Important Announcement!: TL:DR: I lost interest in Overwatch 2, have dropped the Doomfist video I was creating and will be producing League of Legends and variety content more consistently and frequently. There will be no more Overwatch 2 content in the foreseeable future. Long version: Yes my next video was gonna be 10 Hours Doomfist, however during the production I felt unmotivated and making progressing was like pushing a boulder. Mostly because I have lost interest in Overwatch 2 due to some disappointing decisions made by the dev team, thus I decided it was better to drop the Doomfist video and rethink my content plan and workflow, rather than force myself to grind it out. I've decided to return to producing League content (of course of higher quality this time) and increase the frequency and consistency of my videos. I will also be producing videos of what other games or content I feel interested in. Although I may no longer produce Overwatch 2 content for now, I hope that you'll stick around as I'm sure the videos I'll produce in the future will have the same charm as they did before and that you'll still be able to enjoy them.
With the way overwatch 2 is going, I've quit as well. The gameplay felt so painful due to how roadhog and orisa were running RAMPANT in the meta. And I can't even begin with the monetization. Good luck with the league content, I respect the decision.
a great tip for genji's ult is that if their team has more squishy characters, you can wait until they are all at the same place then use your ult. it makes it 100x more satisfying
I got a triple kill with a single slice, the most satisfying thing ive done. Also i love how as a genji main i relate highly to this besodes hating other genjis I see them as fun competition
Yes, that is something to know, but even if there’s two or three players in front of you, USE DRAGONBLADE. Most newer Genji players, hold onto their Ultimate until the right moment, when all the smaller targets are in one area. Or, if you’re looking to get the play of the game, you can target three squishy characters, and if a tank on low HP is nearby, hit them before they die, and you will get partial credit. This will count towards you getting POTG.
this is super high quality content, from the way you went about improving, to the sound effects and visuals of the video, to even the clever ending to the vid. im actually shocked at how little your following in in comparison to the quality of the content seen, but i want to thank you for inspiring me to really want to grind out some genji with the stuff you did in the video. if you decide to commit more to content creation, i really think you could have a serious chance at making it big cuz you've got a knack for making educational and also high quality content. keep it up dude.
Wow, thank you so much its very meaningful to see someone notice all these details and appreciate it, this is great motivation to keep me going, thanks again!
Im glad to see more Genji players in the community. I have personally been playing him for years, my goal is to be the best Genji in the world one day. Currently I'm a masters Genji but I am working hard every day. I really find it annoying that we as Genji mains get so much hate for simply playing a fun hero, but it's whatever.
Aye, I just started being a genji main myself, and I do it on controller too. Been averaging around 6-10k damage per match depending on the team I'm with and how much I wanna suck that day. I swear this character is so fun it makes u wanna go pro lol, sos satisfying to get good plays with him. I spend all my time in discord tryna convince my friends that I'm a valid genji and they should try playing him too lol. On another note, imo, Farah is the most annoying character to fight. Either her or Moira. Especially Moira as genji cuz u can't really dodge her, she can just right click u and lock on
@@supplantermusic9413 honestly when it comes to hating someone simply because their hero is "annoying", people could make the same argument for ana's sleep dart. They could make the same argument for immortality field. They could make the same argument for literally anything in the game. Genji is a character who specializes in punishing mistakes, but as you know Overwatch players are irresponsible as fuck so instead of saying "I made a mistake and will do better next time so I dont get punished for it" they say "omg Genji is op"
What?! I seriously thought you were some 1 million sub Chanel that I stumbled on, but damn! You are underrated man! Keep it up and you will see the numbers one day
tip: you are a hard counter to bastion, if you see a bastion go into turret mode you should get to him ASAP and deflect in his face, this will often lead to him killing himself because he cant see the deflect as easy, if you dont have deflect spam jump and keep infront of him, the second he notices you and starts to blast you, dash behind him and try to hit the blue light for as long as possible, you should not stay as close to him as if you deflecting, that will just get you killed.
