It's interesting that Taylor was more engaged by the original, because most of us kitsune were blown away by Su's pure vocals on the First Take version. Maybe it's because we're used to seeing Su at her powerful best, but seeing her being subtle and technical is such a lovely surprise that allows us to appreciate a new facet of her incredible vocal talent.

Saw them live on Friday for the second time and they blew me away again. The Kami band sound is just as incredible live, the drummer is phenomenal. Soo glad they did this track live too, love it.

I can't wait to see her reaction when she WATCHES them do a song live. Hopefully you introduce her to a song like Catch Me IF You Can with Yui or something like that. In response to her comment about not liking to listen to songs that are in a different language. I can appreciate and totally understand that. BUT, with this band, the singer, Su, has even said (I'm going to paraphrase as I ALWAYS forget the exact quote), she'd rather you FEEL the music. The words aren't as important as how the song makes you feel. It is a very big deal to Su that she is able to relay the song as it's meant to be relayed. There's even a song that she didn't like performing for years because she felt she wasn't mature enough to give it the emotional depth it deserved. She finally hit that and it made her happy when, during her performance, she saw some people in the audience crying because of the emotions (Yea, she's probably almost as good as Morisette Amon at transferring the feelings like with Never Enough). Anyhow, great reaction, and hopefully we see more Babymetal with the missus soon!

can you believe su moa and former member yui gotup on a stage together sonisphere 2014 uk in front of a crowd of 50000 who mostly had no idea who they were at the young age of 16 for su and 14 for moa and yui not only did they give a great performance this is when they became world stars sad to say yui no longer a member due to health reasons but a lady who has a constant smile of joy on her face named momoko givin us fans all her heart every single performance have you seen their latest mv? metari it will make you smile and just wanna dance sing and celebrate

I may be showing my age, but the mellow parts in this song reminds me a lot of Sylvian and Sakamoto "Forbidden Colours". If you haven't heard it check it out.

You showed her a f1rst take monochrome piano version instead of like, Road of Resistance for her first song? the F1rst take stuff is mostly for fans who know the music back and forth who can appreciate the massive contrast. I recommend you drag her back in, RoR Live in Japan Edit: just realized you haven't reacted to RoR Live in Japan...you have seen that video, right? its like..literally the thing that turns casuals into fans. the concert showcases the peak BM on every level.

Just like most soft songs that get covered as metal songs, and vice versa, metal songs turned softer, it just hits different

I have fallen down the fox hole recently and my favourite at the moment is Metali. One thing I have found - I have a expensive hifi system - and the absolute clarity & intensity of Su's voice of the piano version is stunning when turned up. If you get the opportunity to play this on something really good, it will tear you apart.

The only way to properly experience Babymetal is live & in person!! That is pretty much a right of passive if your lucky enough to experience it. My first show was at Budokan in Japan. Rondo Of Nightmare Mischiefs Of Metal Gods is probably one of the greatest performances I've even seen during a live concert. _____________________________________________________________ It was bittersweet though as Mikio Fujioka who was part of the Kami Band. Died tragically in a balcony accident back in 2019. Su-Metal was brilliant in this particular performance and only 17 at the time. Su-Metal is 25 now Moa is 23 and MoMo-Metal is 20 I think. They are preparing for a big world tour dubbed the BabyKlok tour. Which has pretty much coast to coast tour dates over the summer & fall. Where they will be Co-headlining with Dethklok and special guest Jason Richardson. I also recommend Bring Me The Horizon with Kingslayer. In which they collaborated with a couple years ago & is pretty much metal gold. They have quite a few collaborations they have done over the years. _________________________________________________________ Road To Resistance was a collaboration with DragonForce. Along with Distortion a collaboration with Arch Enemy's Alissa White-Gluz Su-Metal also had a duet with Judas Priest once upon a time as well. 🙀💕 They have released 4 albums over the last 10 or so years. Nice reaction. Babymetal magic is the only way to understand how Babymetal has done any of the things they've done over the years. From starting their metal journey when they were so young. To becoming internationally known in just 4 to 5 years later. To top of the charts by the time Su was 20. Amazing. And add in they did with an experimental style is even more crazy. They really took a chance on this. Jpop style vocal with a Metal. Even their entertainment company did want to give them anything for it. Babymetal earned everything they have the hard way. Going out there and performing and getting fans. It took nearly 4 years for them to put out their first album. They released some singles before that. By 2016 they released their 2nd album and were touring the world. By the 3rd album sadly, Babymetal started share the same things that many legendary bands have. One of their members left in 2018 due to health issues and one of the guitarists tragically died in a falling accident. One of the drummer brothers died that same year. "That's tuff buddy". Felt like the Fire Nation attacked them or something. But the 3rd album becomes even more successful than the first two. And now like he said they added a new member Momoko now known as Momometal. she was promoted from the three backup dancers known as the avengers. They're now on tour and will come to the USA in late August. Tickets are on sale now. Some places have already sold out. New York, Georga and others. Their concerts have been called life altering events. Making folks happy and overjoyed. Live performance is what Babymetal have become known for. And if you're ever lucky enough to catch one of their shows in Japan. They are on an epic level. Even their small shows have become bucket list type stuff. They never tank a show or just go through the motions. They are known for giving Maximum effort all the time. Next up Moabanger. The fourth of July is her birthday. Babymetal did a special concert for her 20th birthday known as Legend M. Where they did a 20th birthday version of Headbanger. Headbangaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa time.

In fact that it's supposed to be an uplifting song, I can't watch the piano version without my eyes getting wet. Because Su sings it with so much emotion.

Now have her watch the live version they did at PIA arena in 2023. That live was a TRUE showcase of what BM is about.

I saw them last night at Wembley. They certainly held their own against Sabaton. Three young Japanese girls with cartoon voices doing highly choreographed dance moves to thrash metal shouldn't work but bloody hell it does!😅

There is a live version available on RU-vid channel babymetal reactor’s resource. It’s from the January shows before they announced momoko as MOMOMETAL and before Moa began singing live again.

I'd say I'm a big Babymetal fan. About 6k hours listening to the first 3 albums. That counts, right? But this is the _only_ song I've heard on the new album so far. Because .. I don't really know. But why would you want more? Some day I'll listen to the rest. For now, I'm fine. Nice reaction.

Well done Killer. Well done. I happen to think that the piano version is a masterpiece. They are currently on the European leg of their world tour and have had concerts in Leeds 5 days ago and at Wembley Arena two days ago. The reviews have been great. I have seen LIVE Pro Shot videos of the following performances from their concerts in Tokyo and Yokohama. Monochrome is gorgeous LIVE, Divine Attack, Metalizm, Maya, Light and Darkness are all fantastic and I am looking forward to the others. Good luck. Until next time.

Subtitles for this version defeats the purpose. Shouldve done that on the original song. This ones sole purpose is to drown in the sound. Reading along distracts you from really doing that. Bad idea.
