Turns out you don’t actually NEED the new set for Arlecchino, you can just use Gladiator. It’s a 5% difference between Symphony and Gladiator, Glad being the slightly lesser one🥰

kinda a rant from what I've read and seen/learned via playing with her and also some minor things to note about the new set and her best stuff. I'm 90% sure others have said everything I've said in this somewhere in these comments, but if they haven't and I'm wrong about any of the stuff in this, I'll edit what I said wrong and I'll mention that part was edited. now onto this rant thingy. the new set isn't just for her, but it is... niche in my opinion. if you want to use to it properly you need to be a sword user with a specific 4 star sword, be a catalyst user with a specific 4 star catalyst, be a polearm user and have them take the Crimson Moon's semblance (Arlecchino's signature weapon) or be fighting enemies who inflict the bond life, which I only know of 2 in total (I count it as 2 but it's technically 3 but because 1 is just 2 variants of the same enemy I'm saying 2), first is Arlecchino the weekly boss which is the newest one, and those new Fatui Cryo and I think Hydro guys that came out back with Fontaine's release. oh yeah also another way to get bond of life is to just be Arlecchino, I don't think anyone else inflicts it on themself. also the debuff is cleansed by healing the character who has it inflicted, what happens before it's cleansed is the bond of life removes the ability for whoever was inflicted with it to get healed. it just takes the heal and makes it seem like it never happened, unless your heal is just disgustingly massive in which case it doesn't matter how much bond of life you have it'll disappear right away and you'll get the excess healing that overruled the bond of life. excluding Arlecchino and only Arlecchino, since she has a passive that removed her ability to receive ANY healing from others while she has bond of life making it so you can't cleanse her of it with any healer but only by spamming normal atk or using her ultimate. also her best in slot artifacts are Glad, her signature set and Crimson. Crimson/Glad are kinda just placeholders, where Glad funnily is considered almost able to rival her signature set. from what I've read it's only about 10% worse than her signature. Crimson I think is worst option but it still works REALLY well imo. her best F2P weapons I think are the deathmatch, Black cliff spear, Fjord and White tassel. white Tassel since it increases Normal and it's she mainly does normal attacks for damage (but you can build her as a nuke with her ult, it's just not really recommended.) also all of them give Crit rate and can let you focus a bit more on crit damage! also I didn't mentioned Jade wing here since idk if people count it as "F2P" since it's a 5 star but since it's on standard I'll just mention it's a great choice if you have it, as I've read a lot of people say it's pretty decent even when compared to her signature! not better, but pretty good still. now on NOT F2P, her best would absolutely be her signature the Crimson moon's semblance, which funnily enough is the only way I can think of that let's you inflict bond of life on yourself as a polearm character. another pretty good option I've seen would be Homa, she scales off atk but the extra HP would help her survive and the other part of the passive is great for like anyone. Staff of scarlet sands isn't one I see spoken about much but I think it also could be decent if your doing a vape/melt or Overload comp for her plus it's crit rate. oh yeah also her skill is incredibly unimportant and unless you plan on trying to make her ult a nuke that's also unimportant. best option is to hard focus basic attack levels to crown and she'll do nutty damage. mine is only talent level 8 and level 71 but she does 100k crit's with just regular basic attacks near everytime while also on crimson witch which isn't her best in slot.

I made a big comment about stuff involving Arlecchino but I forgot to mention they actually DID keep the Scythe thing! it's just an exclusive thing to Arlecchino. if you have her Scythe and do normal attacks you can see it transform!

You should do E, then wait the 5 seconds to the mark get better, while rotating with your support, then go back to her and follow with CA + NA, that gives her more BoL, so more damage!

You must try Arle with Bennet , Kazuha and zhongli or xinqyu in place of zhongli ( in vape team we prefer take xinqyu in place of yelan because hydro application of xinqyu is better )

Jade spear is actually her second best (her bis is her signature) for a standard dps build because her attacks just line up neatly with the passive like that. Also she does get crit dmg everytime, hoyo has just been buggy with you ascension stats as of late. Found this out while building my Diona, got very confused when i saw there was no cryo damage+ on her third ascension so i checked what it was before and it was an increase, mihoyos just been silly lately

I use crimson witch on her and she deal 120k+ damage on normal atk and 200k+ on her burst (lv 80) ( C0R1 )
