I know it might be funny, but Yoru's case is like Astra... It turns out that both aren't really terrible. People just don't want to put too much effort into mastering an agent that demands to be a little more creative lol. But this less than conventional side is what makes them cool to play. But now, now it HAS to be the Chamber video next. Bearing in mind Clec's aiming difficulty, it will probably be one of the hardest, but we want the Chamber challenge next, please! Good video!
@@fluentpwn8065I mean it’s true, 2 of chamber’s kit are literally guns and if you don’t have decent aim with one tap guns like the sheriff, guardian, or any of the 3 snipers. Then you’re going to struggle with chamber’s guns and the only 2 abilities you’ll be using very often are his trip and tp, maybe even just his trip if you’re even scared to take a duel or get a pick and get out without dying.
@@clecYTI swear PLEASE do chamber next. He’s a very fun agent in my opinion and while he might not have the flashiest plays compared to agents like yoru and neon. He offers a variability if you can get creative enough. Even despite all the nerfs he’s still pretty fun to play as, just not as broken as he was in his prime from late 2021 to late 2022.
Honestly, a super underrated agent. People are starting to see his value now because all the Yoru Mains have reached their skill ceiling for this agent. And maybe because TenZ started playing him too 😂
fr, the pros are starting to use yoru and lots of yoru mains like eggster are making him popular. I really like his kit for versatility as he has info (clone), flashes, space taking, instant rotates, get out of jail free, and has no real hard counters
The thing about Yoru is that he used to be the worst agent by far, combine that with the fact that he's one of the hardest agents to play so a lot of people have trauma with troll Yorus. In reality he's one of the best agents to solo q in mid to higher ranks where cordination is more common. You have a good number of #1 radiants who main or used to main him.
The main reason why I think people dislike him is because he’s easy to play but hard to learn, he also has a super high skill ceiling that some players can get to and when the do they can be annoying to deal with.
As someone who’s played yoru quite a bit, at the start when he would use his ult and at random times he would use all his abilities back to back was frustrating to see. Also reminded me of the moon-knight meme where it’s just like random bullsh*t go
Yoru is for players who think, "Why not?" Jett and Raze have better entry pathing. Reyna and Iso made for taking fights. Phoenix has easier, more practical flashes. Yoru? None of that. What he has is charisma and by God you will feel it.
Nah, its clear you know nothing about his strengths. His biggest and most broken ability is using his tp as a repositioning tool / site rotate similar to chambers escape tp except you have unlimited range and you have 2-3 of them and you can use it as a fake distraction as well. He also hard counters every sentinel utility in the game without even having to be there. His ult gives perfect info and guarantees 1 kill with a low cost weapon like shorty or bucky
To sum Up everything. Yoru IS an Agent with a very high Skill sealing. So somone must max Out there mechanics and Gamesense to make him Work perfectly. That IS why His picrate IS so Low in lower Ranks and Higher in the Ranks from asc/immo/radiant. Once u get familiar with His Kit u can have a huge Impact. Basicly making him a duelist with His flash an Initiator with His Clone and ultimate and sentinal because after plant He can hold flank for His team. The golden rule for him IS: don't do anything twice Always BE unpretictable. Also His perfekt playstyle IS beeing at Ur Team to going lurk to going Back to Team (lurking can also mean doing plays for himself) and upsidedown (lurk, team, lurk) Nice Video tho. For context i am a immo 3 yoru Player.
Dawg that is so true, I started playing val a month ago, and playing yoru has been a great time. I literally named myself unpredictable a few years back and now I can feel my destiny.
