I can't watch Bad Buddy and Heartstopper without shedding a tear

as someone who is editing a lot of the episodes for you this show actually surprised me 🤭

Bad Buddy was such a phenomenal show, I am glad to hear you are enjoying it. In terms of recommendations I highly suggest : Not Me- a phenomenal romance of enemies to lovers, but with a very interesting narrative and focus on the politics within Thailand (as the story follows a radical political activist group), which I found really interesting as it's not really talked about in a lot of shows *this is my personal favourite, and I have literally watched them all, I cannot recommend it enough* I Told Sunset About You- this one is very short (only 5 episodes) and is heartbreakingly crushing at moments, I can't really describe it other than to say that it's two boys trying to come to terms with their feelings for one another, and if this show had been made in English it would have won SO many awards, like oscar level awards and acting, but again it crushed my soul and made me cry a lot KinnPorsche- Mafia boss and his bodyguard, genuinely such a good show, the chemistry of all of the leads were phenomenal Until We Meet Again, SOTUS, He Is Coming to Me, Moonlight Chicken, My School President, and The Eclipse are also excellent

YAYA!! to be honest i used cringe from the sound effects 😭 this was second ever thai show and now looking back all these little quirks and differences from the shows that i normally watch is what made me love and enjoy it so much 🤍🤍

Bad buddy is one of the best if not THE best bl series i have seen so far. The chemistry these two have is really fresh and they kept it very real. Not too deep plot but stays at top as the best thai series for so many of us. Love ❤💚

So glad you're reacting to this show! I've watched a lot of Thai queer dramas in the past few months, and this is in my top 3 with Moonlight Chicken (same director) and 3 Will Be Free. Another recommendation would be A Tale of Thousand Stars (again, same director), because after both shows were done, there were four Bad Buddy/1000 stars crossover episodes!

I suggest you try The Gifted (2018) and its sequel The Gifted: Graduation. Nanon, the actor who plays Pran, also stars in this series.

OMGGG IM SO GLAD U ARE REACTING TO THIS, Nanon and Ohm are such great actors and they this justice to their characters no matter what it is. They have one of the healthiest relationship in terms of thai BLs i've watched, so it's really worth the watch 💗💗💗 My top one in GMMTV BL series tho would be A TALE OF THOUSAND STARS, Ghad that series is one of the best! you should try it!

My favorite Thai BL is My School President) it's so wholesome and cute and funny. And the chemistry is everything! Btw, actors from My School President appeared in Bad Buddy too) I highly recommend it to you. These series is just becoming more and more interesting with each episode. And the music in MSP is amazing! Idk, it's just a show that cures my depression.

next one i recommend is The Eclipse, starring First, one of my faves after Ohm (Pat). Or if you want more Ohm, The Shipper, or He's Coming to Me. Or if you want more fluffy Bad Buddy vibes, My School President

Hey look! It's the newest member of the Skam to Thai BL pipeline! I got into Thai bls 7yrs ago so I forget how jarring the sound effects and product placement are for new viewers. For other Thai shows I would recommend: A tale of 1000 stars: About a spoiled rich boy who gets a second chance at life and decides to turn his life around. By the same director as Bad Buddy. Moonlight Chicken: About a poor Restaurant owner struggling to raise his teenage nephew and make ends meet, when one day a stranger shows up at his restaurant.... Also by the same director as Bad Buddy (Honestly every aspect of this show is a 10/10 in my book, and is tied for my favorite show of the year) My School President: About a boy in his senior year of high school and his rock band as they practice to enter, and hopefully win, the biggest band competition of the year for high school rock bands. Directed by the assistant director of Baddy buddy. (honestly no explanation I give can due this show justice. Nobody thought it would good, and it ended up being super incredible. I've never seem anyone who dislikes this show. My other favorite show or the year) My Only 12%: What if instead of growing up next door with families who hated each other, Pat and Pran grew up with families who were best friends!? The parallel story to bad buddy, by the same author as bad buddy. (This show is super underrated, but deserves way more hype)

Ohm who plays Pat did his very first BL when he was 15years old and he'd never acted prior to that. His debut was the series 'Make it Right' series which has 2 seasons and came out in 2016. However this was Nannon (Prans') first BL Series but they'd both acted in 'Black List'. They had been waiting for years to act together in another series together. Ohm is 23years old now so he's been acting now for 8 years I think about the same amount of years and Nannon. Nannon (Pran) will be 23 in December and he started acting in 2014. So both were child actors.

100% recommend " theory of love " for the acting and drama I just think those two things are great reasons to react to that show specifically and for more cute and wholesome " tales of a thousand stars" but bad buddy is a perfect start !

