The catch is that you cannot, at any point, have a player that has received any of the following end of the season awards. That means no all-NBA 1st teams , no all-defensive 1st teams, all rookie 1st teams, DPOY, Most improved, 6MOY, MVP. If they win one while on your team, you must trade them in the off season or let them walk. Also it is multi year untill you win a title.
