I literally came to the comments regarding this. Fortunately, I personally made literal millions playing poker and was able to fill my safe with chips from poker alone. Although, GTA style of poker is much less skill based in my opinion, and it's much more dependent on chance, as opposed to say actual Texas Hold'em.
@@jassyjitsuu Well unfortunately you have limited options when playing GTA poker: either play the hand you're dealt, thus doubling your initial bet; or fold your hand, thus forfeiting your initial bet. That's why with GTA it is much more luck based. I honestly would suggest to just bet max on both the buy-in and the ante, and play every hand. You basically just have to be lucky.
@@jassyjitsuu I will add that it is also possible to cheat 😏 if you're not opposed to that. Not sure that I should go into detail here but you could always search RU-vid if you're interested in that.
Can we get a video explaining the mechanics of taking out more chips. Online says it’s one gta day but I ran a lot of tests and it’s seemingly random. I tried an hour of gameplay. An hour offline. Sometimes it’s the 48 mins. Sometimes it’s an hour plus. And no one seems to care! I’m like the only person who is researching this and I’m not coming up with much. Plz send help TGG
I won €1750 on roulette on 11/11/8 run, big bets spread across 3-12 numbers mainly 11/8, then a couple months of loosing €20-40 a week, before I won €700 again, then same thing again couple months of loosing... Then won €1250. Overall it's like you just break even but only if you play a lot
dude i sneeze that money every 5 minutes@@Mikdefish You got to go max bet every time. Bet a few high on low profit odds to cover your total (color, pair, column, 12 set), then to get smaller bets on the single (or double/quad combo) numbers. By having most sections covered by big bets, you will mostly win something, often making small loss, but when you get the win you win big. Sometimes the small odd bets will make a profit too. But even on this, i discovered a non realistic algorithm that punished me because i was using that system, it rolled 0 and 00 3 times in 4 turns...
Horse racing is actually super profitable. There are people that have spent dozens of hours making flow charts on the odds. Names and numbers mean almost as much as the odds. Certian horses in specific spots with a specific odds accross the whole field have a garunteed win.
@@Bananapeeler164 You lose in 90%s in the casino, so no big deal and the Wheel gives you mostly just a little XP, little money or some stupid clothing.
Over the years I've experimented with horse racing quite a bit. These results are pretty much bang on. However there's two horse's to watch out for. Hannigans Steed and Los Santos Saviour. They appear once every 10 races or so. Both will win their individual race 9 out of 10 times. Oh and this is a great way to kill time while waiting for stock to build up or killing a cool down.
Well that's your fault for having a very small amount of money and gambling on a horse. HS does not win every time, but then neither do the very low odds horses. Simple, not a lot of money don't gamble!
As someone who used to work in a bookies. Slot machines are rigged massively and they are setup so they have to take so much money before they pay out. You win alot on the demo games when we tested the game to do a report on it but with actual money you will lose it all very quickly
@@DoPrice it varies by bookies but in mine we had a tablet linked to the slots so we would use that to put the machine in demo. Obviously you dont win real money or anything but it is fun to do. Im in the UK and afew years ago they changed the max bet to £2 per bet so obviously we got less customers but yeah. If youre in the UK and in a Betfred then ask them to put it in demo if its quiet so you can have some fun with it. Obviously aslong as you are over 18
Hi from Thailand! Love your video ♥, I just wanted to see what gambling in GTA5 online is like as it's banned where I live - we can enter the casino and walk around but can't play the game. Appreciate you taking the time to make this video ❤
I love black jack, cause it's fun. The money is a willing sacrifice, but I love shouting out at the top of my lungs when I lose then proceeding to immediately return to normal.
@@simppolice944 he cant. New content and ideas are important. And things like this that take a lot of effort can get a lot of views because nobody else does it
Since they seemed to very closely match the real life probabilities for Black Jack, i have to assume they have done the same for horse racing. So if i start betting , say €1,000 a race of my savings on the favorite horse, i have to win more. This was just the break i needed ty
Hey TGG, this was an amazing video. Very interesting results as well. But I'm also wondering about 3 Card Poker. I've always had the feeling like you'd have a better chance to win with that rather than with Blackjack. Maybe it's just me but I'd really enjoy seeing that one as well.
