Double shield + bastion happens more than you think. As soon as they realise they can't win, they switch to that team comp. I once had a match on Blizzardworld where they couldn't even cap point, so in defense they picked Rein, Orisa, Bastion, tracer, mercy and lucio, and set up camp on the high ground right. Needless to say we couldnt even reach point as they spammed every entry way. And since there were barely any comms or strategies in bronze-silver we lost...

at 5:10, you see the rein blocking the full view of where the shield will end up, but it's not there yet, rein moves, shield goes down a split second before they go for the sleep I don't think that one deserves pausing and being dramatic lol

I got one easy tip for low level bap players who are worried about the "heal shoot shoot" stuff. Hold down both mouse buttons, the game will do it automatically for you. Now on higher levels you don't wanna do this because when you fire deliberately you shoot more accurately, so it's worth getting that down into muscle memory. But for starters, just hold both mouse buttons down and look at the tanks, you're probably gonna land both things most of the time when you do that.

First off, Sleepy if you read this, it's great to see you play all the roles. Am I correct in saying that you have not played support for a while? (seeing as you said you have been going back to support again for the final season) Below is some feedback/helpfull tips (if you would like it) from my own experience in getting back into playing support. (It's kinda long but yeah:p) So from what I saw in this gameplay you look very rushed, I had the same experience when I got back into playing support. Everything seems to go way faster and you gotta do so many things at once when you play support. What really helped me is literally slowing down, don't feel rushed, start slow, aim to hit the shot then click, don't flick and click and then miss. Just slow down and take your time. The reason for it is that your quite literally seeing everything that's going on during the game because everyone and everything is infront of you. It can be quite overwhelming. Just start slow, then speed up. If you start slow you know your going to hit most of your shots, meaning that eventually your getting the same thing done only with more bullets left. What did it cost you? It cost you time, maybe that's the same amount of time it took you to reload because you missed 4/12 shots because you went to faster. People in lower ranks take allot of damage really quickly, you can't always outheal that. To mitigate that if you now have 4 bullets left but your Cassidy died, throw a anti nade at the enemy, hit 2-3 bullets on someone and they die. Now your even. Next time you do everything faster with more confidence and with more impact. Because now you can hit 12/12 shots because you slowed down, you see that your rein has 40% hp and a full shield, your Cassidy is standing in the middle of the road with half hp. This time you don't heal your rein, you start by healing your Cassidy, then you heal your rein. (I see you trying to make plays, here is how i would proceed from the example above) Later in the fight you see the enemy rein on full hp but a cracked shield. What do you do? You heal your own rein so he doesn't have to shield, then when the reins shield breaks you sleep him. Your own rein will now either shatter or kill their rein. If he shatters, you throw the nade on the supports. If he swings on the rein you nade him instead. From your gameplay it seems you have the understanding that supports are not healbots, they support. You try to make plays with sleepdarts and nades, that's a good thing because it's you trying to win the game. What I would recommend doing however is before you do that, is think on how your team will follow up on that. For example your flank when you hit the orisa instead of the rein with the sleepdart. Personality I would think like this: 'Can my team follow up on the sleeping rein with a full hp shield? Me pressing tab says yes, if I wait 1 second and communicate with my teamates. 'im going to sleep the rein, can you use your ultimate DVA and guys pls don't wake him up. In short I would give the advice of slow down first, take everything in, start with health, then your tanks resources like cracked shields, position of your teammates Vs said tank shield and hp pool. Sometimes you don't need to heal 3 people all at once. You just need to heal the right one first, then the second and then the 3rd. You also don't need to heal all of then to full either. Just so that they are not in danger. Your Cassidy with 150 hp and standing in the open Vs your rein with a full shield and 20% hp. You alternate by shooting your Cass and your rein until both are safe, you then prioritize your rein because he now has half shield.

The ironic part about this, is that is Flats is right. My gf and I climbed out of bronze through her playing D.VA and me being her pocket Ana. I'd Nano her, she'd dive in, get one or two kills, and then throw the bomb (getting at least 2-3). Rinse and repeat all the way to Plat lol.

