I honestly find it highly disturbing that the defendant's ex-boyfriend ended up living with her elderly neighbor, engaged in what she describes as a "romantic" relationship, but he also has his own room and she couldn't really articulate how their romance started. He's quite obviously taking advantage of her loneliness for his own benefit. I'd bet my entire paycheck he doesn't have a job and doesn't pay rent. He probably picked that neighbor specifically for her proximity to the defendant, and if the defendant has truly dealt with abuse, she needs to be careful, because this behavior hinges on stalkerish. When the plaintiff said, "She gets a good view of Don's exercise equipment," the judge looked right at that slimeball because A. she knows that a lot of what the plaintiff believes is probably being fed from him and B. what could they both possibly see in him? I hope both these women run, don't walk, away from this man before he seriously hurts them and/or takes them for all they're worth.
