Hi Tony! I was on the ship too as a travel advisor. I saw you a couple of times but I never stopped you to say hello. I watch your videos and I think they are great. What’s interesting is your experience was much different than mine and the fact that they seem to have more of a scheduled presentation for media than they did Travel advisors, so it was good to see some of the experiences that I did not get to see. It’s really hard to get the true experience in a three day cruise on the ship of that size. But overall, I think the food was excellent, and the service was great. But I also agree with you the loyal Princess cruiser I’m not sure if they’re going to love it. Maybe it’s more for new to Princess guests. I’ve been booking Princess over 25 years and I have a large loyal Princess clientele. I have someone booked for next year med for 21 days and I was happy they booked a sanctuary, mini suite, and will have the perks of the sanctuary restaurant and pool area 👍

Tony, Thanks for the informative video. We'll be on the Sun Princess Nov. 30. Since we're Platinum members we've been to many of the Caribbean stops so we haven't scheduled any excursions (yet). One main reason is that we've seen many review/tour videos about the Sun Princess and determined exploring the ship will be an adventure. We also were just upgraded to "Sanctuary Collection" which I have no idea what that encompasses, it just adds to the adventure. JimH
As I watch your video, Tony, I am actually on the Sun Princess. Have been for the last week and will be for 2 more weeks. I agree with you on all counts! Lots of changes to old school Princess, but I too welcome innovation. My biggest concern was the use of The Dome as a venue for shows. On a ship this size, it is impractical because it doesn’t accommodate enough people in one sitting. The lines are long to get in - if you do get it. I am fortunate that I have another opportunity to try for it this week, but that’s not always the case. Either they use a bigger venue or have more repeats of the same show. Or they will have a lot of disgruntled passengers.
Never heard of Brito, so much for "world famous". I vote for the sushi. Love it! I'm not against change, if it logical or rational. Change for change sake...not so much.
Thank you for your honesty and fantastic coverage as always! We were on the Transatlantic ahead of you guys. We weren't super impressed with the ship, but we also know that they have a learning curve with this type of ship. Bottom line is we will definitely sail on here again, but we would prefer a Carnival Excel class ship over her.
“The food didn’t look abused” I think that is a fantastic way to describe buffet food that is handled by guests instead of the crew! I’ve been on one Carnival cruise where the buffet was crew served and I must say, I prefer that option! I’ve seen too many times when, to put it politely, old farts come out of the crapper without washing their hands. 🤢
I’m going to admit that up until this moment, after seeing soooo many videos about Sun Princess, I was convinced that the name of the restaurant was LOVE BITE BURRITO 🌯. 🤦🏾♀️

I spent 3 weeks sailing the SUN in the Mediterranean back in May & had a spectacular time! The ship was gorgeous & the entertainment was the best I have ever experienced on a cruise ship. I highly recommend sailing the SUN
I am a princess loyalist and i am excited to see a new Princess ship layout. 147 days to go. And i have 21 days to get the ship layout under my belt, 3/22/2025….Thx for your recap🚢🙂
Great video Tony! I would LOVE to sail on this ship! One day hopefully. And I love destination elevators. Got to experience them on Carnival Panorama. In one week I will be on the Celebration. I wish Carnival would have continued with those elevators.

Hi Tony. Wow... Talk about a whirl wind trip. You certainly had alot of things packed into what seemed like just a few hours. After all that I'm sure you were tired. Now you can go back and enjoy many of the area's you're interested in. It's been a hot minute since I've been on Princess, this just makes me want to check it out, especially the Sun Princess. This was great to see because we'll be on the Magic Castle theme cruise in November (though it was just a regular cruise when we booked it) and are very much looking forward to it. We got a cabin upgrade too so that was frosting on the cake. Look forward to seeing your full trip on Sun in the future.
7 nights is not enouph onboard the beautiful SUN PRINCESS, I was onboard 2 months ago , and planning to go back next summer. but for sure on a mini suite including the premier package , or SANCTURY SUITE if prices are affordable. Enjoy your trip TONY.

We just got off of the sun. We were in Walter's group and had a phenomenonal time with a couple of hick ups. We had a sphere balcony which was neat. My wife and I enjoyed the mdr more than the specialty restaurants and really enjoyed the thermal suite.
Enjoyed the way you told the story of your experience on Sun Princess! The ship looks very nice and I would be interested in going on it. We are going on a Princess ship for the first time next summer-- Royal Princess to Alaska and can't wait to see what Princess is all about.
My POV on my 7 days completed today. Tony . can't wait to see your video on your trip as a customer. I think we said on out trip a dozen time " what would Tony say" Direct: I hope all the folks who love the ship have a great time, but this big ship is not for us... Yes, the lifts are nice and work rather well. ? some of the lifts have a screen in the lift with the floors to pick but it does not work ...confusing. The eatery ...where is line ...caused some exchanged words ....it got better near the end of the cruise but it sure was not clear....If this was to save food, this is a miss...it was difficult to convey how much you wanted. Alfredo's: not my place with the game shows going on in the " Plazza " noise American Dinner: nice place but small menu. Eclipse: easy in and out place to eat ( we had the Soleil dinning at first but slow eating.) The catch by Rudi was nice setting but food for us was salty...the table next to us overheard us and agreed. O'Malley's: I tried many times but could not get in. International Cafe " my wife's go to place and she liked it. Park 19: all the riding parts are gone but the structure is still in tack...(funny it's to be torn down but they were painting it?)

Great video Tony! Makes me want to try Sun Princess! Btw, several folks are concerned because Princess cancelled the cruise on Regal for the week of Oct 27th! Yikes! Sounds like Engine trouble.
Spent 32 days on the Sun Princess.. Brought it across the Atlantic from Athens to Fort Lauderdale. My comment would b they better redesign the ship. Way to many passengers for dining n venues they offer. It's sad when u spend a month + on a ship, n never get to see the Aqua show n lose ur enthusiasm to go to the arena to see the shows because u have to stand n line for hours + to even get a seat. We were premier for the Transatlantic part of our trip n got there 45 minutes ahead of showtime, n they told us ",sorry , we r full " We never heard so many ",sorrys", n I apologize, n all our years of cruising.. N if we get 2 hot meals n the dining room, consider urself lucky .
Got a question and couldn't think of anybody else but you. We thoroughly enjoy show a lot of knowledge we have been traveling for years. We're in our mid-60s technology. We're not that good at it. So the simple question here is my wife wants to know that if we buy the internet package on carnival cruises and this is on the sunshine can she play her Candy crush?❤️🐸
I remember videos when the Sun Princess first launched. They were rehearsing some type of Cirque de Soleil show. Did they say whatever happened to that? Thanks Tony!

Are you getting ready to quit doing cruise videos for good. This is the second time you said no cruise night. I understand you have family engagement. Did you hear any updates on what is replacing Park 19? I am considering booking a cruise on the Sun Princess but would like to know when the renovations will be finished.
I noticed a lot of the experiences were in areas not everyone can access and even if you have a package a lot of the named dining isn’t included either. Just an observation.
