Been using factor for several months now and I can agree. They are great! I even got a couple of my coworkers using them. My only complaint is a few times I forgot to select my meals and they sent me preselected meals. But they sent meals with shrimp and I'm allergic. And you can't list allergens on your account. But the meals are delicious and comparable to the price of a combo meal at most fast food places.

I guessed they were stamps based on the edge pieces, but thought no way they’d be true to size. When you brought out the actual stamps and showed them side by side, I was blown away. 🤯 These puzzles are incredible!

The 50 cent stamp with the schooner on it is the classic "Bluenose" stamp ("Bluenose" is the name of the schooner). Top-quality specimens can sell for over $1000. Fun fact: in 1982, Canada issued a 60 cent stamp-within-a-stamp commemorating the Bluenose.

I am a stamp collector (inherited from my Grandfather) and love the intersection of History and Art that stamps give us. I enjoy watching your videos and seeing you collect vintage puzzles because it gives us that same connection...a combination of art and history that I love!!! I'm also a stamp collecter, kinda inherited from my mum who worked in post sorting centre and brought cool stamps home wich she found from the floor etc.. I'm not an active collector but I have stamps from all over the world and from countrys that don't exist anymore (due to splitting up or changing name). I agree with you about stamps having a combination of art history. Greetings from Finland!

Today I went to school in a shirt and with a hat with glued puzzlepieces in the shape of a questionmark. It was a 'wear your sportshirt to school day'. I'm not a sporter, I make puzzles. I asked to the children at school: 'What do you think, is puzzling a sport?' The 4-7 year olds said: 'No!' The older ones said: 'Yes!' (I think they didn't want to disappoint their teacher...😉) (Sorry for the mistakes, I'm not a native Englishsspeaker!)

i don't know how to explain it but 'half a centimetre' instead of '5 milimetres' feels like metric spoken in an imperial accent
@sarh23
@sarh23 12 дней назад
Interesting, I use metric but I would say half a centimeter, what country are you from?
@aiocafea
@aiocafea 12 дней назад
@@sarh23 i'm from Romania, but i'm not sure if that's the biggest factor since i wasn't thinking in my native language i am also an engineering student and maybe i'm influenced from the use-case of reading aloud and writing down measurements, most often decimal fractions what may have also influenced me is the actual accent, i'm used with americans following simple harmonic fractions with the word 'inch' you know half-inch, quarter-inch, eighth-inch overall it's mostly a joke since i can also imagine myself saying half a centimetre i still think in this scenario '.5cm' or '5mm' would have come first but half a centimetre is completely acceptable
@sarh23
@sarh23 12 дней назад
@@aiocafea yeah I think that's interesting, could be that I'm more influenced to imperial as I'm a native English speaker. I do also use mm or meters when doing engineering type measurements, but for day to day life talking to people I use cm. I hadn't initially noticed the difference between "half a cm" and "half cm", I would say both, but I'd usually type 0.5cm. I'm Irish so maybe I have more imperial measurement influence than I realise, but we do measure speed limits, drinks, milk cartons, distances, etc all in metric, and I think it has been all my life, but they did used to use mph, etc. in the past.
@sarh23
@sarh23 12 дней назад
@@aiocafea also I did get it it was a joke and I thought it was funny, but I also just found it interesting as speaking I would go for "half centimeter" over "point 5 cm" or "5mm" 🙂

I bought the Two Ships and loved putting them together. I was totally disappointed when I was done because it was over. I was going to be one of those eBay sellers that sells it at a 50% mark up. So when I posted Lazels next puzzle Flare to eBay, no one was buying. Other sellers came on and priced it at the same price. Then Lazels came out with Helen. I bought extras of that too. But now I just want to recoop my initial investment, so I am selling my remaining Flare for cost + eBay fees. I will do that to my extra Helens. The interesting thing is that I am disrupting this Lazels eBay market, as my competitors have come down in price to $800-$900 from over $1,000.

i wonder how lazels makes their puzzles... it has to be some really high-end laser cutter CNC machine, with some very high quality titanium. at those scales, i think normal steel would just expand or fray occasionally in unpredictable angles and ruin the precision. they also probably need to do quite a lot of polish after cutting the pieces... the comparison with the amateur tiny puzzle shows the difference in quality. those lazels pieces look even smoother than normal puzzle pieces despite being zoomed like 10x closer.

1. Attach each piece to the end of a bamboo skewer, with some randomization of how they're oriented. 2. Use the skewers as handles to search for a pair that matches. 3. When you find a match, glue it together, break off one of the skewers (so the one skewer now holds two pieces). 4. Repeat until the puzzle is complete. I think this is an O(n!) process, but it's late.

The closeup video looks so cool! If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you’re a robot doing a very thick puzzle 🤖

The Guinness World Records company keeps some pretty unsavory company, so meh, I don't need them to be the arbiter of smallest puzzle.

I did drop one of them off camera 🤦🏻‍♀️ Luckily I found it pretty quickly, but otherwise I was thinking I'd use a flashlight at floor level and look for the shadow.

I was thinking it's hard enough to find regular dropped puzzle pieces and these would be almost impossible, particularly on carpet!

I was doing a puzzle with my mom last year, while we were snacking on some chips. Somehow things got mixed up and she ended up almost eating a puzzle piece. 😂

I will never own a Lazel's (way too much money & pressure!) but I do appreciate beautiful art. They nailed it with these stamps. Doing a full-sized one of a stamp would, I think, be quite dull, but oh, these small ones, just gorgeous! John is a master nano puzzle maker, cudos to him for making these ultra tiny puzzles, I think he has mastered the laser cutter :)

Maybe some other people have mentioned this, but I know a lot of electronic repair youtube channels use some sort of microscope, but I'm not sure if it's something that you would use often enough to be worth it. They'd come with your typical camera features too (SD-Card recording, display, HDMI out.)

The Helen 382 dropped 2 months ago. Can't wait for it to arrive. If anyone wants to get rid of their Azure 473 from a couple of years ago, do let me know.

A soon as I could make out the "CANADA" at the top I knew it was going to include the Blue Nose stamp.