I used to play a lot of Black Jack in GTA 2 years ago and I had the feeling that some dealers won more than others. I would actually not play if the dealer wasn't the one I felt lost the more. I don't remember which one it was, unfortunately.
You are nothing short of dedicated TGG. Your appetite for analysis and accurate depiction of, what is, to all intensive purposes fictional endeavours, has to be applauded. I the early days of the casino, it was not uncommon for me to make a million dollars on just the Horses. The powers that be eventually nerfed the horse racing, so I stopped. 😂
I’ll never forget when there was a bug that allowed you to bet the minimum amount of chips on horse racing but could win the max payout, me and my friend grinded it non stop for days
2 things: I was bored and messin around on the Diamond Miner and won big, bought the kosatka with that money. Haven't played it much since cause I know my win was a fluke. 2nd, with your numbers for BlackJack, that suggests that it opperates on a standard deck size which means if you can count cards on top of perfect BlackJack Basic Strategy, you're significantly more likely to win than normal. I can't count cards well, but my Blackjack Basic Strategy knowledge is pretty damn good, I enjoy Blackjack a helluva lot and have made good money on it
Hey man been watching your videos there great for what I'm looking for in gta, I have one suggestion you didn't think about the privet blackjack table in penthouse let's you do 50k games
Thanks for testing this, must have been tedious as hell. Did you forget testing the poker game though? It would be interesting to compare blackjack and poker odds I think.
Interesting video. I’ve done quite a few horse races and never won one. The one I do the best on is the Deity of the Sun slot machine and roulette. Though I haven’t won off either in a while.
One thing I'll do on roulette is 1000 on 2nd 12 and 1000 on 3rd 12. These are 2/1 odds and by placing on both, you have a very good chance of hitting. 24 out of 36 numbers covered. Accounting for the greens it's not too bad. 2k down, 3k win, 1k profit. It's slow as hell but I think it has a slight edge on red or black.
In the long term you still lose this way. Since you have a 1/3 chance of losing everything you bet. And you have the zero. So in the long run you'll lose.
@@Niemand80 I never said you were guaranteed to win. You have 24 out of 38 possible numbers to hit covered. It's slightly better odds than 50/50. Given it's a game of chance, I can't say you'll win for sure, you can't say you'll lose for sure, but with this method you have a better chance than red or black.
@beppson9201 It's a game of chance. You can't definitively claim whether you will win or lose more. You can't say for certain that you are guaranteed to lose. With the method I mentioned, you should have slightly better odds because your bet covers almost two thirds of the available numbers. You could bet a thousand times and lose every time, but you can't claim to know for sure that you are going to lose every time. I have done this several times and always walk away with more money.
Can you make a video about all the first time bonus missions and collectibles and events etc available to new players or people who haven't played in a while. So like treasure chests, LD organics pouches, playing cards, navy revolver and challenge, stone hatchet etc. And then also for missions that give you a first time completion bonus such as ULP, shirt trip missions, Dax missions etc.
Thanks for doing this research TGG! I'm missing one important fact: if horse racing will make money, how does that compare to businesses / heists? Where does it rank (in terms of time spent to money gained)?
@@markrobinsontraininga race takes about a minute so 100 minutes for a 600k profit. that's almost 1.5 hours for ~700k. 1.4 mil for 3 hours whoch is howlong solo cayo takes so, take from that what you will
@@pza6955 isn't the cooldown for a solo cayo 3 hours? correct me if they changed it, I haven't played GTAO since the cayo nerfs, it was the only thing that made this game playable and enjoyable
The casino's underrated for making money you can actually make a lot of money if you know what you're doing plus it's stress free and pretty much takes no effort.
I’ve Played Slots Far More Than Horses. I Found By Going In & Losing A Few Thousand Dollars Every Day & Then Played Them After A Few Weeks, I’ve Hit 3 7’s 8 Times, 3 Stick Men 4 Times & Jackpot 3 Times. The Best Is 3 Card Poker. I Don’t Close My Game If I Lose But Always Walk Away With More Than I Started With. Great Video Again My Friend !!!
