The lesson from his startup story suggest that one shouldn't wait for abundance of anything before starting a business. Start with what you have first. He's really experienced in this business. Selling off at 4 weeks is great but I think one would make money from selling when Danica would just come and buy and fry for her guests straight than selling at 5 weeks lol
Selling at 4 weeks is more profitable. He sells to farmers who grow them into full maturity. So he's more like a turkey seed producer, he can get an order of 5,000 at once on a regular basis but that won't be so if he raises to full maturity and selling just matured ones. Diversification is key, besides it costs more to raise them into full size.. In livestock farming, you either raise the animal from birth to a young age to be resold to other farmers or you raise from young age to maturity, or from birth to maturity..
Danica Kosy sounds more like a girl name but this guy is doing a good job telling us about turkey farming best practice okay Danica is hosting Olama farms
Imagine given constant electricty to this man, it will save time and energy, .. he need to build a control room where he can monitor the room temperature in real time over his phone... ...
Very great and inspiring story Danica for the fact that he started in his room same room is slept gosh that’s really inspiring thanks a lot Danica for this wonderful story ❤
I remember when one of our chicken in the poultry came blind and we had to care for it. It was not easy at first the chicken improved fast and know when other are eating and join. Very aggressive in eating once it locate the feed as other would have started eat one or two minutes before him. Grew to become very big before being sold. The secret to keeping disease away is to add 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide to their water for drinking and spray the hydrogen water in the farm too. It kills bacteria and fungi. Add a teaspoon of it in their water of 3 litres
Though a belated one, but still worth it to say happy mother's day to you. I really missed your channel this past month because I was in Nigeria where power supply is insufficient. Despite the power deficit I still enjoyed myself because there is no place like home. I must admit your videos make somebody get his eyes glued on his TV without missing a bit of it. I just came back from home and first thing I looked for was your notifications. Happy mother's day once again
How much can I say. This is brilliant. Thank you Danica Kosy. I love your video. I wish all these beautiful stories of African entrepreneurs are documented in a book. Africans are really working hard. Kudos to you and your team. Subscribed!
How do I have contact with this man. Your job as a vloger is not complete, you should have give the turkey farmer phone number or any form of contact. Because I don't see any form of contact.
