Before, my skin was not smooth and showed dark spots. However now, after applying this littleexetra vitamin C face serum, it all has changed. My skin feels much smoother and brighter. Those dark spots are almost gone. Now my skin looks shiny and bright, something I absolutely like. The best part? I do not need to wear as much makeup anymore since this serum works so well! It doesn't feel sticky, which is great for me. The serum absorbs into my skin fast and doesn't leave any residue.
I have been using this riceberry serum for a considerable period and its results are amazing. My face now appears clear and luminous. Additionally, it hydrates my skin and penetrates my skin rapidly into my skin, giving me a bright and shiny look. Loved it.
People need to chill out. She is going through her OWN skincare routine which happens to have pricier products then she is offering cheaper options. If you can’t afford the products she’s using then don’t! Just look at the other products she links as alternatives. They’re $10-20! ✌️
I will agree Vit C can be unstable, but we have to keep the advice in perspective: 'budget' - and reason for the serum (hyperpigmentation vs. lines/wrinkles). I'll stick with Vit C (am) Retinol (pm) and keep recommending to my clients. Thank you for the heads up!
I’m going to stick with your old recommendations since they worked so brilliantly for me. Retrinal skin and eyes-almost completely got rid of the very dark circles under my eyes, and really evened out my skin tone. One of your Vitamin C with ferulic acid recommendations had visible improvement in my spots in 3 days, and really, really helped. Goes to show, everyone is different, and with a little trial and error, you can find something that works for you. Thank you, Doctor, for your videos and wonderful recommendations!
1000% stick with your routine. Don't change a thing. These are amazing results you are sharing and I'm SO happy for you! Thanks for sharing and watching :)
Me too... I'm a long time retinol user but after watching this channel, I added vitamin C to my morning routine along with a glycolic toner. I can't believe how good my skin looks so I'm sticking to it.
I’m 46 and my skincare is very basic: wash my face with water only in the morning, apply Fitglow Beauty day essence, Pacifica vegan ceramide eye cream and sunscreen. Use a cleansing oil at night and use the vitamin C serum from Fitglow Beauty or the Herbivore prism exfoliating glow serum and that’s it! It seems to work well as I get a lot of compliments on how youthful my skin looks even though I have some fine lines
For all the Canadians out there: Retinal products ARE available in Canada. The Avene A-Oxitive Night Peeling Cream and Physiolift eyes both have 0.1% Retinal. They're available at shoppers and london drugs. 😊
I saw them at shoppers but bought Neostrata retinol serum instead. I can still return. Do you know it Avene a-oxitive is better than Neostrata retinol serum (0.3%)?
@@susanmeredith4957 thanks, will try that one although I feel that serums might be more effective than creams (Neostrata is a serum Vs Avene which is a cream) but maybe I am making that up in my mind.
@@BestWishesWarmestRegards it’s more about the ingredient than if it’s a cream or serum. Avene uses Retinaldehyde (Retinal) which is stronger than the Neostrada retinol. I’ve used both and it’s a big difference. Then I went from Avene to prescription Tretinoin.
@@susanmeredith4957 thanks. I got prescription Tretinoin of 0.025% off the shelf from another country. I was a bit hesitant to use it. I guess I can give it a try maybe starting once a week. And yes I will exchange Neostrata with Avene.
This is my favorite routine that I’ve found that works for my skin and it’s not so complicated. I think this is such a straight forward routine. I now use the Tula probiotics & superfoods serum and Tula eye and replenish, Avene protective cream to give my skin a break and several other products that works for my budget and skin. I love this routine!
I switched vitamin C for Q10 serum, I only use vitamin C every other day at night. I have dark skin and vitamin C was making my skin photosensitive and causing pigmentation, so I stopped applying during the day. Q10 is also a good antioxidant.
Omg...I bought one of her recommended Vit C products, thinking it would be good for my skin...and now it's not even needed?...Why did I waste my money?....Why do Influencers keep changing their recommendations?...
She is a dermatologist it’s her job to keep trying and recommending different products all the time. Vitamin C is good in the morning for many people and has the most benefits. If it is working for you keep using it. If it is not or you see vitamin c is causing irritation this is a good alternative. Vitamin C has more studies behind it and is one of the most potent antioxidants though so it is preferred. Hope this helps.
It depends who they’re getting paid by. She’s to flaky for a doctor so I don’t trust her. 6 days ago posted another and says how she’s always going back to the severed vitamin c one. Also says how she’s always using lots of products calling them my to go to .. so how? She’s def lying. I found dr dray a more honest and reliable person who sticks to her recommendations.
Great video today and love the idea of Vit C in moisturizer! What are your thoughts about The Ordinary Buffet + Copper Peptides and placement in skin care routine, if any?
Thanks for the great video! For another great Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate product that I love is DRMTLGY's Vitamin C5 moisturizer. It has peptides, ceramides, vitamin E, and five different forms of Vitamin C, (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, & Ascorbyl Glucoside). Great lightweight moisturizer that doesn't pill under SPF. It may seem expensive, but it's a 1.75oz bottle for $62, which is actually quite reasonable when most vitamin c products come in a 1oz bottle.
