I love how even the kids are using “You got room?” As a fellow dealer, it’s definitely starting to get repetitive at more and more shows. I’ve seen a lot of shows recently though where dealers aren’t budging below 90%. Finding cards is getting tougher all around.
You’ve been seeing that recently because the national is very close and there’s no point in selling cheap when you’ve spent months preparing a good inventory for the national. Especially football cards. I vendor pokemon so I don’t go but I’ve talked to guys that go to the national and I’ve heard crazy numbers.
@@balance1619 Fair, but at this point, I hope the trend continues. There is no need to take a loss below 5-10% below comps. I’ve been selling at shows and telling buyers, and a lot of repackers, that I don’t do the percentage of comps thing, and I just knock a few bucks off on a card by card basis. Some tell me that won’t do them any good and walk away, and some buy. People still want the cards and the collectors want to be able to compete.
