I Spent 4 Years Looking For My Online Friend

My best friend and me used to play this game with a few of our friends, she died of type one diabetes at the age of 21 years old. Every time I get on and create a new server or world, she gets a lighthouse built. This game is incredibly special, it's been years since we've lost her but her memory lives on. Minecraft is far more than a block game.

I had a minecraft friend that I missed for a long time (similar scale 4-5 years) and that I looked for and never found. One day, for some strange reason, I watch a young streamer playing a random PvP faction server and pressing tab while 3 players were online. I instantly recognized the username and got into a call with him for the first time in years. That felt nice

One of the few gaming related stories that restored my faith in humanity since hearing about the Lapras Repopulation Effort where a kid playing pokemon read Lapras' pokedex entry that said it was nearly extinct. This kid spent weeks breeding Lapras and releasing them. This story is on par in terms of wholesomeness, you definitely gained my respect and my subscription

Minecraft isn't just a game where you play and create, It's also a game where you create great friendships and bonds!

This was honestly so heartwarming, you gave me and many others a glimpse of hope to once again find our online friends whom we have lost. It seems like a miracle you were able to find your friend after 4 years, although you only played with each other for a month, and both your characteristics and talents really sticks out, and the way you both played with each other seemed like you were best friends for decades! In some other peoples cases finding your old in-game friend is actually really hard. They could just not use Discord, Twitter or have a RU-vid Channel base on their in-game name. Nonetheless this story is heartwarming!

It's great to see this side of Mustard, not just an insanely cracked speedrunner (as I first knew him for) but a really great dude overall! But even that aside, this is still such a killer story to tell, rock on Kae!

It's honestly impressive to find a friend you've lost for so long, it's amazing how things like these can happen. Your story is amazing as well, someone you played with for a while and liked, separated by time, both made content on their own without ever recognizing eachother. It's wholesome and impressive at the same time. It's nice to see people who are separated reunite.

I found this today and it reinstated my faith in humanity. It was so nice to see such a wholesome story in a community I've been part of since I was a kid. This is genuinely just so cool.

I had practically the same story, instead of just losing them however, they apparently were in the hospital. They were on the verge of death, and I was unaware of this. We met up through content creation. Their computer and data were destroyed from a house fire. (why he was in the hospital) In this time, I started content creation because Minecraft was getting boring. This made me have more fun with the game, therefore playing it more. I queued into a Bedwars game, and I could have sword I knew that name. I went down a rabbit hole, trying to find this person and when I searched on RU-vid, things changed. Apparently, they had made a new account and named it practically the same. They had the same story as me, got bored of Minecraft, started making content. ❤ (I spent 10 mins writing this) 🔽

Ive had many of these moments before. I actually met someone on Thursday that went to my pre-school, and it was great to meet him again... I really think this is a great example of true friendship, and we have memories that stick around, and that we can come back to and enjoy. I enjoyed this video a lot, because I reminisced on all the great times I had with my friends.

I've got a pretty similar story! There's a player who I used to be on an SMP with a tonne. When the SMP closed we had no other way of contacting each other - but a couple of years later we both happened to be playing on this really obscure Minehut server with about four other players, and we were like... dude. What are the chances?

Just came across your channel & this video for the first time which kinda brung back nostalgia from when I had a friend on ROBLOX who I used to play on Welcome to Bloxburg with all the time until like 4-5 years ago he stopped playing and never came on since. This video reminded me of him. 🥺

Something I’ve realized is that joy can be found in even the smallest of things from the most unexpected of places. To look at light filtering through the leaves of a tree, or to speak with kind strangers on the sidewalk, it all makes life feel just a little less monotonous. Even though every person knows that these moments can’t last forever, that just makes them feel all the more precious. It makes life feel a little more precious. Yes, life can feel horrible sometimes, but after the dust has cleared, you see how beautiful existence is again. Sorry for that, the video got me contemplating life again. And that means that you’ve just earned a subscriber.

This is a really wholesome story. I personally have some friends i have met online that I have lost contact with completely, but seeing someone managing to find their lost friend again, kind of fills me with hope.

3 years ago, i had 2 online friends that i found while playing among us, we added each other and started a giant friend group. but after they broke up, they deleted their discord account along with the server, now the big friend group has parted 2 ways, till this day im still waiting for them to return, cuz that's what they promised. its nice to see people reunite with friends and family. thank you kae for the wholesome vid!

This is absolutely amazing. Gives me a similar feel to how I found a friend on Roblox a few years back (I believe I saw him again in 2021) after not seeing him since 2009. We both thought it was surreal that either of us remembered each other. Especially since we weren't too far apart in age and I was only 8 at the time. Both of us were on newer accounts too so that makes it even weirder. My current username doesn't even slightly resemble my username from back then either, and neither does his. We just ended up adding each other on Roblox and Discord, then started talking and realised we used to play back in the early days together. Nothing is as awesome as recreating friendships that were lost for a long time.

This is so cute! I remember playing a game (I can’t remember which game) in mid-2019 and I made a friend and we played together and messaged each other for a couple months and then one day I got home and their account was gone, still don’t know what happened to them, I hope they’re okay. I’m glad other people are able to find their friends after not seeing or hearing from each other for a while.

Honestly this made me wanna cry tbh, I love Minecraft because of the community. This game definitely has a special place in my heart. It genuinely reminds me of this discord server I used to be in where me and my two friends had decided to make a server realm (because they knew I was stuck playing on a phone, so stuck on bedrock) and honestly I have a lot of positive memories with them. Especially defeating the ender dragon for the first time. I'll never forget that tbh, and this video is a great reminder of it. I'm incredibly happy it appeared in my recommendations, and the fact youtube is actually recommending me smaller content creators makes me outrageously excited.

This made me cry… I’ve recently had a friend who’s been going through rough times. His grades are bad, he has trauma and constant nightmares, and struggles with drama online. We met in November of 2019. We played a lot! Like a lot! I then introduced him to one my friends. But in 2020 my friend ditched us and left a whole in his heart. In 2021 he had a friend and they started group called “ the colors “ it was a group with 3 people Him as yellow co-owner his friend as green the owner and I as an original. The group grows to over 30 people! But we stilled stayed in touch and were always there for each other. The group split in 2022 and is now with members but it wasn’t like what it used to be. He was more popular in the group then I, so it became a struggle to play with just each other alone. This year is when it was always me and him and 2 or 4 other people. We’d played together as much as we could because it was hard to not be in touch. We were apart each others life’s… his account gets banned. He makes a new one and all was well. He got logged out and created another new account. It being is to October. His mom is not doing well mentally and is now very strict. She had always been strict but not like this. We used have eachother on msg but his mom blocked me in February of 2023. He told me at somewhat of the beginning of November it would be his last day. For me it was 6:00 pm for him 7:00. I had to go to basketball practice and I was nervous to never to speak to him again. But he assured me his mom would let him play on the night of his birthday. I get home that night, I text him even though I’m not supposed to and he says “ She hasn’t gave a final answer “ and that’s the last I’ve ever heard.
