Baron! The flashing is because of your mounts special ability, when it makes a noise its activated. It buffs your workers speed I believe. Give money to your banker every day as that will accrue interest each day, he's the guy hanging around the main camp. Useful for when something bad happens you can make a withdrawal. I know it's way to late probably for you to hear this, but chase deer into your camp, and if they run from the archers run it back to them by getting past it. Deer give you a lot of gold for a bit of your time to run them to your hunters. It helps a lot in the early game after exploring for chests.
I know I'm late but the flash that your subjects get is a buff they get because of your mount. It gives them +1 resilience. It means that your subjects will take another swipe from the greed before they will get knocked out. This is a great mount if your escorting your subjects towards the kingdom when the greeds are right behind your tail.
The warhorse ability is to give durability of your soldiers don't use often your abilities your warhorse get easliy tired. Best mount is griffin and lizard
Baron tip Camps respawn peasants each day for only two people no stacking Gold coins come from rabbits which only spawn from field shrubbery, deers only on forested areas even if its in your territory, sometimes trees when u cut them, and fish which can only be caught by the pikeman
