The way that Omega treated their guests makes me want to go out and purchase one right now! If only they still had the one from Casino Royale in stores…
They still have the stock from all Craig's era watches in Istanbul. You can find them in most mega malls. A bit pricey though since the currency is not stable.
I’ve just recently dove head first into being fascinated with high end watches, and wanting one obviously lol. I think in my lifetime that it’s going to have to be one and only one, and after seeing how Rolex treats potential customers vs. Omega, it’s really not even close. And as a die hard Bond fan (particularly Craig’s Bond), the idea of owning one in the future is so much fun to think about. I especially love the NTTD Seamaster’s colors.
You are a very lucky man but it is deserved as you’ve done so much for promoting all things Bond in a genuine and enthusiastic way. As agreed with my wife, I’m getting my NTTD Omega after I lose a specific amount of weight. I’m well on track (it’s not an obscene amount to lose).
Great choice of music, the nostalgia alone made me smile. Duran Duran was my favourite band as a kid and A View to a kill was my favourite Bond song until Chris Cornell & Adel created their versions, all 3 are on my iPods Drive mix.
Only started watching this channel recently, and what I like is that whilst the presenter himself says he 'nerded out' and yeah I'm sure some people may laugh at the whole focusing on ever minutia of detail etc, but when you embrace it so thoroughly it really comes over as joyous. And that's what we all want in life isn't it?
This is so refreshing seeing how much effort Omega put into taking excellent care of you & all the other guests! Not only from a marketing standpoint does it encourage fans like us to buy from them, but even just seeing how committed & passionate they are about the whole experience makes us fans so happy! So glad you got to talk to Daniel again as well! You must get a picture with him next time to redeem yourself😁 You guys might as well be best buds now haha! Excellent video David, thanks for your work & passion!🙏🏻
Thanks for sharing David. A privilege to see content like this and as always highly appreciative. Enjoy the ride David. Hoping to see it here in Australia soon.
Bit of a watch nerd here .... Thanks for taking us along for the ride there David. DC is my favorite Bond, & the NTTD watch is the best-looking version of the Seamaster. The film, of course, is superb ..... it, along with Daniel Craig, is going to be a very hard act to follow.
Loved the video. That little black leather pouch was actually a credit card holder! It replaces a wallet of course cashless or minimal cash. It goes in your front pocket. Keep up the great work!!! So jealous!!! 😁 Also a long time Omega owner!
I have to admire Daniel Craigs professionalism with these appearances he makes to promote not just the film but everything else surrounding it. A true gentleman. He has done many of these and yet he still retains enthusiasm for it all. Also David, the effort you put into your videos is brilliant. I look forward to seeing more and seeing what the future holds for the Bond series and your channel 🙂
@@TomWright91 after Casino Royale there were rumors that Omega was upset since Craig was seen at public events wearing Rolex watches. In the watch collecting community he is known to be “one of us”
Great video! Omega certainly knows how to wine and dine their guests😊. I was happy to see my son enjoying himself at the event. You two are quite a pair!
Is that Steven Pulvirent MCing the pre-movie event? Certainly looks like him. Looks like an excellent experience, happy for you that you got to participate David. Thank you for sharing it with us
What is amazing about these conversations you are having with Craig is that it is very clear that he actually loves and treasures the intricate details of the Bond style - and everything it means- every bit as much as much as you do!!
Excellent video again - thanks for bringing us such amazing content! I'm a big Omega fan too, and great to see them hosting events like this so enthusiastically. It may all just be PR, but the way they treat their customers sets them far apart from some of their rival brands. Who is the woman with you in the still photo at 21:50? Beautiful!
I ordered the Omega NTTD back in my home country but currently I am on an exchange semester so I cant hold it in my hands, but this watch is something special. I always knew a bond omega will be my first luxury watch as Pierce Brosnans Omega made me fall in love with watches in the first place. Your video helped in my decision thank you!
Based on your channel and enthusiasm for the Bond brand, the studio should consider you for an extra part in the next Bond film. BTW your Bond collection is worthy of a museum. Keep the great material coming sir.
" we spoke a couple of days ago, David from Bond experience.." Daniel Craig couldn't even remember lol. Just goes to show how busy and hectic Craig's life must be atm to not remember David speaking with him. Great video tho
@@benoakes01 being polite I think slightly nodding. But in general if he remembered he'd say something along the lines of " oh yeah! hey, how are you " Just politey nodded a bit then answered the question. He's a busy man to be fair.
Dear David you were great as usual. Nice event by Omega. But i still think that James Bond should wear a Rolex as Ian Fleming wrote in his novels. The Rolex Submariner ref. 6538 "Big Crown" remains for me the "original" James Bond's watch. Anyway, this event was indeed a nice experience
Bond using his watch as a physical weapon would have been a great moment in Casino Royale, I mean, what's smashing up a few Omega's compared to rolling an Aston Martin 😶
@@Fliseck yes, I was going to say that Daniel Craig must have forgotten that the scene where he puts his Omega watch on his fist like a pair of brass knuckles and punches a guy in the face was in the movie. It is brief and you probably have to pause it to really see it.
It's just too much to pay over the price of a standard seamaster but prices are now falling quickly on the grey market so may still pick one up as it's his last Bond movie. This looks like a great experience however and an incredible episode - thank you
Is everything paid for with these things? When I bought my Seamaster, they put me on a list to be invited to James Bond events… but unfortunately I received nothing about this.
Yes, marketing goes a long way... product placement, franchise... Omega watches were introduced in BOnd movies in 1995 by 'genius' businessman Jean-Claude Biver. Rolex never paid the creators of the James Bond films for product placement and actually did little to take advantage of their status as such...
Great video and question you posed to Mr Craig. I wonder what Raynald Aeschlimann’s thoughts were on any revenue impact the controversial ending of the movie may have on that Omega model…I’m a big Omega fan (among other watch brands) and have a couple other Bond models - but I lack the enthusiasm to “buy the watch of a dead man”. Also, saw that you met Christian Zeron of “Theo & Harris” a great vintage watch dealer and brand agency. I hope you consider some collaborative work with him and his firm…
Any comment that after 6 weeks in the UK its out on Prime and Sky next week, the same as the US, SIX WEEKS, it's usually 6 Months, wait for the next film to come straight onto Prime for £20. As for Omega I have it, but that's be honest it's a total rip-off, double the price of a normal Seamaster, its the Bond link that is selling it, spoke to my mate at Omega in Burlington Arcade, it's the biggest selling Bond watch ever (as it not limited edition) for me I would never have paid face value.
Its quite possible imo. Its all about who can strike the better deal in the future. Plus it may just become repetitive Bond wearing the same brand....its anyone's guess.
