For that price... i would take a bus 30mins into JB and check into a 5 star hotel for THREE nights including ALL meals, daily massages .... and still hv change leftover
Perkeja yang malas.hotel harga yang sangat mahal suasana tak menarik. Sungguh memalukan buang duit. Lebih baik ke pulau perhentian atau pun ke pulau pinang hotel lebih murah lebih cantik lebih berbaloi🤭 mungkin tuan hotel kedekut gaji rendah perkeja hotel buat kerja cincai😅
Agree. I think I can accept most of the faults at that place but the trash is a total dealbreaker. It's like the cleaners (if they even have any) basically just swept everything 'out of sight' every time and called it cleaning
I think, in the past when there was a bus that goes to the various farms and nature reserve (Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve along Neo Tiew Crescent and Kranji Way), and stops/pickup at Kranji MRT, this hotel may have seen more business for locals and visitors who wish to see, taste and hear the green side of Singapore. Unfortunately the bus service stopped some time ago, and getting to this area will mean u need transport. It's too far (more than 3km) to even walk from Sg Buloh Wetland Reserve Visitor Centre near Kranji Way (there's a bus there that goes to Kranji MRT or Choa Chu Kang MRT). Perhaps those with a car and wish to experience the countryside of Singapore, or like to visit the Sg Buloh mangroves (7am-7pm) early or late will find this hotel useful. Anyway, thanks for making this video! I never knew there was a hotel there!
Yes nice food. But very rude lady owner. I was there years back and asked her if they have baby chairs. She replied no, take care of your own baby. I didn’t even ask her to babysit. This reply is so uncalled for. I never went back.
A nice and lively review, you are always so energetic in front of the camera. As a Singaporean, I do not know such a hotel exist, it looks more like a chalet. The hotel is a bit isolated but it a great place to get away from the city. You speak good english and it seems you have integrated with our singlish culture when you said "good leh".😊😊
Waa tq for reviewing this hotel. Been eyeing this hotel for some times. The concept is really nice. But for the price and cleanliness I rather go jb or batam for a resort feel..
actually not bad. i like the bath tub that you'll feel connected to the outdoors. very farmhouse style. definitely a peaceful side of Singapore. they just really need to maintain the cleanliness. also the prices of hotels here are very ex.. sad life here is already stressful enough and most of us can't even do a simple staycation.
Looking at the conclusion part of this vid, it seems like the moral lesson of going for the overnight stay there was to learn to be thankful 😂. I can feel your happiness coming back to home lol
Thanks for this eye opening video. I know there is a hotel at Kranji farm area but didn’t know how it’s really like. This place was probably popular during covid… 😅
Ghib San, you are hilarious, really enjoyed your videos. Even your wifey is taking after your humour. I had a good laugh. Look forward to your videos. 😂🤣😆😁😃
This place has real potential. I like that it's remote and out of the way, and that there are hardly any people, and walking distance to the farm and wetlands etc. However there are clear areas for improvement with the hygiene being the most obvious. For that price, this is really unacceptable. Hopefully your review spurs them on to better things.
Was there back kn 2017 before they change management. Paid SGD 10 plus for a plate of fried Maggi mee with sausages and a sunny side at the pub which is the sole F&B establishment there. The karaoke at the pub blast until 3am. Cannot even have a proper rest.
Good say, Ghib. "Trying hard to find good things in life is important. People who try to find good things are positive people." I totally agree, man. If one is not positive or hardworking enough to find good things in life, I wonder how happy that person's life can be.
@@glennchua9043can take shuttle bus to Bollywood farms the walk there also if its just a light backpack. Shuttle bus I think provided by WTS for $5 the last time I went (around 1 year ago)
I think the price is cause of the private facilities and room size. If you compare with conrad, you'll probably get maybe a quarter of this size and no private bbq pit, sauna, etc. Agree that the facilities needs to be upgraded and maintained better though. Bollywood farms is actually quite popular, it would be packed during holidays and weekends, been there a few times for their nasi lemak and banana cake.
Thank you for the warning. The whole place is nice and calm, but I think it’s only meant for brave and adventurous people. I prefer hotels with room service. My next staycation already booked for September, at Siloso Beach Resort 😊
NEA seriously should do their rounds here first. My former company once did their company end-year get-together there in 2017. I'm glad that I opted out from spending 1 night there. 1 day of "fun-filled 🙄" programmes was enough.
I used to have staycation there often before the management change. it was much cheaper (it used to be half the price). The place used to be clean and well taken care of.
I remember going there one late afternoon to see what food were there at the food stalls near that resort and it was quite busy with like satay stalls. I feel Covid made a lot of stalls closed down sadly
Hi Ghib,, wah you survive hehe, that kind of place is good for people that wanna do party i guess,, and people that like nature,,, not for me i hate mosquito 😂,, anyway thank you for the vlog, Huat Ah 👍😬お酒 まだあるよ、
Hey man, love your vids, and btw you can actually eat the banana Flower...In Thailand, they fry them up and they're insanely delicious. I'm sure SG or Malaysia have some awesome recipes too. Give it a try and let us know-banana peels ain't got nothing on this! Keep them vids coming bro!!!
