The entire video is based on a concept. The starting till the flying carpet is in the present time. Then when Dabzee comes in, that part is the flashback where the genie, Alladin and Zafar used to hang out together. Then Zafar gets hold on the lamp and enslaves the genie. That's the reason why the genie's hair is short in the flashback portion (the place where he is wearing Jacket and pant) and his hair is kinda long in the starting. So Aladdin was running in the beginning after snatching it from Zafar, hence he sent the goons to chase Aladdin down. Tats the reason why Zafar became agitated when they were not able to stop Aladdin from conjuring the genie. Brilliant concept, brilliant execution. This is what i could come up and this is the logic that makes sense with the music video.
