I SPENT £777 ON JOHN PYE AUCTIONS

I found John Pye Auctions from eBay and was immediately hooked. I put a lot of money to purchase some items like electric and oil heater, TV-projector, hair-fan, watches etc. I had quite a shock when I learned that 40% + delivery is added to the hummer price but it was just a start in uncovering the truth about John Pye Auction ill business practices.
Please like and share so less more people learn about this!

Hi JDenis, nice video! Most of people who buy from Auctions should see this video before the make their bids. However, I don't think it is the auction house's fault. It is simply because people do not know the following 3 rules before they buy anything from this kind of auction. 1. There is always a reason why the item was sent to an auction. Normally it is because the condition is not suitable to re-sell from a dealer. If you can re-sell it as Used condition on Amazon, you wouldn't leave it to be auctioned from 0. 2. Unless you know the item or know how to fix it, do not buy something you never seen before. You will end up pay additional labour to fix it. 3. If you can, always view the item before you palce any bid on it. A perfectly sealed box can have a broken item inside.

Excellent comment and yes, something you learn when you deal with auctions. Doesn't excuse them for selling shattered and faulty electrical equipment that can cause fires and result in deaths

It was good to watch your video...im with you all the way...ive just spent over £600 and at least £550 straight in the bin....its pretty shocking. the main lesson i have learned is under no circumstances...never ever buy anything electrical...as per a comment below...there is a reason why the item was returned. :(

Had some up's and downs with them .. Some stuff was good, worked, kept some and sold some stuff, some stuff was junk, some stuff was incorrectly packaged (so unless you are there in person to see you won't know if the actual item is in the box unless it is in the photo) and the added on fee's are absolutely ridiculous. VAT, buyers fee, high delivery costs through DPD (which will obviously not cost John Pye that amount) and VAT on top of the delivery fee ... absolutely fucking scandalous ...

I'm with you 100%, great comments. Vat on postage and vat on fees was a shocker!

Shocking! They should be sued for these practices.

I buy items from this place and sell them on. Last lot I had I found an electric bike in full working condition. We tend to stick to buying furniture as you can see what the items are like. I stay away from electronics and go and see the stuff before the auction. Pallets are now rubbish so we stick to other items

Its 45% now. its hilarious. better of going to ebay. It should be illegal not to disclose if an item works or not. I've only bought furniture. Seems the safest bet. but now they put a "premium TAX" on EVERYTHING. You should have done a charge back.

I just discovered this website and I don't understand why people bid 20-22 pounds for 3 paks of coffe sachets when they sell for 10 in Asda

i think they are somehow writing off their taxes this way. It is illegal

Very True. Specially Electrical Items are waste of money. Anything you buy from John Pye has hidden faults or broken somewhere so thank you very much for your video to create this awareness.

If you cannot view your items I would seriously consider not bidding. I receive a box of broken bits and could not get a refund!

John Pye put false prices on items - very high prices which encourages bidding war. So it’s a way of increasing their income and revenue. Big scam

Do you know any other place better than John Pye? I am really tired of receiving faulty goods.

I don't see how any of you are making profits. The bids are so high, then when you factor in BP and VAT, your own time for reselling, packaging, posting etc. Like even something that costs £10, with delivery is near on £25 to your door.

don't be fooled, I bought a printer that I don't have and now I'm asking for my money and nothing. And when they send anything, it's dirty or broken

@@THEEGGMANwooooo not at all, I sent them a very well written and professional email and called multiple times being super nice. All they say on the phone is to write to after sales, and after sales have same reply, they ask to send them more details and pictures and after you spend time doing that they tell you to f off with same copy paste reply that there is no return or refund and sold as seen. Again, electrical items in a new box which are absolutely burned and can kill person using them, is that ok? Sorry to offend their feeling then. Evil, rude and rubbish company selling absolute junk and doing no use to the world with their existence, quite the opposite.