I went there, You can feed Kois, A LOT of food for cheap and the Birdnest measuem was nice, the stuff quite good too, Overall is good for a day visit, For overnight go to Malysia
You don't say which hotel I already know where is this place is Kranji Farm Resort, I thought of trying to stay there since you show their hotel cleanse I have 2nd thought of it.
Why the shower window on top is transparent glass still can climb, different than common sense? What will be the future plan as have carpark can park in? That amount is what kind of gain in life, is this a business spot? Create TukTuk? Add boat rental to fish at sea? Horse feeding job is near or not(if really closed can't be all horses gone)?
the money can use for better go eat luxury buffet 2 pax still got money left to cab home LOL sadly, it's really not worth the money sia. thanks Ghib for bringing us on a journey to explore
I don't mind stay at that hotel due to many other factors like the special places with nature I can go. Places with nature quiet can hv self discovery quicker. Can wind down and irritable emotions can be erased. Away from Singapore, Sentosa also offer very quiet places to stay but more "dolled up".Not sure any organisation hv bought over for revamp. Hopefully many locals can go to enjoy it
Your apartment is much much nicer than the hotel. Lol. I like to go Kranji for a day trip, e.g. to Hay Diaries or Bollywood, but can never imagine staying overnight there..
Puzzling, doesn’t the owner of the hotel occasionally check on the condition of the rooms of his/ her hotel (even if he’s/she’s residing abroad)? The trash under the bed and condition of the torn curtains, moldy cable of hairdryer, stained room slippers etc etc are unimaginable and inexcusable especially for that price.
as a local, we cycled to the BW restaurant for breakfast. Have fun. As a local, I also won't stay there. we can also take the MRT to the park, walk a bit, and reach there. I would rather spend the 400+ to have a good family meal and return home to sleep. LOL
338 a steal man you have got yourself a bungalow hotel suite this is better than staying in 5 star boring hotels like mbs or resort world all in one cool many good 👍 place in kranji resort. To be honest it looks like a luxuary villa with adventurous places to be discovered🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I often buy the avocado milk shake from Wei Yong's wife stall 2 years back when I was still working in the town. Unfortunately I have shifted my work location. I still miss the drink until now
I like hotels in the middle of nowhere .. as i am also a car guy. At least now i know i can drive 40 mins to somewhere in Singapore 😃. I dont mind the open/non gated back yard. Its like Canada in the countryside. Plus, hotels with bbqs in Singapore 👍. As for the sheets... if i was a local, id bring my own sheets. Wished these were also rental possible .... driveway, back yard, bbq pits 😍.... better than condos apts and HDB blocks for Singapore.
We went there previously to attend furkids birthday parties (swimming pools for dogs) a few years ago. There were many people and dogs, and there were food stalls opened. We saw chalets there but never stay in one.
You are so Singaporean Ghib! Yes we try Grab, Gojek, Ryde and Comfort to see which is the cheapest ride! 😅 . That hotel, I will definitely not go stay!! Not even if you pay me!! 😂
This not actually called a Hotel...it's more like so called resort stay to get away from Spore urbanization....the locals called it a chalet....there're some food stall there...its just not convenient to get public transport from here...most;y the local go there by their own mode of transports....at night can be very quite & a bit eerie....
Ghib san, thanks for filming and sharing this interesting video, I would never know there is such an unique hotel/resort in Singapore, @ Kranji. Personally, I feel the price is okay if the room and resort area is nicely maintained and kept clean for hotel guests. It will be a gem to us, enjoy a getaway without much traveling . The resort management can do a lot to make this special sanctuary workout and bring in more guests. 1. Provide some bicycles for guests to move and explore the area. (This option don't cost much to the hotel but solve the difficulties for guests without car. Not mention the fun of cycling around with your love ones) 2. Lease out a space for cafeteria / bar / foodservice stall (if the hotel keep the rent low, there will business partner coming in, this helps to bring in crowds as well, no more eerie vibes and survival needs. 3. Convert a resort unit to a handcrafted/hobbies outlet. (There are many freelancers in Singapore , partner with them, create some activities /classes / handmade merchandises, create awareness and more guests will come. This is really a low cost to hotel management, why keep so many units without much guest coming right. 4. Partner with freelance drivers to provides some sightseeing/tour arrangements in Singapore / Sentosa etc for hotel guests. Something like what Klook platform provides, a low cost to the hotel as well. Hope this hotel can revamp and survive then ;) There is just so much interesting ideas, really loved loved the Crazy Nature adventure , Raptor Tower ~ beautiful !!
When a hotel doesn’t even want to spend money on basic cleaning to maintain the hygiene of the room, do u think they will even bother doing all these that u mention? 😂
I think the resort was so nice at one time ..when it just operated but maybe because of its isolated location made it unpopular ...its abit scary too at night
Singapore boys get to stay in SAF hotel near Kranji in ... you guessed it, Kranji Camp, for free!! Comes with free food and free security (need to do guard duty on rotation). lol
Looking at hygiene level, I have doubts did they even clean change the bedsheets or the towel after the previous guests check out. Or just put everything back nicely.
