Theresa, you got some good things to stock up on. Yes I grew up with Spam....my Mom use to slice it and put BBQ sauce on it and put it in the oven....that is a vivid memory and we love it....that is really the way we use to have it but I know there are many ways to have it....I think that is great your granddaughter will be helping you this summer and you helping her out win/win....have a blessed rest of the week....:-)....Debbie
Good morning, I love spam and it is a staple in my home as well. I fry it and make a sandwich with mustard on it. I try not to eat too much though due to the salt content. Enjoy your time with your helper this summer. 🤗
That is a nice haul. It is so good that Jade is there to help you. It will be a nice summer job for her, and it will be great to spend time with you. All my nieces are grown so I don't have any help and I need it, but one day at a time. They did consider Spam poor peoples food growing up as well as cornbeef in the can. West Indians we called it bully beef. I do not like spam, but I love the canned cornbeef and also cornbeef hash. TFS Sis ❤❤
Being alone and disabled, the hard fact is prepared frozen meals and chunky soups costs less. You are feeding just you. Save meal preps for 1 or 2 days per week and it will be half the cost. My total monthly food cost is about 190.
