LOL your Rocco story . Reminds me of this story . One winter where we got a snow day off everyone slept in except my little brother who donned my moon boots, if you remember those, which were way too big for him and he went outside in the storm stark naked with only those moon boots on . A neighbor rang our bell got us out of bed and there was my little stark naked brother all pink from the cold in my blue moon boots. We were mortified then but now we tell the story and laugh... how he thought he was appropriately dressed for the snow in over sized moon boots and nothing else. We had to put a lock higher on the doors realizing that he now knew how to unlock doors
Lori..I'm a fan of your channel and a poshmark reseller...I live in Maine near Orono and would love to show you a couple really good thrifts when in the area....I know your son will be attending our wonderful University. There is a great thrift where 10% of all profits go to a charity of YOUR choice...they do a lot for the community, nothing is over $3.00 and I could arrange for you to film there and interview the owners about their sustainable mission. Not a stalker just a passionate reseller/thrifter!! LOL
I love the interaction between you and Kim. It's so wonderful to have a good friend and thrifting buddy. I have one too and it's so much fun when we're together. I never miss a video. Thanks for sharing your journey. 🙂
Awesome finds. I enjoy watching you and Kim thrift. I loved that you kept going back. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and showing us what you bought and what sold. You really make all the garments look so nice. I'm constantly thrifting. It's a passion to hunt for treasure. Well done! Love from Germany 👍💕
Hi Lori. long time watcher, fellow PM/Ebay seller. I'm 62, been selling for years before PM on Ebay. Always a great hobby for me to make extra money. Just retired in S. Yarmouth. Can I just say...U are glowing! Haha.."Whatnot" is agreeing with you! U are a natural, with the gift of gab! I never skip your videos. I have learned so much from you. Isn't a blast! The thrill of the hunt! Also, you have a beautiful family...Jay seems to be your "rock"...Mine too....34 years...going strong...Dang....not an accountant though...lucky you! Keep going Lori! You are killing it!!
Oh my gosh when you held up the little cowboy boots and mentioned how Rocco wore boots and nothing else. I laughed so much. My son, Adam used to wear his little boots, buck naked riding his Tryke.
I'm back with another 5 hour trip to the Goodwill Bins in NH with my best thrifting buddy, Kim!! Join us for the fun!! Remember to like and subscribe for more! Thanks so much for watching! xoxo
I've sold Danskos similar to the tapestry ones you showed. Like you showed, they wear on that binding around the opening. Mine were not as worn as the ones you got. I've actually touched up that binding with a black Sharpie marker!
Omg Lori your story about the cowboy boots … your son is going to love that you shared his toddler tale on RU-vid lol … but honestly my oldest son did the same thing! His boots were red and he’d run around naked in the yard and go play in the muddy or that’s what he called it 😂 I wouldn’t have it any other way 🌻
I need me a kim!! I can't believe how upfront she was last time about the purse someone stole from your cart. I just went to My 1st ever outlet/bins location. I was very nervous so I didn't get much but I'm glad I got the opportunity to go
Great video! We love Kim!!! She needs to be in the haul portion of the video! I will say I was disappointed we didn’t get any model pics of lulu Marie in her clothes 😂. Great finds and congrats on another successful Whatnot show! I haven’t forgot about them, I am just more busy than I used to be with school starting up. Great haul!
I meant to get Lulu in her pretty new dress! I'll include her in a future video, I promise! I hope school is off to a good start for you! I should have Kim do the haul portion one of these days. We are both usually wiped out after these marathon days!
Hi, Lori 🌸 Just found your channel, now following you on Poshmark, still navigating all of this world…I am a clothing junkie, so not sure my new obsession with all things thrifting is a good one for me (LOL!) Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. I’m on the west coast (Southern Oregon), and already finding locally some great buys. Anyway, wanted to say thanks…and where is that lovely Irish sweater?!!?! (Was searching on your sites, I love it!) Have a great day. 😊
Lol I don’t get GW’s pricing structure at all. Price things so high they don’t sell in retail stores and then sell them for less than $2 at the outlet??!? Seems to be happening everywhere.
I was just in your Poshmark closet to see if the vintage Eddie Bauer 80's sweater (no size was given) has been listed. I am interested so I hope you list it soon! Is Kim a re seller as well? You ladies certainly have tons of fun when shopping! Great haul!
