Apart from his splendiferous singing, Olsen is also a fine actor . . . and a pretty fair dancer when the occasion demands!

I DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO love this! I sing it to myself (VERY badly, and ONLY when I'm alone!) at the merest suggestion that a hat will be dropped . . . to paraphrase someone in "The Importance of Being Earnest", I don't sing well, ANYONE can sing well; I sing with wonderful expression.

I don't know whether it's still in print or not. If it is, I think you need to buy the complete Opera Australia Gilbert and Sullivan box set, but I've seen it show up in op shops occasionally, so it should be pretty easy to find second hand.

Really bad. Inconsistent accent, wrong voice for the role (too light), and what is that jerky, foppish manner?. Or the meaningless no po-hossible doubt whatever? Save us from actors who think they can do this .

Some empathy should cushion judgement in this case. After all, it is a performance of " The Gondoliers".

@@johnupfold4895 just so you know, I've known the score of The Gondoliers for 60 years, have a Master of Music degree and have been performing Gilbert and Sullivan for 40 years professionally. That doesn't make me right, of course, but I'd put my musical credentials up against yours any day. I've seen loads of Gondoliers-es.
