As a pleb who only does 4 domain runs per day, it's amazing to see my same terrible luck drawn out into a 40-minute rapid fire video. Truly the real Genshin was the RNG we suffered along the way.

This is so relatable for me, I've been trying to build the Raiden Shogun FROM HER FIRST BANNER and she's still terrible. I have been living in the EOSF domain for like a year.

Hoyoverse laughed at and mopped the floor with me when I was farming the vermillion domain for BOTH Xiao and Ayato, I thought “I have them both, this domain will HAVE to give me at least SOMETHING.” And I got dog shit. Then, I pulled for Scaradouche and thought “Well, guess the new domain is going to be my new home for now.” And then, the RNG gods blessed me and in just 2 days I had an entire set for him at 1.9k atk, 180 crit damage and 88 crit rate. This domain was my fastest ever and I’m so glad I got lucky this time, I still have PTSD from the vermillion domain to this day.

I was pre farming artifacts for raiden and had over 1500 resin to waste. I was looking for an er sands and a atk or electro dmg goblet. I finally got my er sands with good sub stats (had crit dmg and crit rate) at first my artifact rolling was going good, I was rolling into all stats I needed. But this one, oh boy. It rolled purely into defense and flat hp. I now have 1,020 flat hp that goes to raiden now 😃

I got a anemo damage bonus on set with crit rate damage and attack but then it went all into the defense line 😃. I got a single good flower so far

Idk if pressing spacebar is more useful than left-shift so idk, it depends on your flexible fingers.

TLDR: It's around a 1/8064 chance to just get a good on set feather in genshin which is harder to do than getting a shiny pokemon and you're limited to how much you can farm a day. The resin system is disgusting I wanted to figure out how its possible to just get nothing out of 2k resin so i did some math. I didn't want to get too crazy so i decided on doing math on getting just a really good feather, we're talking on set, crit rate and dmg, and rolls into just those two stats. So once I put in all the numbers and got a 1/8064 probability to get just a 3 line feather, roll 4th to get the other stat, and then get rolls into either one of said stats. To put this into perspective: if you've ever played pokemon, shiny pokemon have a 1/4096 chance of appearing and that's still at a rate where most people don't even see a shiny during an entire playthrough or multiple! I've known people who haven't gotten a shiny they wanted for over a week with techniques that INCREASE the chance to 6/4096 and can do well over 40 attempts a DAY. It's actually insane how hard it is to get a good artifact in genshin especially when you get like 8 runs a DAY without paying/having a stockpile of fragile resin. (Note that I'm no math major or anything so it may be wrong in parts but overall it should be fairly close to the answer if anything)

2k resin is not a lot, it's not even 3 weeks worth of resin, normally decently gearing a dps character takes upwards to 3-4 months which is around 17k resin, managing to complete a good set with less than that is on the rare side. But by the time you finish, you'll probably have at least 3 busted Flower sets

the desert pavillion domain was really a waste of time because of its bad RNG, silver lining on my farm was getting 2 good dendro dmg artifacts with good crit stats. this also why i sticked (well stuck) with the 4pc. shimenawa build for my wanderer.

I have such insane 2pc shimenawa and gladiators that any 4pc pales unless they are good pieces themselves as well. I have so much crit from them that I run atk% circlet on wanderer for better optimised dmg

I got 4 good bloom pieces in one run and out of 400 resin got one anemo DMG goblet on set with garbage stats VV it is 80/185 crit ratio with double hydro and Layla is my favorite comp so far built a great bloom set for yelan HP/hydroDmg 60/170 has been fun with nahida and Nilou

This method usually works for me when i enhance my potential artifacts using higher level ones (+13 and above) as sacrifice usually itll turn out good. I dont know if my words are making sense lol

Actually atk percent is really good for wanderer as his signature weapon has a high base atk

How do you actually "save up resin", is that with fragile resin and if it is how do you get so much fragile resin?

I’m surprised there isn’t more burnout or revolting against the artifact system with 8? layers of RNG. The artifact system will be part of their own undoing. Last time I went on an artifact run was when Shimenawa/Severed Fate was released. I think I did 3 runs and reminded myself it’s not worth it right now.

This happened to me too. I saved fragiles and used like 40 of it on the first day of update just to get at least decent 2pc set... Till this day, I don't have a single piece for Scara. I still use 2pc glad and 2pc VV. I kinda regret using my fragiles :((

I gave my Wanderer the pieces of Ayato 4pc echoes of the offering and he has 2,5k atk with memories of the dust (3k full stacks) and 50/190 crit. I dont think I will get better pieces anytime soon. My poor boy Ayato tho x.x

I've spent like 2500 resin on this domain and got an atk sands in Desert set with crit rate, crit dmg and flat hp. The last became ER which was great. And then it got 1 low roll into crit rate and rest into flat hp -.- Now it just exists to annoy me because I bet I don't get any better sands. The best pieces I've gotten in the Desert set is a flower with 34 CV and 9,3% atk and a Crit dmg helmet with 10,5% crit rate and 17,5% er. They're good but nothing amazing.

Let us hope Hoyovers in the upcoming versions gives us an item that changes the main stats or sub-stats

Honestly, he has so much crit rate built into his kit that you really don't have to focus on that. I actually build his team to have 2 cryo and one pyro unit so I can get all that juicy crit rate on to of the ascension bonus he gets plus the substats on my gear. I run 4 piece shim because I heard it was good on him plus I'm really focusing on that domain lately because I've been on a mission to improve my artifact sets and after 2 months of grinding (plus the 2 months I grinded for raidens rerun and xingqiu) I got him level 80 him a 4 piece with a 58% crit rate (which once I finish grinding ascension mats it will boost to like 63%) and I got 252% crit damage. After the swirl plus the 2 cryo synergy I think I'll be anywhere from 85% to 90% crit rate so when I tell you focus on other stats, especially if you're running the weapon you're running, I mean you'll literally be better off focusing on other stats for him....

I actually got fairly lucky in this domain. My ratio on him is 200 over 55 and that's only at lvl 80. I think I'm gonna farm for a few better ones bc my atk is only 1500. But I use bennet and Faruzan so my atk gets increased to 2000 with pyro.

Usually I'm not the type to believe in a "cursed domain" other than Crimson Witch of course, as the name fits there's obviously some witchcraft with the drop rates there. This new domain has brought me nothing but garbage, I honestly don't think I've had such terrible luck with artifacts in a long time. I had fragile resin saved for this domain so I can build Wanderer, now I'm just not going to waste it and keep saving it. I can tell I'll just end up pissed off if I waste it all for no good pieces lol

That domain is a pain especially for mobile players like me, I can only do 2 runs in a row then stop since it makes my phone heats up faster and sometimes crashes ;-; (it doesnt happen in other doamins)

Dendro domain was the only one in the whole game that was good to me and geared my nahida and tighnari. I have around 9 months in blizzard + emblem domain just for some 1.5 ish builds

i just spent like 1300 resin on the first day when this domain came out and I got his full set, 70% cri , 240 cdmg. Was heavily blessed with some extra godly pieces too.

if it helps ive been also up to 2k resin used on this domain.... if not more, and I've actually not gotten a single good piece, the best I have is a 10% crit rate 12% crit dmg feather, only one atk% sans with no crit substat, and 0 anemo goblets but 20 goblets of other elements

Hoyoverse should add a strongbox for pavilion piece as well domain is too cursed
