When i was young it was Go go go! As I get older I let my kids and grandkids go go go while I just take a little more time soaking up the Ambience. A year and a half ago we stayed at the Disneyland hotel and I thought "I am paying for this hotel so I am going to ENJOY it!"

We used to go, go, go until my kids said, “Do we HAVE to go to Disney today?” That is when I decided it is quite beneficial to have a resort day. We love Caribbean Beach! The only downside is that the Skyliner starts up at 4am

The skyliner is a huge benefit to staying in this area. Way faster than busses. And the monorail goes to EPCOT, so you can leverage the skyliner and monorail and never need to ride a bus except for Animal Kingdom

The menu was $38 for adults and $20 for kids. I don’t know why they leave the $ off-it makes it confusing.

Stayed there in December 2022. Enjoyed it. We had a preferred room in Martinique. First stop for the bus was great! Close to the shops as well. Worth the extra price IMO.

My family stayed there when I was 12, I'm almost 40 and it's still one of my all-time favorite hotels and experiences. When I was visiting the parks 8 years ago, I was with a friend at a different hotel but I still when over to the Carribean Resort to check it out and enjoy the memories. As kids, we thought the playground on the island was THE coolest. We also stayed in Jamaica. It's actually a pretty quick walk over to the lobby from Jamaica and that was before they had the sky-liner. So I would definitely recommend staying in that building. That big pool with the fort and slides was also SO much FUN as kids!! Seriously, I can't speak highly enough of that place. So fun. So relaxing. So beautiful :) Thanks for taking so much time to walk all over and really let the nostalgia flow for me!!! Thank you Chris!!!!!!!!! OH! We always saved a day just to be at the resort. I could seriously spend a week there on top of a week at the parks.

When we go to Disneyland, our family likes to have one rest day in the middle and one on the last day. Having time to pack up and relax the day before we go has made us feel way less rushed.

We learned early on with young kids that we have to have a resort day, or a “down” day. Now we stay longer and we go to the parks every other day (we are now DVC and stay 10 nights)

I’m always on the go- the only time I take a break is when my body’s about to give up and that’s when it’s time to relax in the Mickey theatre and watch the old cartoons 😅

We honeymooned at the Caribbean resort and stayed at Trinidad. Such a gorgeous resort. That was 28 yrs ago. I'm the go go go person. My husband is more the let's take our time. It's sometimes a hard compromise. The baby in me doesn't wanna miss anything.😅😊

When I was a kid we lived in California so we never stayed in the hotels. Once I grew up and had my own family when the kids were young it was go go go , once they grew into teens then wed take a day or two to relax in the hotel. Of course once I had the family we did not live in California anymore so we got the whole hotel experience. Still love those puns. Those inspirational messages are very uplifting thank you and your family for all the joy you bring.

We always save days to relax at hotel and local shopping and eatery when we visit Orlando. There is so much more to do in Orlando than just Disney .

The first time I brought the family to Florida we stayed at Boardwalk, did 5 days in the parks and 2 days at the waterparks. The second week we spent off property but spent most of our time playing mini golf and other attractions around Disney world

I enjoyed this! I love resort walks. Having never been to CBR I had no idea what it was like. What a wonderful place to stroll in the afternoon. We always spend the morning in a park, the resort in the afternoon, and usually a different park in the evening. Thanks for the tour, Chris. CBR just made my bucket list!

Thanks for another great video! We honeymooned there in 1994. We however don’t remember the resort being so big. When we visit Disney World we are at the parks all the time and rarely take time for relaxing at the resort. We go go go!

Was our first resort we stayed at in 1989. Back then 79 dollars was a moderate resort with water sprites to ride it was special

We’ve stayed there twice and we love it!! We stayed in the Aruba area last year for my Dopey Challenge races! We had a room right by the Skyliner and a bus stop. It was awesome!

We always try to have what we call a "rest day" to spend time at the pool and resort. We stayed at Caribbean Beach in the Trinidad rooms just before they renovated the pirate rooms. So glad we got to do that. Spyglass grill was awesome for a quick breakfast and the Skyliner is so convenient. It also gets you over to the Riviera super fast if you want to eat and explore there. I think the old pirate rooms are now Mermaid themed, but I might be wrong.

My husband and I stayed at the Port Orleans French Quarter in 2017. That is the first time we stayed on property at WDW. It was so great, worth every penny. Transportation was effortless. It would have been nice to have a “down” day at the hotel but we had a tight schedule. We did take the boat to its sister property Riverside and on to Epcot. If we are fortunate to go again I think will need to schedule a day to enjoy the hotel.