I needed this video Yesterday I was playing Genji and I got into the right state of mind. I pulled off 27 kills on 1 match and it just felt so good, I was finally the Genji I thrive to be :)
I'm in the same situation lol, I loved Genji when I was little but I was never able to play Overwatch 1, now in 2 I'm trying to learn how to play with him
Imagine trying to teach people about a character you have such little experience in. It's like an apprentice mechanic trying to share with his buddies that he knows about blinker fluid now and can teach them how to change it
Haha blinker fluid, the video is more for entertainment and im not trying to teach people about genji but more of sharing my journey of learning genji and my perspective as a new genji
This is awesome! Amazing video man. I've been thinking about the same thing training and working on a Genji however I've not figured out training codes and what not yet. This helps a lot thanks man you have my audience!
I didn’t even know you were barely starting my dude I clicked this video and absolutely loved it and saw that you have little vids I hope to see you grow just keep on that RU-vid grind brother!!
ok you have improved a lot, if you want my advice though the biggest things you need to work on now are target priority, and keeping a mental map of your enemies especially in dragonblade
you even provided the background music in the description NICE Good content but as a genji main myself here are some tips: dont jump aimlessly you are going to be way too predictable good movement can make you from a decent genji to a great one also before using any abilities its good to right click to provide more dmg including the ult much love from a singaporean
"i swapped left click and right click" this remenbers me when i played overwatch in the free time post wrecking ball launch and since i was 10 and didn't know that you could swap the mouse clicks i adapted my brain into left clicking with genji since i main him despite not playing him that well
really video ! i appreciate the time code + that u put the code of ur training map in the description :D the video is really clean and fun to watch +1 follower
I have over 1k hours on Genji and I think there's 2 ways to play the hero: 1) You get a team that plays around you so you can be SUPER aggressive and keep dashing on cooldown (Necros gameplay). Shuriken consistency is a must though as you get little time to finish off the kills when you're dashing into the backline aggressively. 2) You get a team that ignores you and focuses their resources on the tank/other dps. If this happens (which sucks) you're basically a blade-bot. That means that your sole purpose is to stay with your tank and healers and keep spamming shurikens, while fighting off enemy flankers. When you get your ultimate, try to ask for some pocketing but even if you don't get it your goal is to kill at least 1 or 2 of the enemy supports before you die (you will most likely die unless your team helps you) or escape. When OW2 started I was actually so happy that Genji was viable as a flanker/assassin without need for 24/7 pocket. It's too bad now, Sojourn will basically oneshot you, close or far range, no matter what you do. Specially in this moth meta.
Now its the time for you to really, REALLY focus on putting out THE best conent you just possibly can create! You made one vid to trend, next video has to be even better if you want to stay viral & gain even more subs! Amazing to see how you ”blew up”! Genuenly great content, deserves a sub & notifications on. Quick suggestion, people liked this video, so what i’d do next is make one similar video with another popular character, OR maybe turn this one into a series. Absolutely class, good luck with the future
I started playimg Overwatch 2 around 3 weeks ago without any Overwatch 1 experience and around 3 days ago my main DPS were Soldier 76 and Mei, but damn Genji is a whole different level of satisfaction
As a recent Genji main and former Zen main. Upping my sensitivity was the hardest part. Practicing 180s and my dragon blades and I'm still not that proficient at him after 21 hours played in comp. Still have 57% win rate on him rn.
what you also need to learn is target priority, so you dont waste your alt. sometimes if you can just take out the 2 dps and then bail out, that can turn the tides of the match
something that really helped me with using blade is target priority. for example i go for squishy characters without escaping abilites like ana, zen and cass and i avoid moira, kiriko who can escape very easily
Remember, not every Genji ult is going to land you a team wipe. Make sure you at least get one kill, even if you waste it his ult charges quickly so don’t fret.