Try Korean skincare line now at Target! The vita c serum is the stable sort and the other serums and creams was well. Korean skincare can be pricey, but this one is amazingly affordable and so convenient being I'm a major Target hair and skin shopper
Hello! Delighted to say you're a new find on my feed, but I find your informative details about each step, the why, the different options (& which is best choice) are so helpful! As a professor known for being a fast talker, may I say you speak so clearly and enunciate beautifully, so easy to follow! Definitely going to check out Tula & bakuchiol (even if I still enjoy VitC serum in a.m.) ❤🌺🙏
I find no issue with Vitamin C serum & have always had extremely sensitive skin since birth. I could not use soap as a child with out huge rashes all over my body. Maybe it is how I apply it? I wash my face and occasionally add rosewater fist, then to a wet face, add hyaluronic acid to a wet face, neck and chest. Add vitamin C, then, retinol. After that either jojoba or, evening primrose, or Greek oil skin remedy. Then aloe vera, moisture boost, face cream depending on if it is day or night. After that, add Ponds Dry Skin Cream (I have used it since I was a child and never found it irritating). Ponds is 176 years old. This means that the ingredients are simple and not filled with chemicals. Petrolatum and mineral oil protect skin. Petrol is not a chemical either, It is formed from ancient plant and animal life. Fertilizer is made out of it ad carbon in botany journals is classified as a nutrient for plants. They renew oxygen by breathing in carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen. Plants/Trees and humans are interdependent on each other. We need to remember that!
I have sensitive skin and I've avoided buying a vitamin c serum for years and after seeing endless content everywhere about it, I finally gave in and just last night I bought my first one for $35. If only if I'd waited one more day to see this video I'd have a bottle of bakuchiol instead of vitamin c.
I use Paula's Choice Retinol and Bakuchiol product at night. It has both actives in one product and I LOVE IT! My sensitive skin tolerates it well and I am just now starting to see really good results after about two months.
PLEASE can someone recommend or even know of a moisturizer that contains at least some of these together?- hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, retinol, & vitamin c I’m so tired of using 12 different products at once
I've just discovered this channel and the budget dermatologist and I've really been enjoying all the advice, really useful and informative. What I'm having a hard time with is that a lot of the recommended products are not budget drug store brands. Some are I agree, but a lot are not. $76 for a serum is not budget friendly, or $41 for a cleanser, again, I could never justify paying that.
She has tons of budget friendly options/ alternative products she's tested that she recommends when you don't want to spend more for costly products. Watch more videos and look at links. The bulk are budget friendly! And rem, anything too cheap that you shop for in-store or online, is going to be a cheap quality!
Fiona, where there's a will there's a way. Looks for the specific ingredients she mentions. None of this is written in stone. It's what's best for you AND your budget. I agree it's tough because these are products that you replace frequently but you can try cutting cost in some areas so you can splurge on others, streamline some products (combining them basically like she suggests) as well as looking for generic options of some of the super popular products. Good look dear. ♥
I know this is an old video but I hope you see this. Paula’s Choice has a variety of “anti-aging” serums. PC also has regular sales, at least in the States, I would like to see someone review and compare all these serums and let us know which is best for different skin types. The PC website is confusing, this would be a big help for those of us who want a one and done morning serum.
I ditched Vitamin C some time ago, because despite storing in cool place I could never use it up before it went “bad”. As for new products you’ve suggested, they certainly can’t be labeled “budget”. That’s what I normally love your videos for - truly suggesting budget alternatives.
I kept my mine (recommended by my dermo) in dark bottle in frig, too. I’m almost 70 now, so I’m pretty sure benefits are minimal at my age. I never saw any effects anyway, despite using it for years. Thank you so much for your kind offer!
Wow thanks for sharing your discovery and new products that are getting hot in the research. All very good videos btw! I'm literally binge watching all your video this weeks, ahah!
I once tried a vitamin C cleansing product and it irritated my skin. Hence I understand that it's not for everyone. I returned to my natural exfoliate once a month and everything is okay :) people are different. No one size fits all solutions..
I was excited to find these videos but now I'm just utterly CONFUSED after watching 4 or 5 of them. Even with trying to screenshot some specific segments 😢😢😢 my brain hurts now...darn. I'm going to keep trying!
I use both bukachiol and vitamin c serum. I cannot use retinol due to my very dry skin and eczema. Like you, vitamin c serum irritates me, but I found one that doesn’t - CeraVe! Their vitamin c serum is very well tolerated by sensitive skin babes - formulated with hyloraunic acid and it’s 10% vitamin c serum.
Skincare and anti aging regimen are a roadmap to killing your pockets and can also be disappointing. I am a firm believer, use what truly works for you. I do realize somewhere down the line , your face care, may have to swich up for better results during Summer and Winter and making sure you research as much as possible. I watch several dermatologist, and I truly love the education on this channel ❤ I actually use adaphalene with retinoid and love it. I had been using the Tru C and now have moved to the Cera V vitamin C which has been wonderful. Ty for putting these options out here.
