
I really wanted to do that, but the next ride I rode with a local and he said that track had not been maintained and was not great to ride. Did some other cool stuff though.
Think I should remind now don't leave your backpack at the top of that hill. TRUST the rocks and GRAVITY is your friend it will always get you to the bottom (LOL) FLIP ME DODAHS like that expression