If we're talking about thai queer series, or even just queer themed entertainment in general, i would say the best one out there is "I Told Sunset About You" (ITSAY), i can guarantee almost all of the watchers agree that it was the most cinematic, dramatic, tear-jerker, relatable thai series ever. They portrait a very real story that many queer people experience. The writer also picked and inspired by real life story & personalities of the actors themselves. It was shot like a movie, from the cinematography, original score, acting, etc. 10/10. ITSAY won more than 20 including Seoul International Drama Award in 2021. Billkin also won Best Actor for 2 consecutive years for his work as the main character of this series. You will probably get it once you watch the trailer.

in real life the main 2 actors were already friends for 5 years prior to the show making the chemistry amazing. 🥰❤

My favorite Thai BL is Until We Meet Again, which is amazing, but also very heavy. People mentioned My School President and Tale of 1000 Stars as good ones. I agree. Other good ones include Not Me, The Eclipse, and a show currently airing called Only Friends. I liked your reaction! It must be weird just jumping into Thai BL. They definitely have their own aesthetic. Ohm and Nanon, who play the title characters, are very good friends in real life. In fact, the way things work in Thailand is that there are production companies that sign actors and then use them over and over. GMMTV is the biggest one in Thailand. Ohm and Nanon are both with that company, so they've known each other for years. That's also why if you start to watch more series, you'll notice the same actors over and over.

I would also recommend Cutie Pie, Moonlight Chicken, KinnPorche, Lovely Writer, A Tale of 1000 Stars, and Love Mechanics (2022). The one that's currently airing (on RU-vid) I would recommend is "Only Friends"

This was such a good show, ohm and nannnon are so cute together. Some of my favorites that i recommend are Dangerous Romance which is still airing, Sotus which is a classic, and the Eclipses which was already mentioned

If you like drama you should check Dangerous Romance out. It’s a love story between a school bully and the top student he bullied, starts off very intense and dramatic with lots of plot twists. The acting is on point and their chemistry is off-charts. It’s really fun to watch.

Not Me is a fantastic show. Be My Favourite is melocoly but very sweet.. Until We Meet Again is heartbreaking but also a fantastic series.

I grew up in the US but have lived in Greece for a long time. The contrast in sporting culture is significant, with the fan clubs and hooliganism and so on. Only last week a football (soccer fan) was stabbed to death during a brawl between two rival fan clubs. But here and in Bad Buddy, the sports are not the point, they are just an excuse...

All of P’Aofs( director- cameo as pharmacy guy on counter) series is good, Bad buddy, A tale of a thousand stars; Moonlight chicken. as someone from southeast asia, the hatred between ark and eng uni students seems accurate and giving the finger is disrecpectful even just with a wrong stare someone could start a brawl

This was the least show I expected to see😂 Like Thai BL are still kinda niche So I am happy it is starting to get more recogniced Some show I do recommend: Not Me(already mentioned) A tale of 1000 stars(already mentioned) Moonlight chicken (mentioned) The Eclipse(personal fave and it has some flaws but it has very good acting) The Warp Effect and Only Friends a lot more spicy than the rest Home School and there are a lot more both BL and not BLs from Thailand that are very good shows it's a whole new world

I would love you to see Not Me, it is a Thai BL with OffGun as the main couple, it is one of my favourites as well as Moonlight Chicken or The Eclipse. Not Me is about twins, one gets injured and the other pretends to be them to find out who hurt his twin, now having to be part of a gang, who wants to expose the Government. But he realises he doesn't know his twin brother as well as he thought. (OffGun) Moonlight Chicken is about a chicken rice diner owner and a guy he has a one night stand with, who wants a relationship with the owner. (EarthMix, KhaoFirst & GeminiForth) The Eclipse is about a strictly governed all-boys school that is said to 'curse' anyone who tries to go against the school rules, Ayan is a new student and wants to uncover the truth behind this 'curse' and Akk is the Student Prefect, who has to keep the students in line, focusing on the new student Ayan. (KhaoFirst & NeoLouis)

That actor who plays Pat does play both drums and a Traditional Thai instrument which he plays in the series.

Bad Buddy was one of those shows where they were really able to communicate well with each other and not let miscommunications get big, they seemed to resolve things well because they talked things out I know it is not Thai, but another enemy to lover show I think is great is the Korean show Semantic Error

I got into thai BLs, Korean, Taiwanese and Japanese BLs two years ago and never looked back. I highly recommend Chinese Bls/bromance though, like Stay with me, The Untamed, Word of honor They are the best.

If you’re interested in a non-bl thai series, I recommend would be The Gifted and The Gifted Graduation( the actor playing as Pran is starring in that series and he’s amazing there too) which received attention and awards when it aired years ago. You should Definitely try it out.

nah... but territorial fights between kids do be real sometimes, because kids aren't really allowed to play in most places. There was a boy who once got so angry, that he threw a rock at my friend. She broke her head, but thankfully she was taken to the hospital and it wasn't a major injury, and the boy was expelled. All of this just because my friend group caught a play area that he and his friends were aiming for first.

they have two special episodes on a program made by their company called "our skyy 2", but it is kind of a collab with another bl called "a tale of 1000 stars" (which I also recommend). this program is basically side stories of the characters from the dramas we already know (e.g. bad buddy), they don't add anything too special.
