Being a part of DevSlopes has been such a rewarding thing. The only issue I face right now is finding the time to put those hours in between work and outside work schedule/responisbilities. Going at my own pace is such a weight off my shoulders. Thank you so much for everything youve done/contributed to this. It really makes a difference when I can actually see a much brighter future than I did 2 years ago.
Thanks so much for this Hayden, this truly means a lot! For sure sometimes life gets in the way, and there's nothing wrong with that! Keep up the great work man, can't wait to see what this journey has in store for you!
Man I like how he explained the programmer to job path and only at the end did he say how rewarding it is. Sometimes we do be hearing what we want and then skip
I have a PhD in computational condensed matter physics, about 2 years ago I transitioned into software development and integration. It is overwhelming the amount of information you need to even get started! Fending pretty well now, but darn it's not easy and super time consuming!
Online Academy is perfect. Because honestly, I couldn’t do self taught for the same reasons Jake was giving. With that being said, I have a friend that now works at Google and he went down the self taught route which took him 1-2 years to really break into coding. As Jake mention about putting in so many hours a day self taught, my friend also said he use to put in 8-12 hours some days. So if you’re willing to go down that path it’s fine. But all in all, in my opinion I think online academy is the best path. Because you get to stay in the academy up to two years and you learn the basics and could also reach out to mentors!! Just remember guys which ever path you take you have to put in the work and work hard at coding anyways to progress and get where you want to be ! Good luck to you all!
You are my party , Saturday afternoon.1.Rule = stay sane.2.Rule = try not to land on the street. How many cameras do you setup for this video ? ! I will build my page alone. Microsoft is still a programmers error.I prefer a nurse. Cool me down.I liked it.
Bro…. What job market are you looking at? In all seriousness…. Glassdoor has the outlook at -11% that said…. If people do everything you said, I think it would give them the best chance of getting a SWE job 😬
I rejected this youtuber notion of forced Frontend dev and started learning Backend dev and it was the best idea, its WAYY more fun and interesting if you actually like CODING. Currently building microservices, rest API's etc with Golang and it has been way more fun than trying to get into a frontend or fullstack.
I like your jiu-jitsu mentioned and sitting home instead of practice with people , but that's needing also time , not realistic when you are daddy ! I think finally we are ripe for musk's neural-link maybe hybrid approach with second interface implemented , like a e-brain within the brain , or all application ready. You driving me crazy ..... coding is like composing , no more lone wolf pro players , i don't like teams.
It's non-stop will break your clocks , until your eyes become black rings and close all-together , why not command AI to do it key ready ? It's soo fast obsolete again , your nerve brain is firing and will wear out , would you like finally ending up , ohh hey i am programmer , forgot where I parked , what is my name , finally where am I ? ..... dis ' you like it ! I am not satisfied being farmer , i need an output Modell from nothing. The job is there , but we are lost. From home is all bad , no movement is death.
thats cuz everyone and their mom does javascript and react and all these online gurus keep pushing it, if you select backend path and grind even harder and niche down you see jobs literally with 0 applicants for months lol. they are DESPERATE for people. dont get sucked into this guru JS/react circlejerk
People like you are literally the problem. This type of pessimistic energy is why you won’t be able to make a career transition - it’s easier to say “Ai will take everything over so it doesn’t matter” than to say “I need to spend 24 months developing a skill”
@@devslopes yep It’s me only me… it’s a reality grow up…. It’s coming faster than you think either embrace it or just keep walking down a dead end road …and remember keep comments respectful :) looks like I hit a nerve
@andrescarrilloestrada984 Even if you are right you can still have a more positive outlook on things. Whilst AI may become much more relevant in these next few months or years, it doesn't mean that a person shouldn't be able to dedicate themselves to something they are passionate about. I hope that you find something you are passionate about so that you can find the same feeling many others do about coding and programming. ❤
@@SavageMonkey685 not sure how my comment broke so many hearts … it’s my opinion…. Do as you please but my thoughts are if you are looking for a new career for the future then you need to do a pivot and start to look at other roads or else you might find it hard in the future… if you just want to learn programming then go for it… I have children and I sometimes wonder if even the courses or career plans for the future will even exist in 10 years….
