This thing seems pretty good. I thought it would be junk, but it seems like it picks up pretty good, and I like how it shows the coordinates and heatmap of where every one of your darts hit the board. It is great for keeping track of exactly where you are hitting.

So your all telling me you would not want to play against the pros as you would get beat . Well for 1 I would love to say iv played against mvg or Phil Taylor I would not care if I lost badly . And 2nd they might bring the best out of me and I might beat them who knows. But to get better at darts you have to play the best and learn from lossing .

I really like the concept. As others have mentioned it's a bit of a premium product. I could imagine spending four to five hundred us dollars maximum for a unit like this. And I would need to have games with friends weekly to justify the expense. That said, I think it's great. I wonder if the computer and camera in a smart phone has the muscle to do what this system does if someone developed an app for it. Our cameras can already recognize bar codes and some other types of objects for VR. It doesn't seem to be a stretch to think a smart phone or tablet can achieve the same thing.

Automatic statistics are VERY good. I suppose you can squeeze a lot of obscure details if you just try on this contraption. I like that. A lot. Much smoother than doing it manually.

They should market the heat map feature way more than the self counting aspect imo. Anyone who struggles to count their score can just use the calculator app on their phone for free. But he heat map could be a massive advantage for practise

Very good video, but I have a request: Could you try out whether the system works completely without errors with soft tips? Experience has shown that this does not harm the sisal boards (if you should have concerns about this). And you should have a few soft tip darts from the Christmas calendar, right? A friend of mine plays it at home because it's a rented apartment and the wooden floor is very high quality.

The part I missed is where this thing might take away a big portion away from learning to calculate the scores yourself? Obviously the system works amazingly well, but for me there is strenght in practicing the math yourself :D ps: you should totally rotate your board to a different T20 :P

I work as a data scientist, I might look into doing that, it is quite difficult due to the possibility of inaccuracy due to the phone camera not being as high quality, and the possibility of not being able to host such an intense model on a cell phone, thus driving up costs each time a dart is thrown. If hosting costs go down defiantly possible.

A lot better for people like me with learning difficulties not having to work out the checkouts, it's hard enough just working out my 3 dart score sometimes. Very expensive too, I only get disability.

Nothing really, all you need is wired Internet and a phone, tablet or computer to follow your scores. If you don't have wired Internet in your darts room, you'll need a powerline adapter 👍

Yeah but it's a 2 minute job, the system does it for you pretty much, you just make sure the cameras are angled correctly but it helps you do that too

All depends on where your foot usually rests, it might be enough, you'll have to measure out 40cm and see if both your feet fit inside the gap

Have played with this System a couple of times at a friend’s house and it had some issues with recognising my Darts. Oddly enough never when it was on the wire or something, but when it was obviously in an other bed, and only with my Darts (must have been the long points or something) But it was only 1 in 100 to 150 Darts, so that is o.k.

Ahh okay, so, I assume you're in the UK? Since we left the EU, you no longer have to pay taxes on items such as these! But, you will have to pay taxes when it enters the country, I was refunded 166 quid but then had to pay 144 quid in taxes

Simple. They made the product and the software, then priced it at that. Not rocket science, and not that expensive either. If you can make better yourself, code the software and services, valuing your time at minimum wage and still make it cheaper, go for it.

Not yet, although you can get a powerline adapter for 30 quid which does the job

Nah so the powerline adapter comes with 2 boxes, one you plug in next to your router and the other plugs in next to your Scolia and you connect the wires up and it uses the mains in your house to transmit the data. If you search TP-Link TL-WPA4220KIT 2-Port Powerline Adapter on amazon, that's the one I use and works perfectly fine
