@@mrbuster7255 not a chance in hell. I’ve looked, only weirdo 30 year old collectors have them and then flip them for hundreds and even thousands of dollars. There are original booster boxes going for 20,000-100,000
@@robertgammett8718 so 30 year old that collect pokemon are weird? Or you mean people who have been collecting pokemon for 30 years? Cause I'm pretty sure that's not possible
@@adammonahan687 I’m referring to the 30 year olds that made Target and Walmart stop selling them because they run in and buy everything out then flip the prices on line.
@@Mnr_mo only if you get someone willing to pay the highest price for each. Which nobody is going to unless it’s a card in mint condition that isn’t manufactured anymore
minus the ebay fees, minus the taxes, minus the grading cost of like 200 bucks or sum, you end up losing. Plus all this time you have to invest to individually sell them...
Yeah not to mention the 1-2 years it would take to get cards graded right now. Also no care kept in some kids binder is going to be in great shape. You can pull them out a new box today and won’t be a 10.
You know what would be amazing? People buying cards simply because they enjoy owning them rather than worrying about how much they're worth or how much they can flip them for.
yeah tell about it back in the pokemon boom era (2020-2022) i was just thinking about the cash i could get but now i just have myself a sealed collection and just enjoying the cards
To be fair I see a lot of TCG players including me that really take into account the price of individual cards. The thing is that there is a lot of trading/selling cards at TCG card store where most people go and play so knowing how much your cards are worth are pretty vital. Most people aren't those click baity influencers that inflate the price of garbage cards just to trick people.
why is there no laugh react on RU-vid. you if you can't make 100$ with that id suggest you never try to sell anything. or if you are going to lowball yourself just let me know ill turn a profit with your cards that you undervalued
@@honkingthechickenaway5973 If the condition is in poor condition forget nm priced unless you are talking to an idiot. Hey its murica and there is bound to be a fish.
No one said he’s using eBay that’s just the go to for price checking in anything. Most sellers post back in marketplace or other sites where the fee is lower or at least I do when I resell something
People would be trying to sell a small collection like this in my area for $1000 and state "no low balls, I know what these cards are worth". I would never find vintage pokemon on the cheap.
You are definitely one of those guys who can’t stick to one niche, and ends up failing in every business venture you try. Maybe this RU-vid thing will work out, but it is very obvious all these little “side hustles” you tried, have failed.
Exactly. He gives off a real con-artist vibe, so I don't think that he deserves to be RU-vid famous - unless he can make videos about something that's honest.
@@joe_mack___ you're* And that's a strawman argument. I'm talking about him being a con artist and you're crying about me allegedly not being "chill." Edit: he deleted his comment.
Unfortunately, the only real way to make a profit off of Pokémon cards is having PSA 9-10 graded holographics, or downright factory sealed booster packs from gen 1-3. Everything else is pennies and nickels. People are dumb for thinking this could make you money. You’re better off collecting Coca-Cola cans in your local neighborhood than buying someone’s wrinkled cards.
Wow… back around ‘00 I had an extra 17” monitor (big deal back then) & a couple sticks of RAM (I think 64 or 128MB total); well, a friend tried to trade me something like $40 + a shoebox FULL of Pokémon cards, including 2 Charizard (I don’t know the specifics but the one everyone was always hyped about)… Being the smart, young entrepreneur I was, I took a hard pass on his proposition, since Pokémon was a stupid kids’ show, whereas I was a sophisticated middle-schooler & hardcore DBZ fan collecting DBZ ‘anti-mayhem’ cards! I think I eventually sold my used computer stuff for $100 or so. Still stings to wonder what I passed on. Almost as much as passing up ~$33 Bitcoin around 2012-2013 believing it to be a small internet novelty, and my skepticism reinforced mid-2013 when hearing price had dropped from $150+ down to $60-70. Bullet dodged! Little did I know considering my passing on & forgetting about BTC was dodging a financial bullet, basically equates to me trying to ‘duck & cover’ to stop a financial atom bomb! Yeah, so anyone looking for a proven track record of solid financial/investment advice, I’m willing to share my financial moves & investment opinions (which over ~2 decades have proven to be about 180° from the profitable decision)!
There have been many different pokemon cards made over the decades, so actually finding for your specific card is likely going to be hard. We'll see if you actually manage to find a buyer with so many sellers.
@@xCrystalTokyo If he only did it here and there, I wouldn't even think about it, but it's at the end of every video, OMG it gets on my nerves can't watch anymore
Remember, condition matters. If you got gunk on your cards, whitening on the back, scratches on the foils, printer lines, you are not getting mint/psa grade prices
I bought hundreds of that Mew Cards Sealed on Ebay for 0,20 € each when it worths nothing 😅😅😅 that was like i dunno 20 years ago or so. And i still got them
Cut back to my mom throwing away both my yugiyo collection and Pokémon collection which had rare cards worth thousands today cause I was “too old to be playing with kid toys”
It’s all about complete sets my guy. I’ve had a 1st edition first 151 collection since I was a kid in the nineties. I expect to sell it for AT LEAST 100k when I’m older
people do sometimes not realize how valuable their stuff is and sell it, my mom had something she was going to sell for 20 bucks but then i went to the sold section on ebay and found out it was going for 300-400 dollars
Didn't think those ancient mews were going for much anymore. Remember when you could get them pretty dirt cheap, with even some sellers giving them away as extras if you bought enough from them XD
know a guy who had a sealed box of those (400 copies per box) and wanted 5$ a piece. which was a fair but not amazing price when I spoke to him. now I kinda regret not buying the whole thing 🤣
And now take 15 bugs from every card and you have the actual ungradet price. Garados shadowless is 20 ungradet and you can buy a mew between 10 and 30$ ungradet. Its fabulous how media and influenzer wanna spike the prices 😅
$382 and that’s a price already listed on eBay so take 5% then another 5% because you’ll accept offers. Then fees 10-15% from the website. Plus shipping costs. Can’t sell any of those $4.99 or under cards realistically either without wasting time. You maybe made $50
Dude! No way! That binder is mine and my brother's from when we were kids. I CANT believe you ran across that. We lost it moving from house to house at one point.
I had nearly every shiny from all the original sets from when I was a kid, like base, rocket, jungle and fossil. Sold them at a boot fair for £2. Probably worth thousands. Still haunts me to this day.
You have to consider card condition aswell when pricing. This is why i have people bringing me their crusty cards telling me they should be mint still 😂
So many people are now collecting cards theres honestly no point in collecting to sell cards unless you get something that everyone needs / wants, honestly its a waste of time to collect cards to sell now days
I’ll be honest, you can make a good deal of money from those“whole bunch of nothings” and I’ll tell you why A lot of collectors who are just starting out and who cannot afford to buy a whole booster box or multiple boosters packs for that matter tend to buy individual cards.
Bru eBay prices might be the worst possible way to judge a cards value loom up prices at places like tcg player it’s a much better sight for judging values of cards
