I was the soldier on the red team and we all reported him after we played this match. A few days later I received an email from blizzard saying action had been taken on his account. f2p game so it is what it is but still nice to see :)

They really left the game to update the cheats I'm crying

yesterday i caught a cheater in GM1 and everyone in the lobby was like lol get gud bro. it was a holywood game and i just forgot to skip the killcam on enemy widow and then saw she did two 180 snap from our healer on right to our ball to the left back to back and i immediately called it out . Game ended and i was in the menu and after 2 min the message pops up that your previous game is canceled. Felt glorious and also sad, since this is GM1 and you'd expect to not see many hackers at this rank.

the fact that they barely won with a hacker speaks volumes of the skill ocean between the teams.

What annoys me even more than the cheating is the fact this person has likely been cheating for a while, just based on the old 2019 Winter Wonderland skin for Soldier. Or they bought the account, but even so.

My theory is that cheaters like to use Visor so the play of the game ends up looking less suspicious to their team once the match ends

I expected it to be a brand new account considering the audacity so seeing golden weapons for Reaper kinda surprised me.

In some ways, i feel like the red team supports kinda dropped the ball here. They stepped out in the open and ulted in front of a guy they knew was cheating. Ball did his best.

It makes sense that the enemy team just responded with “lol” seeing how it’s Silver 2. It’s just sad how teams aren’t even willing to try & make it a Draw. People are so desperate for that win grab. If you get carried by cheaters (which we all know aren’t good players) then you, yourself aren’t a good player & will be trashed on if you manage to climb.

If I remember correctly, visor actually removes damage drop off, which they wouldn't know but it will be powerful on first point Junker Town and other longer range maps

There have been an ungodly amount of cheaters this season. Very obvious rage hacking on the kill cams. They always play soldier and when you call them out they say something like they’re GM on another account.

Crazy how many eliminations get away even with cheats because they just hold down the left click into a crowd and have to reload right before cleaning up

I had a game on QP last night with a doomfist who kept saying that if you played Ana, he would target you, because he wants the character deleted. My team, 5 people who don't know each other, all gained up and just shit on him the entire match, it was glorious, just like that team shitting on the soldier

The funny thing is although his team got a win, the cheater themselves lost SR/had the match counted as a loss because they disconnected near the start 😁 Sucks ass when that happens to you due to disconnect and even if you come back the game has already punished you, but in this case it's just sweet sweet justice.

During one of our games on Shambali I discovered a Soldier that was using wall hacks. I saw it as I was trolling their backline as Wrecking Ball. He was aiming at my team through a wall and unloaded a whole clip lol didn't even try to shoot me even though I was destroying his widow right next to him.

What confuses me is how apart from a few moments where it’s completely locked on, the cheats tracking is actually WORSE than real tracking, like it’s consistently behind

I’m a new player, ish. I’ve known OW since 2016, and I wanted to play it, but only did at the launch of OW2. I’m currently at silver 5, which isn’t very high, but I’m climbing pretty steadily now, usually with a win ratio of 5-1 or 5-2, as a Mercy/DVA/Torb (I wanna be a Jack of all trades instead of a one trick pony). That’s probably one reason my climb has been slower, because I’ve been learning several characters based on what the team needs in Open Queue, though I’m best at Mercy rn. I have better game sense than this guy does. I know that as a mercy I need to stay moving constantly and my main goal is monitoring vitals and sticking to the group. Battle Mercy only comes out during Valkyrie while the team is good without me. Also when you’re supporting a 1V1, constheal isn’t the worst thing you can do. Stay out of the line of fire as much as possible, and focus on keeping their health up, they’ll do more damage alive. As a Torb, turret needs to be in an inconspicuous or unusual place, and you need to keep remembering to constantly overclock. Also headshots using his gun is extremely easy when on high ground, and 1V1s against any hero are possible as a Torb. Also, your ult doesn’t have to kill, it can be used as a barrier to keep people back, and creating an overtime buffer or a time buffer. As a DVA, rely on supports. Take all damage you can and when you become out of mech, that’s when you fall back and just keep shooting. Your bullets have a delay and short reload therefore you have the ability to just keep shooting next to supports. An out of Mech DVA is more valuable than a dead one. Also when ulting, save and launch. Find a spot where they won’t be able to spot mech until it’s too late or a place they can’t run. Don’t pop immediately, just wait for “the moment”. The biggest thing, an alive player is worth more than a dead one. If you need to disengage, do it. If you don’t think you can take on what you need to, wait and group up. Don’t ever stay in the same place. Don’t expect people to save you, but expect your supports to be competent. Expect to be the worst player on the team, and hone the skills of what you want them to be. Wanna be a good defender, work on using shield or knock back. Wanna be a good damage dealer, work on aim and quick movement. Wanna be a good healer, focus on not being the hero (I know, we all wanna be), and be the guy in the chair. Be the person who gets all the assists in the POTG. That’s the sacrifice of being a healer. You wanna be a damage support, go Moira and be a nuisance. Tbh if you just wanna fuck with the other team, go Moira or Sombra or Tracer, go behind them, do some damage and wisp/tp out of there. Sometimes that’s one of the most fun things you can do. On quick play, there’s no judgement. Try new shit, if you lose you still gain experience…I was shit at illari, still got POTG on my first play due to dumb luck, which made me look like I did something. Just have fun. That’s the whole point of games.

We have seen some dumb players before but this guy is the smartest cheater to exist. Cant even handle the recoil let alone track a target moving slightly to the left. Not once has he ever thought "i cant hit these crabs, maybe i should copy their movement". Like the guy didnt even try to avoid getting shot, hes just moving back and forth and in the end im just surprised he managed to get cheats without bricking his setup or getting instantly banned. I also get the feeling before he cheated he was going 0 and 90 with 100 dmg every game.

i made the switch from console to pc at the beginning of ow2. I was bronze 5 for a while due to my pc mechanical skill being non existent. There wouldve been some great roasts in those games. managed to climb tank and support to plat2 and dps to gold5. Took a break during season3 and just placed supp into D3 kiriko/brig/lucio. it really makes me wonder how people are still bronze when hacks are covering the mechanical side for them

Haven't played OW in a couple years but played fps my entire life. i started watching Jay's series on cheaters but literally none of them have topped this. Guy is fully tapped into the matrix

'how many deaths does this guy have?' well, i didn't see anyone else say and i like noting things down so... in the first defence round, there are 3 deaths before they leave and 8 after (11). in first attack round, there are 0 deaths before the first checkpoint, 6 after, 1 before the question of how many deaths they've got, and 2 after that (9). in the second defence round, there's 1 death and in the second attack round, there's 1 death. if my maths is correct, there were 22 deaths for this soldier in this game.

I am a low tier player (I recently started playing overwatch 2 and I got my tank rank as S2 this season). I have played fps games before and there is big difference in overwatch and other fps games. The team composition matters a lot in Overwatch 2. For example in Valorant if there is a cheater with hacks, that person is going to be dominating the entire lobby. we are talking about 60+ kills or something. Valorant does need gamesense but if your aim is cracked then... you probably don't need gamesense. Which is why Valorant is so rewarding for hackers. In case of games like Overwatch 2, the team composition and gamesense matters a lot. That's the reason why if the hacker has got shit gamesense and just has cheats, they won't survive in overwatch 2. This is what I think
