6 seconds ago, LET'S GO! Edit: Just finished the video, your content is awesome for new players, I've not bothered with Ice Mountain because it seemed to much but your video really broke down the main components and I'm going to go play it now. Thank you bro :)
I made a f2p uim for steam achievements and like 12hours after dragon slayer they dropped ice mountain :) base40s with the mace, no smithing required baby
The main benefit of the golems, at least mind and body golems, is the runecrafting cores. While it's pretty slow to actually get the cores once you do have a good stockpile they'll really reduce the amount of trips to altars you need to make. You'll also be training combat while fighting golems, get some good smithing xp through their ore drop, and gems up to ruby are common drops on the body golems for crafting and money. Its a nice place to go to take a break from moss giants or orgresses.
I think you got really lucky with the 11 handles! Okay, im actually an f2p uim, so i only have access to the small net, but that particular one took me like 2 hours! Got the guard on my 2nd kill though.
I really like how this is not some insane stuff you need to grind for 15 hours everyday to do or require some crazy skills. Settled or Solomission's vids are nice in that I can't ever imagine doing what they do and they do awesome stuff, but videos like yours and J1mmy's are just as satisfying to watch because I actually feel like I can do this some day while it's just as entertaining. No disrespect intended, I love your videos.
It took me almost two hours to get my one and only handle from fishing. Meanwhile I got the head from mining on my second inventory.. and I got two of them on that invo.
for the people struggling farming the golems, i suspect that there might be a glitch. i never opened my collection log and i was farming for like 2 days. then i opened it and 3 golems later i got it. as if the game did not recognize that the golems drop the item until you open your collection log. i also used the buffs
BROOOOO you're a life saver! I got every piece within 2 hours on Friday night. It is now Monday night and I started thinking I did something wrong. I did the math on how much xp I got and I killed over 2,000 chaos golems.. I opened my collection log for the first time after seeing your comment and the next golem dropped the gaurd... I owe you a mil lol send me a friend request @chunkylegs lol
Not a bad update for all irons. Tbh the cores are great for low levels to get you 30 RC to complete what lies below. Took bout 70 cores for 25-30 RC LOL.
I spent 2 or 3 weeks getting everything for the mace. 693 flawed golem dead before I got the guard. I'm a member but I just thought it was super cool and so was the hammer. it's also a pretty damn good weapon for where I'm at at the game and love using it on hill giants.
You can safe spot the golem boss for the Below Ice Mountain quest. You will still probably get hit running between the pillars, but it lets you mine the pillar in peace. It would of saved you on the last pillar especially.
I'm not sure it would actually help f2p that much. Main use for hammer is smithing and the fastest way to do that is to make plates. Giving us an extra slot isn't going to make a difference because we'd still be limited to making 5 plates per inventory. The UIMs might find it useful and it might have a use for regs at specific levels for specific equipment, but otherwise I'm not sure it would help.
@@graasroot1472 The mace and hammer are separate. The mace is the anti-golem weapon that you have to put together, and it is f2p. The hammer is an equipable hammer and is p2p.
@@burnyoureyes1 you are 100% right f2p players dont really have a use for an equip-able hammer, however the amount of unique items f2p players have access to is quite limited. the only other items besides quest items is really the skull sceptre and giants club. not everything has to be useful or 100% max efficiency, otherwise you really wouldnt be spending time in the new area at all. for some people just having an other cool unique to add to their collection, fashionscape or role play items is enough reason.
I mined barronite until getting all the artefacts for the collection log. Had 4 or 5 mace heads at that point. Got the handle halfway through first invy of fish and the mace’s guard after 50 or so Chaos golems.
Got the Barronite Head and the Imcando Hammer in one invent of Barronite Deposits. Took 4-5 invents of fishing to get the Handle. Finally, it took 20ish Chaos Golems for the Guard.
@@jacob6668I know this was commented 2 years ago but yes, the higher level golems have a better drop rate for the guard. You probably already know this though.
That mace is actually maybe better than you think. It’s a crush weapon, and full rune is slightly weaker to crush. Scimitar is still better because of the higher max hit, but it’s close.
i think is more common the barronite handle on low lvls, i was there like 3 hours with +55 fishing level and didnt fish a single one, it took like 4 hours for one to drop
I find it funny people talking about rarity of the 'barronite guard', I've been killing Body Golems for a while on my F2p Ironman and have ~20 of those.
Been trying to get the mace today. I got the head within 2 inventories, and the handle within 4 inventories. But the guard is killing me. I was able to get my STR and DEF to lvl 40 and still haven't gotten it. So been at it most the day and no luck thus far. But I guess I got my luck with the other two. Hopefully I get it tomorrow
I got the mace on my hcim and it took me 1200 flawed golems with no drop, went to mind golems killed 1300 and got it. I was there from 20 cmb to 52. Also you shouldve got luck before fishing considering you werent fishing haha.
@@jawstrock2215 I'm a non ironman scrub so I suppose it might be worth it for ironmen lol. In saying that I do have 80 attack and 75 strength after my account got hacked by bots and I got unbanned.
This is kind of cool as an update but more of a one and done thing. I doubt 99% of players will even touch this. Honestly jagex is not doing nearly enough on far more critical matters like highly advanced bot farms, lack of pvp updates, and late mid game updates ( vast majority of p2p is late mid game accounts). I recently cancelled my membership.
That happened (happens) with all dead and (dying) games. The playerbase shifts and turns into high lvl only, with few new or mid lvl players. Most mid lvl players I bet are alts too. I have 3 alts.
Elegy is literally just a little bitch because jagex made an update which he thinks devalues his life, which already has no value because of the amount of time he's spent on a f2p uim lmao
Yeah he made terrathrone wanting to play the osrs experience mostly as it was, and like 6 months after his 1300 hour rune scim grind they release rune wep updates and new alternative exp rates and mace
