Hey guys so just so everyone knows, I did actually try to shut it down with the task manager. For some reason it still wouldn’t open though. I guess Garfield cursed it haha. Thank you all though!
It's not always the game itself you have to shutdown, but the "steam webclient helper" or something along those lines. Basicly, the Shift+tab menu is still running, and you need to force shutfown it with task manager for steam to register it.
honestly i think if matpat covered it, he could probably make a point about how those two points factor into the lore, of which there is already far, far, far too much
@@aaaaa-n8l garfield is an great eldritch abomination sealed under the desert sand and they are racing to get the lasagna to please him to save the world.
I’m a garfield kart connosseur, so you can trust me. The track at 2:57 you can lasanga boost over a grass patch into the lake and respawn at the bridge On the course at 3:19 you can boost of the little bump and land in the barrier, respawning you below and with an additional lap (my pb is 42 seconds) There’s a hypothetical shortcut on the map at 5:50 in which you drive around the parking lot in the same way that the track moves and you can drive back to the finish line to get a lap (did it once, but it subtracted the lap right after) The track at 8:50 if you have a spring and you’re near the end of the mountain you can completely skip all of the turns I tried to find something on the track at 12:17 by expirimenting lasagna boosts over the lake at the end but to no avail This isn’t useful but if you fall off at certain spots on the map at 13:57 your lap count subtracts regardless of it’s number There’s my information and I used to play on the 3ds 3 years ago
I have been speed running Kart for 3 years now and I can’t believe how much this has done for the community. Thank you so much for bringing this game to the attention of the speed running community, good luck trying to beat my records I can’t wait for some competition.
CC stands for cubic centimeters. It refers to the volume of the fuel and air mixture displaced into the cylinder of your engine, more or less more CCs equal more fuel displaced, equals more go faster to oversimplify it (It's also one of the reasons faster cars tend to be gas guzzlers). The higher CCs, the faster your kart goes, but it's also a difficulty slider to determine how hard the AI of your opponents are, I guess in-universe it'd just mean that people at higher CCs tend to be more competitive and trained.
Jon trying the legendary garfield kart shortcut edge map clip that actually allows him to "insta-finish" every map but the final map but Eazy just wanted to get back on the road with his wife and animals
I'm trying to find Andrew's times online but I don't think he submits them to the speedrun website. If he does then I just don't know what is account name is unless its something like BlackRanger or white_sedan or one of the other leaderboard names, but no one person holds all of the race times

Its expected that garfield kart has lame boring recycled concepts for levels, what's Team sonic racing excuse? Blows my mind how disappointing that game was
That wouldn't surprise me, because the TV show that Garfield Kart uses as its source material also recycled a lot of its assets. From what I can tell the music, sound effects and voice lines in Garfield Kart are ripped from the show, and watching through there were a lot of moments where you would hear the exact same voice clips re-used between episodes.
A year ago today, I watched this speedrun when it showed up in my recommendations after watching a few YanSim speedruns. And subscribed entirely because I saw how much Speezy suffers with each speedrun.
This was amazing!! Something about the fact that it’s a cursed Garfield game combined with the fact that you did this purely out of spite just makes it so entertaining. My almost asleep brain appreciates this existing. ^.^
50 cc, 100 cc, 150 cc refer to the engine size and the speed of the vehicles. cc = cubic centimeters = milliliters. Also obviously the difficulty, same as Mario kart.
I'd only ever heard of this game from the F**k Face podcast and now you have allowed me to see it in all of its (cursed) glory. The world is good again.
Garfield Kart is a game of intricate lore and master-level coding of which I've acrewed 1.3k hours, and that number is always increasing. I've turned my computer into a literal Garfield kart machine, as I've put a shortcut for it in my computer's startup folder.
Not meow, stop milking purr-ns out of the cats, their paw-r souls don't deserve it. Hehehehrhehehr Translation: not now, stop milking (cats like milk) puns out of the cats, their poor souls don't deserve it heheheheehehehe
Don't know if you're aware of this, but when games don't start anymore and steam is doing the funky, you can end the "rest" of the game that is still running in the background (miraculously) over the task manager. for example of you have prey running, then close it and steam doesn't wanna restart it, you can find a "hidden" prey executable that you can end. then you don't have to restart the pc as a whole
Original Garfield: about a man who's struggling with his love life, his cat and dog being his only comfort. Garfield now: Kooky crazy cat doin' some kooky crazy shit with some kooky crazy aliens and his kooky crazy talking animal friends in their kooky crazy world. Wtf? I started with new garfield, and even I'm confused.
Not gonna lie, I didn’t know this existed, but I’d probably play it. Edit: Still prefer Mario Kart, but I am a fan of Garfield, so I’d probably enjoy it.
