with love dont be shy I get an orange blossom syrup. I enjoy it a lot but it can be too sweet sometimes. I've been mixing it with my darker woody scents and that works really well.

Love by Killian was definitely a love for me, until I got a decant of Nobile 1942 Perdizione from my perfume subscription. The opening is a bit different (Perdizione has lavender note), but the middle and dry down are really similar and it costs only half of the price from Love Killian. If you like peach in a fruit combo, please try Stricnina by V Canto (Tiziana Terenzi second line). It has everything, price is OK, the packaging is to die for and it lasts for a long time on my skin (8-10 hours). It smells expensive. You can check the Brooklyn Fragrance for a reference to this perfume.

I really love Princes and Love don't be shy! I also have Good girl gone bad extreme and I love the extreme more than the normal version, to me the normal version is a bit too light.

My happiest fragrance till date is Un Jardin Sur Le Nil by Hermes which was introduced and suggested to me by Paulina. You have broken the internet with your Knowledge and choices. I just wish it reaches more people. (Maybe a little less else everyone will smell as great as me 😭😛)

Ohhh man I HATED intoxicated!! Too much cardamom. My only total miss from Kilian. My fave is Moonlight in Heaven and Apple Brandy. You must try Apple Brandy if you like boozey fragrances! So yummmmy and perfect for fall!

Have you ever tried Black Phantom? I actually tried Love Don’t Be Shy last weekend, but I wasn’t blown away (but I have Princess and I love it). However, Black Phantom caught my eye, and I fell in love!!! 😍😍😍 It has rum, dark chocolate, coffee, heliotrope, and it is delicious!!! I think it may be more geared towards men, but I didn’t think it smelled manly on me and I’m not a type a woman to wear men’s fragrances 😉 I found out Alexandria Fragrances has a dupe called Dark Knight, so I just ordered a bottle! Can’t wait to get it! 😃

I also heard a lot of good things about Woman in Gold. Is that also on your radar. I have the Good Girl but not the extreme. I love good girl gone bad extreme layered with woman in gold. A Kilian rep said people love to layer both of them. I also really like straight to heaven extreme.

Hello Paulina, I have one question. How did you manage to transport all your perfume bottles to South Africa. Was it with you in the air plane luggage or was there another logistics which we can use ?

I ordered Forbidden Games and they didn’t give the same samples. They gave me the regular degular sample ones. I was not happy about that. Bamboo Harmony is so relaxing... it’s something I’ve smelled before but can’t figure it out. Forbidden Games smells really floral. It’s a fresh scent. Very sophisticated and flirty. Definitely not a scent I would automatically gravitate too. But I’m glad I got it for some reason. It smells super clean. However, I want to find fruit scent to layer with.

If you happen to check these comments a month later, Be Layered has a scent called Caramel Overdose and it’s supposed to be a really good dupe of Love! I have it and I love it... although I’ve personally never smelled Love. People rave about it. You should definitely check it out!

I have only tried 2 Kilian perfumes do gar and my thoughts of them couldn’t have been more different from one another, haha. Love, don‘t be shy: mostly synthetic smelling marshmallows with a strong chemical note. Don‘t like it at all. Angels‘ Share: Instant love. Pretty much my favourite fragrance at the moment. Boozy and woody cinnamon~ Beyond gorgeous. Such a lovely gourmand scent.

Glad you dipped into the niche By Kilian line, it is so much nicer than his Killian mass market range. I do agree that it is frustrating that they only sell smallish 50ml bottles, I think you can still do a very nice bottle and offer at least a 70ml size. My favorite from By Killian is Back to Black, to me this is the perfect scent for fall and winter (although I will wear it year round). I have gone through several bottles and it gets a ton of compliments. I also own and love A Taste of Heaven, Love Don't Be Shy, Black Phantom, Apple Brandy, Pearl Oud Doha and ironically Intoxicated hahaha. I also do own a small bottle of Princess, but I have to say that I don't think it really compares to Love Don't Be Shy. To me Princess is too flat and sickly sweet, something I picture a more of a teenager or young adult wearing, it is too much marshmallow and sugar for me and not complex enough to offset the cloying sweetness. My boyfriend loves it though, so I wear it sometimes when we go out at night and I know I won't be wearing it all day. Love Don't Be Shy is like the grown up version of Princess to me. It is more complex and while it is still a sugary marshmallow scent, the florals keep it from being sickly sweet. It is a massive compliment getter and one of the few super sweet fragrances I can tolerate for a full day without getting a headache. I think it is worth the extra money if you are someone who doesn't normally tolerate super sweet fragrances but still wants to dip your toe into that marshmallow note. If you are someone that loves sweet fragrances or doesn't mind smelling more like a confection than a perfume, I think since Princess does have that same marshmallow note it might do the trick.

I was at Sephora with my sister like one month ago and saw the Kissing scent on reduction. Curious, I put it on my wrist. At first I was laughing to death and kept laughing and telling my sister that my hand smelled like wee. BUT. When I got to my car, I sniffed my wrist another time. And I fell in love. I purchased it right away, in my car. I think Kilian is going to become one of my favorite perfume brands. I wanted to get Princess (I already have a sample and love it but it's not available on their website on 100ml and I only go with 100ml), I also want to smell After Sunter and Liaisons dangereuses tempts me enormously thanks to you. Kilian has been hit or miss for me. I didn’t get the hype with love don’t be shy which reminds me of Fanta. Sweet redemption similar to love - didn’t care for. I preferred gggb eau fresh over OG. I have both. I enjoy their darker offerings better back to black and black phantom so far. voulez vou is also nice.