I only play Diamond Miner and place the standard bet. The machine has a 97% payout, so ya luck must be with you to win big, but you should be able to stay fairly even. I have won big. I’ve won 500,000, 250,000, 125,000 a couple of time and many other smaller wins. I’m up over 1 million chips. I usually quit as soon as I get 3 of a kind. I still haven’t gotten 3 bells.
I never tried anything but horse racing and the lucky wheel (no brainer though) in the casino but its good to have it. F for countrys with strict gambling laws
I won the 3mil from the slots once then the 1.5 mil then I haven't hit it since and I know I've given at least a mil back. The 98% number they give you is probably accurate which is rigged in the long run but still better than most real life casinos who have like a 93% rate.
Awesome patience with you. Interesting stuff. Do you think the roulette table is linked to real tables spin history that R* bought for some cheap money. I wonder how many turns it takes for some restart of that history loop. They could even shift some positions for it the look even more realistic
No. Definitely not. Not in a million years would this ever be remotely plausible. Any employee goofy enough to have suggested an implementation like this would have been fired and their supervisor too. What is easier, Buying some spin history, parsing the data, encoding the outcomes, Or Writing a line of code to generate a random number on the roulette wheel?
NO horse racing is not rigged. One 200-round session is a unique flower, due to how the randomizer works. I promise you this: Tomorrow you will have different results. Always betting on the worst-odds horse will definitely lose you TONS of money, over time.
I guess I've been doing horse racing wrong for a while now, since I would always bet on the horse that was most likely to win, but at least I know now!
I started with about 10K and gambled on the best odds horses until I reached about 300k. Then I switched to the lowest odds horses and went up to over 1M. Since then, I've won only once for about 250k, and now I'm almost out of money again. This goes to show that you can run 125 runs (125X$10,000=$1,250,000) on the least likely horses and only win once, which indicates that things may not be rigged in our favor after all.
No, they are. It's just for the long odds horses it's more swingy and takes longer to pay off. The reason for this is the odds given are the actual odds used by the game. 80%+ of the races when you add up all the odds of the horses it's less than 100%. So what the game does is make up the difference. For example, if all the odds add up to 94%, the game gives each horse an additional 1%. This means that an evens horse has a 51% chance to win, but still pays out double. This applies to every horse in that race. The odds are in your favor unlike roulette, slots, etc. It's like YOU'RE the house. You can analyze the horses in every race if you want, people have created spreadsheets where you enter their odds. And then only bet on those favorable races. But it's really not necessary because it's only a small percentage where the opposite is the case and the game reduces each horse's win chance to get down to 100%. I used to use the spreadsheet, then I realized that I wasn't losing much on the "bad" races and the time I spent calculating is time I could have been betting on other races. I figure it's a wash so now I just max bet on the best horse. And if there are two maxes I always bet on the top one because if I try to guess and get it wrong, 😢 feels bad man. So, bottom line, it's in the game code. If you play long term, no matter what horses you bet on you will profit. Imo, is better to bet on the best odds because it won't be as swingy and will slowly go up with slight drops rather than huge gains and huge losses. I've found 100k is enough to start with if you bet on the best horses, you won't lose 100k before you win a bit. Just cash out and leave yourself with 100k for the next time you want to play.
Every casino game has an expected return to the house. Things like slot machines can literally be tuned to change the rate of return. And to add insult to injury..... Claw machines work the same way, gaining claw strength per play until it gives out a toy and then getting weak again, ensuring a profit for the House.
In a real casino. But here they coded the horses wrong. The odds listed are the actual chance to win. However, in any race where the odds of all six horses add up to less than 100%, the game buffs the horses and adds 1/6 of that missing percentage to each horse. For example, if the horses are 3/1, 4/1, 7/1, 9/1, 19/1, and 24/1, those percentage chances are 25, 20, 12.5, 10, 5, and 4. Those only add up to 76.5. The game then splits the remaining 23.5 six ways and adds to each horse's chance. Making the new odds almost 4% better for each horse. So you're getting a 3/1 pay out on a bet that will win 2.46/1. And it's the same for every horse in that race. And because most of the races have total odds of less than 100% the player wins over the house over time. Enough to make a decent profit.
