Sitting outside SW and ORG dueling for literally hours and hours are some of my best memories from these old wow expansions! Cata and mop had all the top pvpers out there dueling everyone and it was great to get to duel them! You actually knew the top pvpers on your server and crap. It was great times!
Literally everyday of my life the last 5+ years i go outside of SW hoping people will be dueling again Even in wow people are on there phones being boring af
Mage are like rogue in this xpac. You do so much more effort to win while the other class got kite the whole game and did the same damage like you. Atleast this xpac you touch the mage and he die. In Dragon flight , they so tanky vs melee. These alter time and shifting power are toxic. They basically dont die.
From Retri experience in the long past, fighting a mage who knows what he/she's doing without LOS is literally just suicide lmao. Man this actually got me nostalgic, used to duel a lot back in TBC/WOTLK, defo some of the best WoW times.
The difference of Wotlk-Cata-Mop Class Designe and Game Developement compared to Retail WOW is astanonishing its so much more Advanced you would think Retail WOW a Game from 2024 is ahead and they build on the Gameplay of Cata,Mop etc but they actually tuned down the Game Mechanics got rid of CC,Abilities and Damage Healing etc and now Cata is way more Advanced in comparison to Retail just crazy when you realy think about it its so much better designed ..
@@eggshapedisraelioperative6317I disagree, retail just LOOKS more fast paced because of the mobility creep. The pacing when you’re actually playing Cata feels quite similar to retail, compared to wotlk which felt like slow motion. And to pair that fast pace of Cata with the weight of your globals and your positioning it’s quite fun. Retail globals are super forgiving with Misinputs and misplays and you can stand almost anywhere you want if you’re not a healer and not high rated. Cata PvP seems a lot more positionally important and it’s more important to press your things at the right time, not just press them on cd like you see in solo shuffles
@@sqwippysquishy5287 Sorry, but you’re just completely and utterly wrong, unfathomably so. You are a 1400 player at best. Just so incredibly wrong. And don’t compare shuffle “tactics” with cata 2s/3s, like retail 2s/3s don’t exist
@@eggshapedisraelioperative6317 2100 in shadowlands and dragon flight on hunter, Druid, rogue, warrior, warlock. I never even push I just play for fun Que with whoever but I rarely do solo shuffles bc of the Que. And I’ve played the game being a fan of PvP since mop. I’m not bad and I’ve played many hours, have you actually qued Cata 3s yet? Retail arena is not hard and it just doesn’t have the weight of each global that Cata does. Retail is all about having a 12345 step rotation to bursting on cd, throwing out your insta cast ccs on healers for a 4 sec cc to land a kill in 60% dampening.
God now THIS is peak pvp to me 😭i don't think I can do another classic, but man was this the most fun I ever had in pvp closely in line with wotlk. (Save the balance talk, im talking pure fun for me! Balance or w.e be damned)
In retail there are 10 different passives healing your opponent and you in the background and making it feel like your damage does literally nothing lol
Have a warrior that I main rn as prot and it’s great fun! But leveling a mage rn and I’m already getting stoked! Had one at max level back in the day and they were so strong and fun. Class fantasy was really there
for everyone reading and confused, it was bugged for many people. The spell blizzard would change to pyroblast with hs up, and the pyro that replaced blizzard was instant and could be used while moving. Regular pyroblast was also "instant", but it required you to stay still as if you're hardcasting and launches after a little cast animation so it wasn't really instant. That's why you had to use /cast blizzard /cast pyroblast macro, which solved this problem but to a degree, because the pyros were now instant but you couldn't use it when you didn't have enough mana for blizzard (even though you don't actually cast blizzard) It's fixed now