Yeah, I think that part of why this player is so low is the "passive value" trap. I am someone who plays different roles at vastly different SRs. And in lower ELOs like this, there are heroes that just have way more passive value. Heroes that have passive damage, high sustained damage (not burst, other than maybe Doomfist), self-healing, low reset cooldowns, and easy escapes tools are king. Strong heroes that require coordination, peel, etc, are weak at low ELO. That's why Mercy and Moira dominate in bronze. People playing mechanical skill heroes like Ana have to be significantly better than others at their SR, because they have to overcome the free value that comes from these heroes. In bronze the moth meta never died, because she gets at least one free rez basically every fight, and Moira can 1v1 basically every dps and support in the cast. Plus tanks at this ELO don't know how to play around support and overextend badly and frequently. Mercy and Moira can use their mobility to save them, Ana usually loses LOS and can't. For example, I play Ana/Zen/Bap/Lucio at high gold. My Ana play isn’t crazy aggressive. I don’t take duels or frag often. I mostly focus healing and anti-nading/sleeping the enemy tank line. But I probably do better on Ana at this rank than I would at bronze/silver because fights are so disorganized that I would need to consistently out-frag Moira and/or out-value Mercy’s support and free rez, while getting basically no peel. Not saying this player deserves to be way higher, but their game sense could carry them into the middle ranks, its just their mechanics and low-ELO hero balance are holding them back.

My aim has gotten pretty solid since moving from PS4 to PC, I've climed to diamond. I highly suggest playing "boomer" shooters. Doom eternal and Ultrakill are incredibly fast paced games that require good aim and reaction time. and excels in developing said aim and responsiveness. Play through either one on at least medium difficulty and you will feel the improvement. Especially Ultrakill, it has an endless arena mode that is really fun and satisfying.

Honestly this Ana player was judged to harshly over their sleep cool down usage. Most Anas in bronze hold their sleep for self defense and miss it when finally using it. This Ana player also misses sleeps but is attempting to raise their APM. Higher APM is crucial for higher levels so getting used to that principle can be helpful.

That's my issue when i play as support. I used to be a Zen player because is a very offensive character. I'm trying other supports and want to be some offensive to help my team, but then they star to receive lots of damage and i have no choice to pick Lucio or Moira to save them. Recently i reached gold as a support, but i returned to silver. u_u

6:04 is not Ana's fault here. her team did nothing to move in on that Rian Sleep and deal with the turret so she can nade the group below. the Rian gets put to sleep and her whole team runs away. 7:21 the real question is WHY is her D.va shooting at her own Ana. 11:25 it worked out cuz the enemy team got distracted that Ana was there so yes they fucked up so in a way it helped her team. more of a DPS and Dive tanks job but if it works it works.

So I'm a mid gold in all 3 roles. I mostly play Reinhardt or Zarya. I know of the proper defence setups like the gas station on 66, high ground on left side Dorado, various high ground positions on numbani etc.. Yet when I try to set up there and try to convince my team to join me in these positions, they refuse, just want to setup in point or at the enemies spawn..they just tell me to "stfu and play the game". What rank do people actually hold these positions with you instead of being dumb and defending at the enemy spawn? :(

used to play high gold and low plat , never took game serious and played quickplay mostly. dozens of seasons later and i can't climb out of high bronze / low silver because reins like that guy Wicky. Who die as soon as match starts. The next worse problem is healers with no spatial awareness and third of course is how every dps thinks they are THAT GUY but they've never even put up a 50 piece or done 20k dmg before. A lot of games are fun even in losses but it's pretty demoralizing to see your tank dead less than 10 seconds in. I also end up with 12 year olds in voice chat going "ima, ima, take this widow out heal me guys" while they are playing Zarya or Orisa. For some reason kids seem to love Orisa.

As someone who swapped to PC earlier this year, you have to do something crazy to get below silver. Just being bad at aiming will get you to low gold.

I've been in bronze for 2 seasons like 4 years ago and i can count on 1 hand the amount of times when a Dva bomb didnt get at least 2 kills. Honestly it's insane.

Bronze is an amazing place. His team saw the Pharah pretty much do what it wanted and no one decided to go hitscan DPS. Absolute dogsh*t

I agree with him on panicking. If you stand your ground and take the fight, you might lose, but A. at least you (in theory) learned what you did wrong, B. improved your aim a little C. often times if you're going to die anyways it's better to die quicker so you can respawn and group up quicker as opposed to drawing your you death and now your team has to wait a whole extra 10 seconds to spawn adn another 10 for you to come back ontop of the already 7 seconds you spent running around delaying the inevitable.
