The thump goes away on better fitting devices...it's not the ANC.

@@imwhatsnew It's not that bad, but noticeable when I need to pump it up in the EQ :) I've been listening to music pretty loud all my life, so it had to go a little...

Yes, in my initial review I did mention that. It feels light and therefore kind of cheap but I think it should be pretty durable.

Firmware update ? To be fair , the call quality is quite well known on this device...it's for the ANC and sheer sound quality that you buy this...call quality is average. Nonetheless the newer LinkBuds s is much improved in this aspect... Maybe sell the xm4 and go for that?

I have the same problem I don’t like them but after I change the eartips to silicone they sound better this my eq. (400 -5). (1k -3) (2.5k 0) (6.3k +3) (16k +5). Clear bass 0

I do think that foam tip will isolate a bit more so the overall nc experience might be a bit better still. I'm a foam tip guys myself.

That would depend on your use case scenario. The Elite 7 Pro are smaller, lighter and more discreet in the ear with in line button controls (rather than capacitive sensors). They have a higher IP57 water and dust resistant rating, exceptional calls experience even in noisy environments and superior overall battery life with their advanced ANC enabled. Jabra's transparency mode (HearThrough) is the most natural I've tested for awareness and conversations without removing the earbuds. That being said, if sound quality and ANC is more of a priority over smaller earbuds and calls performance I'd recommend looking at the Jabra Elite 85t. They share many of the same benefits as the Elite 7 Pro but have better sound and ANC, not to mention they're incredible value for money. Hope this helps.

Not much has changed for me ..

Bump up the mids and highs to keep balance with the bass. Don't boost the bass ..it's already boosted. That's my preference but everyone likes different sound signature..you have to find yours by trying different ones :-)

A bit large for sleeping

For me..EQ + foam sounds far better... With silicon, I found there to be primarily far less isolation ... Meaning on them one hand, less noise cancelling but also on the other hand a more compromised bass response. To some people this might be perceived as a reduction in bass boominess but it is very much a compromise in detail and subtlety as well. Even with the mid frequencies, I found less depth and detail... This could be the tips I tried.. Plus the fact that I am yet to find silicon tips that match foam/ hybrid foam in performance . Sony's included hybrid foam tips work very well here.

@@imwhatsnew thanks. what about reducing bass boominess with EQ, and does it still sound warm/dark after EQ? regarding eartips, these are the ones that ppl said improved sound for them (the comply is a different shaped foam tip): -Final Audio (Type E) -AZLA SednaEarfitLight Short -Comply TSX-500 (foam) -AZLA SednaEarfit Crystal

@@Viewer13128 I have comply, spinfit, final audio and Sony hybrids :-) been using comply for many years but here..Sony hybrids do a great job..

@@Viewer13128 the bass is not sloppy, it does everything quite well except hit hard for hip hop / edm etc.. you can EQ it to be recessed but the better result is to leave it neutral or -1 and to push the upper mids and highs up a bit.

I think perhaps the sound preference is more to your liking...saying its better is a blanket statement... The liberty has very sharp..even piercing high frequency reproduction that cannot be solved by eq. Bass and mids are good but very bass emphasized..this Is a coloured sound and not a balanced reproduction of the music. This may be preferable to you ofc..we all have our preferences. I would counter by saying the mids and highs are more detailed in the Sony and the soundstage is much better. The sound is not perfect but reproduced with greater subtlety than the Soundcore l3p. For my tastes the Sony is far better. See what I mean ? Oh and the anc is a fair bit better too.. in a wider variety of noisy situations such as on aircraft for example.

@@imwhatsnew I don't agree. The mids and highs are easily tunable in the eq. Just like with the Sony 1000xm4 you can tune the sound. I think the liberty 3 pro have better instrument separation and all the same features besides speak to chat. The noise cancellation is very close to the Sony's. The Sony's block some more higher pitched sounds but that's about it. The Sony's are also very uncomfortable. I can't wear them for more than an hour.

@@zombieimpact2790 that's my point..it's good for you. The ANC is way better because that higher freq cancellation is more effective on an airplane as well as normal scenarios. The high absolutely cannot be tamed with eq on the Soundcore...many ppl have tried and agreed on this. Instrument separation is definitely great on the l3p ..would 100% agree with that. As for comfort...the Sony were more comfy over longer periods than the l3p for me....by a long shot. The l3p is a more universal fit but IF the Sony fits you( it's not as easily universal as l3p) then it works great for hours on end.

if you have an assistant on disable it, assistants leave the microphone on all the time and you'll experience more battery drain on the right side