I have seen quite a lot of comments stating why they don't see or can't seem to understand how Yoru is a hated agent. To keep things short, Yoru is an agent that requires mastery to bring out the agent's true potential. For others perspective, having a Yoru on your team is either a blessing or a curse (mostly a curse since Yoru is not for people who do not try to use an Agent to its fullest). Yoru's kit is actually very useful and extremely good in some cases and if used correctly. Another reason why Yoru is a hard agent to master and use correctly, as his kit and his whole gimmick relies on the enemy making mistakes. The chances and odds of Yoru plays can differ and vary on numerous factors, making him a difficult agent to use correctly, as you would have to hope or juke your enemies, in hopes of them fucking up. A background on how Yoru became more hated, as the bandwagon of Yoru being titled as the worst agent or duelist, people have begin to choose him as a troll pick. Compared to others duelists, if his teleport is located by the enemies, even accompanied with a blind, depending if your enemy makes a mistake, it cannot compare to a Jett dash or a Raze satchel for entry. Not to mention, Yoru's audio ques are also loud as fuck, giving the enemy a chance to locate him if he teleports wether it it's real or a fake, most players can recover quickly if they are going against a Yoru. Yoru is a flashy agent that for him to work, you would have to do crazy shit that would look like something straight out of a clip or compilation. Proving that his gimmick does not always work, and another Duelist can contribute more to the team, as Yoru's kit only benifits him, unless there is another duelist or an aggressive initiator that can assist Yoru with entries or retakes in order for Yoru to function properly and contribute within a team.
reasons why yoru is a hated agent: 1. he can spam flashes in ult meaning he can flash you then come out of ult 2. he can summon his clone as an actual clone or he can fake it himself
@@shiro-126 nah, if I were playing yoru, I wouldn’t get annoyed. He’s not very bad. Agents like iso, neon, yoru, and Reyna are more challenging to go up against when in the hands of a skilled player.
@@diamondguy-xs4lg My bad. I did not meant Yoru is an annoying agent. He is very fun to play. I've played dozens of hours playing Yoru from his pre rework state in my playtime. And if played him good enough, he is considered to be broken. The reasons that you mentioned is mostly for the players that are up against Yoru and they found that annoying to deal with.
@@shiro-126 exactly, I don’t mind going up against a yoru. I’m just stating reasons why he’s pretty tough to deal with when going up against a good yoru. Obviously not impossible, just difficult, and trust me if there’s 2 things that get under my skin a LOT when playing valorant, it’s one, Odin/ares users since you’re basically walking into a death trap if you decide to push on them, and two, constant flashes no matter who the agent is and wether it’s your teammate or the enemies. I HATE flashes.
I was literally asking myself when your next upload would be, and after looking at the older ones thought it would still be a month or 2 away, so Happy surprise for me seeing this
Yoru is, imho the most fun duelist. Misdirection kits are always fun; part of the issue is as your enemy's skill rises, it becomes less outright effective. Similar issue to every misdirection character in any game (good example is Mirage in Apex) In lower level lobbies you can get away with tping behind people or flashing simply because people dont have a headset or the reaction time to counter you, and theyll probably shoot a decoy or two at least. No second life or kill mechanics also hurt him- Raze, Jett, , Phoenix, all have damage/ reset potential that outdoes Yoru.
As a resident Yoru main, his skill ceiling is definitely one of, if not, the highest in the game. Playing as Yoru just gives you a little more adrenaline due to his risky and unique moveset.
I haven't finished the video yet. But this agent is either a bottom frag flame lord or a monster you wish would touch grass. And its never the monster on your team.
He's starting to become my favorite agent. If you hate him you just hate to put in the work to get good at a character. I've gotten plenty of aces and play good with this character
Honestly for me, while I do my best to work with the team, the moments when you just borderline autopilot and do "yoru things" are when you just do better.
Thank you for making a video on Yoru. I'm a new player, and all I was going to ask is if you can show me some tips because I really like your other videos
I main yoru cause of the risk of dying during a teloport and i enjoy having flashs and a clone and the tp is just so clean overall i main him cause he’s fun and comfortable to play
Very noice vid. What’s the name of the song that plays around 8:10? I wasn’t able to find it. Props to your Yoru improv, you do it better than I would lol
I liked playing Yoru before it got a rework although then I was iron1, when I got bronze1 the most needed for victory is a good smoke, in silver lineups and setups, in gold1 timing, map control (and a good computer because on 30fps higher than silver3 you won't get) and of course aim and everything else. And now I'm thinking of starting to play Yoru again.
Was the first duelist I actually bought and had a ton of fun with. His kit just allows for crazy fun and stupid plays and thats what I aim for in playing games. You just need to know your timings and learn his kit to be good at him. So that you can do some crazy shit and get away with it