Hi Lori! Quite a haul!! Wow, So fun to shop like that. Do they have "sorting stations" for you? Ours don't and they do not like you to sit on any of their furniture to do it either. I don't have that much stamina (bad back from being rear ended car accident) to stand sorting through the bins that long...I only last an hour tops. BUT I am commenting because you spoke of the expense of shipping shoes on ebay. I just sent out a 2 pound 4 ounce pair of Sam Edelmans new shoes (look like vans with a twist) and it cost me $12.00 across the US (WA to FL). How? Well, I could have sent through ebay priority for $17.00 or I could have sent U P S ground to save $5 off that but I opted to go to pirate ship. I put them in a box then put them in a polymailer bag and that was $12 priority usps. Maybe Posh is less than that? But that was not too bad. Also if the shoes are smaller, like women's size 8 or less and they are sandals or slippers, do not need box protection I will stuff them with paper, put them in a clear bag each, then slip them into a padded flat rate envelope and that is $8.20 on ebay. I don't sell a lot of shoes. My success rate is very mixed LOL. Sometimes I am spot on, other times not so much - most times. So I have decided unless it's a 100% STR everyone is looking for and its in pristine condition and right size...and right price, then I will get them. Otherwise they are staying behind. I did find a pretty pair of All birds...unique color and pristine and only $8 so I bought them sold them for $60 within a couple of days. Now that I don't mind LOL. If I could do that everytime...well, beam me up. But I do not. So, that's my tips on shipping with ebay: usps padded flat rate envelope for sandals and slippers and sneakers that fit...and box in a bag on pirate ship for others if you can. Ok back to watching your video (and listing my oscar de la renta robe).
Thanks for the tip! Good luck with that Oscar de la Renta robe! I love Pirate Ship. I use them for all of my direct sales and DePop sales, but I forget sometimes about using them for Ebay. Great reminder and that's a great trick with the box and poly bag!
@@LorisBostonFound YW and Thank you! Its so pretty (the robe) and such great quality. It has little white iridescent threading in the quilting of it. Someone will love it. Yes Box in a Bag. I bought plenty of larger polyvinyl bags for that purpose too.
Not necessarily...I know some Whatnot sellers who sell all New with tag items. Depends on the seller and the show. Good stuff can get bid up pretty high on Whatnot...it's just a little more risky.
Hi! Random question but I've never had this issue so if so anyone could help :). I had a buyer change their rating from a 5 star to a 1 and tell me the shoe they bought fell apart after a couple wears. I feel so bad so I would love to give her a credit or something but not sure how to go about that seeing I would have to charge something to send out one of my items and get the label correct? Any ideas? TY!!
Whatnot charges a 2.9% payment processing fee on not just the sold price but on the taxes and shipping. Sometimes I’m paying over 20% in sellers fees. So selling lightweight items is the way to go on Whatnot.
Do you machine wash everything or steam them ? Great video . I haven't sold many clothes yet so I'm still learning . I do plan to sell more mens than women's. Thanks !
Instead of baby wipes on shoes why don’t you use clorox wipes. They work great and disinfect. Don’t want the buyer to get a foot infection or or athletes foot. Baby wipes aren’t disinfecting anything and the don’t hurt the shoes at all I even wipe smooth leathers with them
Lori, has anyone ever made you feel gross for how you source your items? Or just for handling bins clothes and whatnot? I never felt that way until recently at my in laws. They just made such a big deal about it. It made me feel horrible. I don't know. 🫤🫤
Hi Lori - I’ve sold two Harmont & Blaine men’s button down shirts…one for $40 and one for $48. I also didn’t know this Italian brand but I felt the quality and gave them a go…always on the lookout for more! Katia
if you are in a hurry and want to know if the thrift you are in will have good items a good check is to check the shoes if they have quality shoes then they will have other quality stuff . If no good quality shoes then I do not search as hard that thrift and move onto to the next thrift . I also refuse to buy any shoes where the thrift writes the prices on the shoes ... I ruined a pair of leather clogs trying to clean off that marker
@@laurieambrose1742 yes I bought a magic eraser did not work someone suggested goo gone it dripped on a pair of like new leather clogs and caused a huge drip stain on the clogs unsellable luckily they are my size but I hate clogs
Your friend Kim is so amazing I love the vibe! I def would have fun shopping with her! ❤️ That Zelda monopoly looked sweet! I sometimes end up shopping for myself at the thrift stores and the bins 😂 so I’ve been doing it only once a month now
I absolutely love your videos and your thrift hauls! I just started a RU-vid channel myself on thrifting. Growing super slow! Your videos are so inspiring! You have so much knowledge, thank you!
Hey Lori, if you list those checkered vans on Poshmark, I'll buy them. They are my size if they are a Women's 8. I've been needing to purchase a new (ish) pair