Me personally, I've also tested this and i had slightly different results I lost so much damn money. I must have lost 8 mil by the end. Slots screwed me over hard.
Man you gotta pair that black jack guide with a betting strategy though. I like to start at a set amount, and double the bet everytime i lose. When you win, you reset back to that set amount. You very slowly profit over time from the black jacks or different opportunities to double down/split
I love the black jack tables. I usually always profit by at least 100k. One time i was on a losing streak and lost 65k, then i discovered the high roller table, placed the maximum bet and won everything back plus a 250k profit. Totally worth it. But in terms of time to profit doing missions is probably better
Honestly, it makes me happy to know the casino plays one to one to its real life counter parts. It doesn’t seem to favor or rig against players more than a real casino. The rule of thumb I always go with is bring the amount of money you feel ok with losing.
I think at some point, the odds for winning at the high stakes table are lower than playing at the low stakes. I was on a roll at the low stakes table and, of course, decided to take the game to the high stakes. And the winning turned to losing, like a 180° flip. Could you test this out?
I tried that , it looked to me that betting over 20K per bet/hand significantly reduced my winnings and pretty much always led me to loose money , whereas betting a 20K max bet made me money . Stick to the horses , by betting on the lowest odds , I made aprox 300-400K p/h
As a horseplayer, this is the funniest shit ever. Not only is betting horses actually the most difficult undertaking you could ever imagine, you will go bankrupt faster than you could imagine going to the window and betting all the chalks and all the longest prices.
The commitment to sit and do this is brilliant! The casino seems to play exactly how a real one would (the house always wins). The only exception being the horses! How many ££££ per hour was that?!
Yesterday, I was on a nine win streak; won about 450k out of 78k but lost it to 715 chips lol. The money was from doing two of Ron's missions since they are 3x money and RP this week. Kinda entered the realm of gambling addiction for an hour. I never really used this casino besides the penthouse and the Lucky Wheel.
I’ve been watching my brother play games at the casino in GTA. He thinks it’s an optimal way to earn money, and so I tried to explain to him how a casino works, and he thought I was lying 😂😂😂
If the casinos are making money, which they are, then more money is being taken out of people's wallets than being returned. Same with insurance, except that's a little more justified...
Won the jackpot twice on diamond miner, I don't spend much time in the Casino but if Im in Casino its diamond miner for 10-15 minutes. Generally if you stick tonthe same machine you'll start to work out if you're going to get wins or not. I keep my chips around 200k win or lose and feel like i get better luck around that amount.
In horse racing, it's like this: The hot/cold horses cycle over days, generally. And within those timeframes, they heat up and cool down. You have to watch specific names - it's worth having a pen/paper handy, and even then you can get fooled. I had big winning streaks, but I had big losing streaks, too. It can be maddening. The only cardinal rule is to bet the max, every time.
I have played everything in the casino too. Not quite as long as TGG has done however (how was the frontal labotomy anyways TGG??). With regards to Blackjack you bet low for the first two hands or so than bet high for the next two or three. The most I have won was $1.2 million and the most I have lost was about $300K, before I quit, lol.
Great vid, for the roulette it would have been interesting to see if there was a pattern between landing on red and black( does it go, black, black red, black, red, black, black) does that make sense?
I've played about 2500 games of blackjack and got to the point where i can almost always precisely guess what hand the dealer will have. I personally think blackjack is rigged. On the other hand poker is actually not that rigged and since it's the game that you can bet the highest on makes it a really good way to have fun and also win big. I found it to be profitable at most times. Overall it's a great feature in the game so i can feed my gambling addiction with only online money 😂
@@BPodShorts Same. Blackjack you have to change up your strategy. I’ve stayed on 12 or 13 before just to have the dealer take the next face card and bust out. Change it up and it will be profitable
