Sometimes It's nice to take a break from the vehicle combat and grand strategy to live the simple life. Yes, the simple life with ogres, war, plague, famine, dragons and even Vikings!
Kingdoms and Castles Is genuinely one of my favorite games, especially in the village sim style, I've covered over the last few years and I was so happy to be returning to It!
I really hope you all enjoy this video as It Is something that would normally be 5+ episodes but I feel like this condensed 'movie' format is perfect for this type of game and the gameplay recorded so I would LOVE to try more of this style of game in the future!
...Also may pick up the DLC of Kingdoms and Castles too one day!

I just want to say I've gotten back into watching kingdoms and castles and you are by far the best K&C player I've seen so far, in terms of layout, planning and moneymaking you just make the most sense to me so I would like to say well done and keep the videos and great gameplay up because it's really good to watch.

Something that might help out in future: You can click and drag to cover an area when you have the "rebuild" tool selected, you don't have to click each destroyed building individually.

Each happiness buildings stack on top of each other as long as it's not the same building other than the decor buildings - like gardens. Distance from the buildings also affect how much happiness you get so the house furthest from it would get the least. I spent hours trying to min max the best config for my peasants. (I miss nerve stapling already)

Never stop these long vids. Love FTD amd Kingdoms and castles. You can split them apart into 2 or 3 parts even if it really is just one vid. Upload all parts simultaneously. Should really help with the algorithm a lot.

Sorry I have seemed to make a lot of comments but I absolutely love this game. Those new dragons you saw are called siege dragons. They target military targets. Barracks, archer school, siege workshop, towers, etc. hope this helps.

Peasants gain skill when working a job, so when you turn the towers off and on again - if new peasants get selected for the towers, they have no skill and the total will go down. Additionally, peasants forget other skills while learning a new profession (e.g. a previous farmer will slowly forget how to farm if they become a quarry worker), so if you turn them off for a few years almost no-one will have skill anymore.

An excellent play through! I wish you luck on more, and yes I want more of these! This has been a very fun movie and I would love to see two or three more play-throughs of this game! Maybe you could treat it like the midevil version of Stellaris and try different things! Like a massive map size and trying to solely beat or befriend/diplomatically pacify all of your neighbors until they are all tributes or full allies? There is so much more fun to be had! I look forward to more! This has been my tribute of words to the great algorithm.

A couple of years ago I tried to make the max population, i filled literally every square inch, all the rivers, in what seemed like the most optimal population. I had to use dozens of festivals to keep people happy, and strategic chokes for vikings to run through dozens of guards (they sometimes got throught but at 5k pop, gold was no object) I put walls on every edge to create the chokes, Dragons were a joke with balistas on every wall. Fun game a waste a few days on, might have to check how much its changed

Another comment: You could do survival mode in a custom map, either created yourself or you could possibly find one through the Kingdom Share feature, which would allow someone to create a map and then share the "kingdom" with you (even if they haven't placed down a keep yet), and from there you can fully customize and play the kingdom.
