43:31 xy wing b4(4,6),c6(4,8),i4(6,8) eliminates 8 in g6, then we get g5(2,4),g6(2,4) then h5 is 6, eventually everything gets solved PS : rows are alphabets(top to bottom) , numbers are columns(left to right) Eg: b4, 2nd row& 4th column

I tried the puzzle and was able to solve it using a few guesses and backtracking. My feeling is that this is not a very interesting puzzle due to the need for guessing. I prefer being able to find a logical solution.

On November 27, 2018, Cracking The Cryptic presented a video on what really is the world's hardest sudoku. I suggest you check it out because the sudoku solver you use in the beginning of this video can't get any digits at all and just gives up immediately with that puzzle.

I use bifurcation as an elimination technique. I find a guess that leads to a contradiction, then I can eliminate that guess.

Hi Daniel ! Not all bifurcations lead to immediate eliminations.So the same may not always be helpful

@@unshacklingsudokuspuzzles The trick is to find a branch of a bifurcation that does lead to a contradiction then you know you must take the other branch.

You might not find a contradiction depending on difficulty. However if there is a candidate in any cell that becomes impossible in both cases then you can eliminate that candidate. Likewise if there’s a candidate that must be the case in both cases then you can solve that cell

Bro please sove the name of the sudoku is everest by arto inkala. You have not solved yet This is extreme sudoku. Please solve it by logic.

I hv a query. Ur first guess was 5's in col 9 of block9. Second guess was 3 in block1 at R2C2. Third guess was 9 in col2 at R4C2 which suddenly gave u so many other digits in the grid, with no contradictions upto this stage That's fine. At 34:07 , u say " In case we break, we need to retrace back all the way to the place where we guessed 9 ( the third guess was a 9 in col 2 at R4C2) because that gave us a lot of digits." Now this statement of yours is again a guess/ prev. experience or some logic, the doubt I hv here is , how are we so sure that the snag / glitch developed only after the third guess and not the first guess. I just don't prefer bifurcation but u said this can't be done otherwise.

After bifurcating you need to eliminate all possibilities along the bifurcation before going back to the original one .Otherwise there is no way of knowing if the original one was correct or wrong