That resort used to be bigger. There were 5 sections not 3. They took 2 away to add the DVC building and the gondolas. You used to be able to take water sprites on the lake there were live tropical birds in cages throughout the walkways.

Love Caribbean - we’ve stayed there a few times, in Trinidad, Aruba and Martinique. We even had a pirate room once! Love the pools, the colors, scenery, the scent in the lobby, everything!

18:05 a good point. My family stayed at the Disneyland Hotel once because there was a good deal for cast members. We didn't stay that long, but we wanted to spend all our days in DL and DCA. Our stay was in February, and it was way too cold for us to go in the pool, but it did make us feel like we should stay there again in the summer just so we can use the pool. We probably should have a break day between park visits.

We stay at CB usually when we go. Last time we stayed Skyline had only been open a few months in 2020 (yes we went during Covid) and were in Jamaica. Literally two minute walk to the Skyliner. Bonus Joffereys on the ramp up.

We paid for our parents to go to Disney years ago and put them up at Caribbean Beach. My Dad has always said that he hated the resort because it was too big. I stayed there in 2015, while it was under construction. I hated it! It was too big, there were few dining options because of the construction, I didn't like having to take a bus to get to the "good pool." Of course, the skyliner wasn't built then, so that may have made a difference. The rooms were lovely, but I'll never stay there again. For a moderate, I like the French Quarter, but I prefer to rent DVC points for the Boardwalk when they are available.

This is such a unique idea. RESORT TOURS. I LOVE IT !! DO MORE. Everyone does park tours but no one takes the time to do walking tours of resorts. This would help my friends in the UK so much!

I've never heard of a resort day. Unless you count Aulani. However, next Disneyland vacation, I'm definitely incorporating short naps throughout the day. Might mean I don't get in as many activities, but I'll be alert for the activities I do get in.

We stayed at the Caribbean (Aruba) in Jan 2021, peak of all Covid peaks, and was perfectly empty and super cheap for 5 days. Room was super close to the Skyliner.

My wife and I stayed in the Jamaican section two years ago to celebrate our 30th anniversary, and we had a wonderful time. We loved the quick access to the Skyliner and having a choice to eat breakfast either at our resort or at the Riviera, which was about a 10 minute walk away.

its funny you mention the type of travelers. My immediate family are Vacationers, and we always have time planned as down time at the resorts. My extended family are Travelers, so they are always on the go, I dont have the energy for that lol.

Excellent video Chris!! When I was a kid, my family and I went on a cruise with some friends of ours. At the time, it was go go go time with our schedules and I made so many memories. Now as an adult, I don't go on cruises anymore as the fandom outgrew me. This video was very informative and got a lot out of it. The Skyliner makes me think of Disneyland when they used to have it and it brings back memories. While I never got to experience it, it's really fascinating Disney history.

The riviera is hands down my favorite resort we have stayed at. The yacht club is 2nd and the grand Floridian was pretty cool too. But wow riviera 👍🏼 the skyliner rules !!!!

Hi Chris. We now go without children : ) but when our boys were young we would do rope drop in the parks and be back at the resort pool for lunch with nap. Than back to the park for shows only or to Disney Springs

I like this resort and the ease of getting to both Epcot and Disney Studios, but I like the charm of Port Orlean French Quarter much better. I also think the whole great designed of Caribbean Breach Resort is marred by the eyesore of the Rivera Resort that just doesn’t fit at all.

We stay at the Jones bed and breakfast in Brooksville. It's free and My mom and her two dogs greet us! Then if we go to different places in FLA. I grew up in St. Pete.

My family and I stayed in one of the pirate themed rooms when they had them. They looked cool, but the beds had a wooden pirate ship built around them, and I kept hitting my foot on them when I’d turn over, and I turn over a lot at night. I’m 6’ 00”, so not super tall…so I can imagine the issue is a lot worse for those taller than me. Thanks for the tour!

I am someone who used the hotel to rest my head. I want to get as much stuff done as possible. I will build in a recuperation day into the tail end of the vacation when im back home if i need to recover, but i am not paying a premium to do so.

The Sky liner is going down for refurb. Keep that in mind. Soon! Jackie, with Super Enthused, just made a video on it. When we have a break day, we go to the beach, so technically it isn't a break day.

39:46 That's the price of the meal for ages 10 and older and then 9 and under. I don't know why Disney doesn't just put a dollar sign in front of the price.
