I love all the detail you provide. As you say it's small but has everything you need as a solo traveller on a short cruise. Great for those on a budget who don't want to share.
It's a great space on board - and as there's so much to do on Scarlet Lady, you barely have time to stay in your cabin for long. So the cabin is exactly what you need.
And this is for ME! I HATE sharing a bathroom - let alone a room! Plus, I'll be out and about enjoying the ship! I treat it like a Vegas room....just to get my rest!
Awesome video. Nice cabin size for a solo traveller. I think with all the entertainment onboard you’d be out of the room and only sleeping in it. Love the soft close drawer moment of the video.
Great video - mine on Valiant Lady last week was almost identical. The advice that I'd give anyone considering this cabin is to keep it tidy - although small, the space is really functional if you do try hard to keep it clear!
So nice of you! - thank you. I have my latest cabin tour on Virgin Voyages posted too if you want to check that out too. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FZ1ieZkFFXI.html.
Thanks so much David. It was a perfect cabin for a solo - Virgin haven’t penalised solo travellers at all - there are so many solo cabins available on ship.
Thanks so much for this informative video. I’m doing my first cruise on Valiant Lady soon and have opted for a solo cabin - I believe they’re the same as Scarlet Lady and if so I’ll be very happy as this looks great!
Hi Jo - thanks for watching - I’m so pleased to know it was useful for you. I was on Valiant Lady yesterday and the layout of the cabins are the same. Have a wonderful voyage! It’s a wonderful cabin for a solo.
Nice camera work and narration! The solo insider cabin is quite small, yet has all amenities needed. The roomy rainshower is worth the stateroom floor space sacrificed for the bathroom. One note... the closet for hanging clothes is not the same size as the other cabins onboard. It is about half the size of a standard inside cabin. Still big enough, imo. The cabinet with shelves and safe is full size.
Hi Donna - thanks so much for stopping by to watch and also your lovely comments, I like to ensure my narration and camera shots are helpful and informative so I'm pleased to know they are appreciated. You are quite right about the hanging space - well spotted. As it's (frustratingly) too late to change the narration - I've added a note to the info on the video - thank you for reminding me to do this.
@@CruiseWithAmber Neither one. From what I have seen, the cabins are way too small, laid out funny (especially the sink) and I don't like the shared solo lounge area they are in. I'm also not too keen on NCL as I've heard a lot of negative things, but to be fair, I've not sailed on them so I'm not much of an authority.
Thanks for your comment and stopping by to watch. I really appreciate it! This cabin *is* small (one of the smallest I’ve ever stayed in) but it’s got everything you need and the perfect size for a solo traveller- plus it makes you get out and explore the rest of the ship. Have a great time on board!
great detailed review. How was the noise level from the other cabins and surrounding area? I really loathe hearing doors slam loudly when I am in my cabin.
I was really curious to see these cabins! I am disabled, use a cane or walker for distances. This cabin would be perfect for me, I think!! Also, affordable with me being on disability
These cabins were at a really good price point for a solo traveller to enable me to get on ship. I notice they are constantly doing deals for additional bar tab or % discounts too so keep a look out for these offers.
The only thing that I would change would be the cushion on the wall, because that makes the room seem smaller. Other than that I would enjoy the cabin. I did a solo cabin a couple of years ago on Norwegian cruise line.
How do you do, Amber. It’s Lucy’s mum from Twitter. Thanks for showing this. I’ve booked a single insider on Valiant Lady for next Apr to Bruges. It’ll be my canine daughter’s hen party.
@@CruiseWithAmber Thanks for your reply, Amber. This single insider is just enough for me, Lucy & co. I’m booked on 1 Apr ‘22. Please let me know if you’re also on it, I’ll tell you my details in due course.
ok Im confused with the cabin numbers I have booked on Resilient Lady my cabin assigned is 9 266M Forward. Are you able to advise is the is a good cabin/Location? or should i request a more central middle of the ship location? love the information you provide 👍
Hi Stephen! - thanks for watching. let me explain the cabin numbers - as you know Virgin does things differently. The 'M' at the end signifies it's a middle cabin (i.e. inside - think like an airplane plane seating plan; you have a cabin in the 'middle aisle section'). The first number is the deck you are on - deck 9 - which is quite low down on the ship so you shouldn't feel as much movement as cabins on decks higher up. Looking on the deck plan (cruisewithamber.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Resilient-Lady-Deck-Plan-PDF-1.pdf) your location is pretty much near the centre of the ship. Again, you'll not feel as much movement in this cabin compared with some of the cabins right at the front or right at the back of the ship. The forward lifts are nearby to your cabin - but not too close. You also have cabins above and below you - which is also good. If you wanted to move even more midship on the same deck, then the only cabins I can see which are more towards the middle than your cabin are 9 180 M or 9 182M or 9184 M (if they've not been already booked). Hope this helps - have an amazing cruise on Resilient Lady!
@@CruiseWithAmber Hey Amber thank you soooo much for replying looks like my assigned cabin will be OK from what you have said. And having cabins on the above & below decks will cut noise from dance clubs etc. This will be my first cruise ever and really looking forward to getting the most out of the 12 days Thanks for the deck plans as they provide so much information for me I am not due to cruise until March 2024 as Wanted to avoid any delays with the ship as its already been delayed during construction so any and all bugs will be sorted by my boarding date all paid including drinks and ready to sail You take care and keep on posting😀😀😀👍
thank you so much. it's my Insta 360 Camera - I've also used it for filming my latest Virgin Voyages video too - see if you can spot the camera in the mirror reflections in the bathroom in this video, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FZ1ieZkFFXI.html
