I Stayed Overnight in 'Britain's WORST Hotel'

If anybody is wondering what that wire was under the sink - it's earth bonding to prevent electrical shocks if the pipework became live for whatever reason

I stayed ten nights in that place and it was like being in Beirut. The room itself was okay, comfy-ish bed but the bathroom was disgusting. It had faeces all over it and urine on the floor that had been trailed into the corridor. I ended up crapping into a plastic bag and peeing into the sink. The lady in the next room was a prostitute who entertained a different guy every hour and even asked me if I wanted a blowie for five pounds including swallowing. The place was filled with skanks, drug addicts, a Nigerian family who spent all the time screaming at each other and someone who based on the different barking had at least five dogs. My room was broken into twice and like you they gave it to someone else but I was out when they gave it to them but luckily the guy was so drunk it was easy to throw him out the door and drag him to reception who threw him out and then gave me some clean sheets to put on the bed. The worst night was a Friday, the skanks had a party outside that was basically a 24 hour rave broken up by the police on Saturday afternoon much to the annoyance of a guy call Daz who everyone referred to as the man. I befriended a young polish guy who was put in there by the council and it was coming up to a year since he moved in. He told me he that the majority of the people who stayed were long term and had mental health issues. This was backed up by the constant screams, shouts and banging. During my ten day stay I never saw the cleaner, the polish guy said you get sheets from reception but not often. In short the place is full of societies degenerates and I'm surprised you made it out alive.

A shared bathroom at a motel?? Why? That is just creepy lol. I hope you're still alive Ed. That place was something else 🤣

If you found that experience fine, then I hate to think what you would find unacceptable! - Someone actually able to enter your room during the night must be a hotel resident's worst nightmare after fire.

I’ve stayed in a much worse hotel than that in Norwich, it had no reception desk, there was brasses operating in basically every other room and there was mounds of rubbish/condoms/drug paraphernalia hidden under the beds. I remember it being £19 a night and I still felt ripped off 😂

Nice touch leaving the items for the next guests 😂 You should re-book it again in the future and ask for that 101 room and see if the items are still there!

I'd never use the kettle in a shared bathroom hotel, because its normally used as a toilet. The sink also.

Not as bad as the one we almost stayed at in San Francisco, Tenderloin area... was not the "working Girls" or the open drug dealing it was the dead body in a carpet out the back !!! 911 was called then we left, did not even open our cases , saw the body when we were looking for some where better close by.

Tbh everytime I see these worst hotel videos in the uk it never compares to the absolute dives I stayed in , in America for double the price! I just wish I documented them

I stayed there about 4 weeks ago it a shit hole. Bed was broken and staines on the bed. And around 1am the place comes alive with people smoking outside shouting it's like party hours from 1am to 5 am. It's a crap hole

They offered the place for asylum seekers, but it didn't meet the required standard

Glad i found this. I was there for 3 nights last year. The room wasnt totally dreadful but it is (or was last year) used by the council to house asylum seekers and homeless long-term rather than paying guests.

£35 a night. You pay for what you get ‼️

Hi i am new to the channel and what a great video. I would not stay at that hotel not even it was 5p or even it was free.. firstly what horrible corridors and very uninviting and it looks like a hospital from the outside, secondly what a horrible run down room with a lack of security. Thank you for making it.

The cable by the sink is what looks to me like earth bonding to prevent electrical shocks in the water so in a thunderstorm the lightning won't cause a problem eg an electric shock for example.

Personally if I’m hungry I’d be inclined to find a Tesco and grab a meal deal, you can also get items from the reduced section but it’s a bit of a lottery. If there’s a Wetherspoons close that might be a safe bet for decent hot food and a drink at some sort of sensible price.

We stayed in a hotel like that in London. It was disgusting, dirty, had a communal bathroom and toilets, the double bed was two single beds of completely different height, size and firmness of mattress...and housed long term homeless. Wifi was only in the loby and there was always the same lager swilling, smoker guarding the one table 🙄. However, it was very close to Houston station so that was a bonus for the week hahaha. We too bought items abd fancy toiletries then left them for others 😂😂 Great video. Soooo wish I had thought of doing this lol.

I went to a hotel in Goole, Yorkshire a few years back Oh. My. God!!!! It was dire. There was yelling, prostitution going on in the room next to mine and the staff were walking around outside mine and my mums room at 11.30 at night yelling at each other. I was glad to get out of there!!!

I read an article about people boiling their socks and undies in the kettles to clean it. I am not sure I would ever use a kettle in a place like this.

the roast sandwich company was near that place.. you missed an absolute gem for roast beer or pork sandwiches.

I stayed there a few years back when I was visiting friend's, i was given a room with bunk beds 😅 It was noisy on the first night, shower worked one night but didn't work the next night i tried telling the staff but i felt ignored It was extremely dirty in the corridor, bit cleaner in thr room bedding wasn't that fresh i ended up buying a bottom sheet and a mattress protector for the bed and a bedding set which i left behind hope they cleaned it 😂

I live in Stockton and I can confirm it's a rough area 😂

I used to live in Stockton. That hotel is fairly near the two worst areas in Stockton, I lived about 5 minutes walk front there.

You could do Whitby Goth weekend in October, and go to Glastonbury shopping to all the Witchy shops, the Tor and the Chalice Well 😅 also try the witch craft museum in Boscastle. I stayed there for two weeks 12 or 13 years ago! I was working for a company who wanted to get rid of me so this is where they put me up whilst I was doing a job in Middlesbrough. I was the only British person staying there, the others were some rough looking Polish guys who went out each day in a van, and the rest were asylum seekers (Somalis, I think). Even the receptionist asked why I was staying there! I was too scared to go outside when I got in, and it was possibly one of the lowest points in my life!

Not my home town😂. Funnily enough I ended up in a carbon copy hotel in like in France in 2019. Horrendous wasn’t the word. Full of prostitutes and god knows what. Never again, no wonder we paid €40 for 2 nights

I stayed in a hotel like that for 1 week in Scotland for work it was horrible dirty the self cleaning toilet/showers where still dirty and apparently it was frequented by ladies of the night One guy passed out in the toilets Needless to say I wouldn’t stay there again