Vitamin c serums always broke me out. I spoke to my technician who is amazing in skincare about finding the perfect vitamin c serum and she was the only one who told me,,,don't waste your money, vitamin c is not for everyone and it's not necessary, a lot is marketing. She told me that I have a mild case of rosacea and vitamin c would make it worse.
Interesting! Vitamin c is actually great for managing rosacea. Anti-inflammatory, strengthens the capillaries I wonder what new information I’m missing
I believe in vitamin C internally, not on my skin. It's honestly a fad. Having enough vitamine C intake will help the skin a lot because it helps to reduce inflammation. I recommend it!
@@emmaphilo4049 vitamin C is great for brightening and pigmentation. Definitely shows improvement on the clients I have worked with. Also taking supplements orally is also important for overall health. I don’t think it’s holy grail level but it definitely works.
This is so helpful. I've been using the L'Oreal glycolic cleanser you recommended in the AM as a way of increasing effectiveness of vitamin. C and sunscreen. Just wondered if you could share why you switched from the glycolic cleanser, since cell turnover still seems like an important step in skincare. Did you find it too irritating to skin or is it not proving to be as effective a skincare step as formerly thought to be (I know that science continues to evolve so updates are understandable and expected). Thanks!...big fan of your videos and just want to make sure I'm following your latest advice correctly since you've made a huge difference for both my skin and my wallet! xoxoxo
I recently learned about a stable form of vitamin C called THD… I’ve been trying it out for about a week now :-) I’m going to check outbucuchial serum, I have been on the fence about it but you reminded me about it since I quit using retinol. I love hearing this stuff from a down to earth dermatologist! :-)
I love you! Your videos are always soooo informative. You give lots of choices and insights into the why's and why not so we ourselves can make better and informed decisions for ourselves!!!
I think some people ignore the most important thing about skin care and anti aging, Sunscreen sunscreen sunscreen! Can’t say how much I regret not using sunscreen in my 20s
Well I didn't realize I was clicking on a sales pitch for tula. Apparently she's doing a paid sponsorship and btw tula is notorious for causing rashes and irritation.
Yep. She’s definitely not trustworthy. I just saw another vid where she recommends a 136 dollars moisturizer that’s is fulls of irritating ingredients like lavender and peppermint. That’s insane that a dermatologist would recommend that. I just came across her vid last night and after watching a few of her vids I would take her advice. I found dr Dray to be an honest trustworthy person to take advice from.
Anyone on RU-vid has to disclose paid partnership videos... I think it also needs to be disclosed in the description of the video too. This one specifically says not sponsored.
Love Love Love that Vanicream cleanser. So gentle and elegent feeling. Such a minimal ingredient list which still removes my makeup The only reason I would even consider deviating from it would be if I wanted to add in active ingredients.
People, these dermatlogists have to work with different brands at the same time to make money... It does not mean those who follows them need to buy every product they "suggest". If that was the case, I'd be broke so far..!😂 Just make notes and spend money on the prods you think will work on your skin.
Thank you for this. I had bought the winky lux bakuchiol serum but didn't really have a place to use it until you mentioned the morning. I just assumed it was one to be used at night. I was ready to get rid of it!
I still use ascorbic acid on my skin. I mix up a tea spoon of cosmetic grade ascorbic acid in a two oz bottle, with a matchstick head sized amount of baking soda to raise the ph to tolerable levels. I store the bottle in the fridge keep the solution from oxidizing, and it always stays clear to the last drop. There are more complicated recipes for diy vitamin c serum on RU-vid. In the future I may add a few drops of licorice extract for additional protection form hyperpigmentation, provided the solution stays acidic. These ingredients can easily be found on Amazon, and they inexpensive. Just refrigerate the ingredients as well as the bottle to keep everything fresh, and they will last awhile. The amounts and ph can be tweaked to accommodate sensitive skin. I like my solution because it is easily affordable, and the supplies pay for themselves after several bottles.
@@StillBloom You can't go wrong with distilled water. I use tap water, although my water is relatively soft. You may want to invest in tiny measuring spoons, ph test strips, and a tiny funnel. I'm even going to get dessicant packs to my in my ascorbic acid powder, as keeping it cold and dry will make it last a long time. Generally speaking, the lower the ph, the better your skin will absorb it ascorbic acid. Try to keep it below 3.5 if your skin is OK with it. I originally had a longer and more detailed posting for you, but RU-vid kept deleting it.
I think your new routine is brilliant. I think of “budget” as the overall cost of a routine. Certainly, a simple routine with a couple of powerhouse items would be more budget friendly than a multitude of products and multiple steps. Look forward to trying out the new products, especially a swap for vitamin c.
I have rosacea and used vitamin C for a couple years UNTIL I developed seborrheic dermatitis (thank you compromised immune system and wearing masks so much). Now I can’t wear vitamin C anymore. 😢 I love hearing about the moisturizer having a stable formula. Unfortunately I think the Makeup Eraser also contributed to my SD development. It did not do well on removing all of my foundation and sunscreen. I only realized it months later when I bought DHC Cleansing oil and used it after the makeup eraser. I used the makeup eraser as normal then used a white washcloth to apply the cleanser and the washcloth came away with makeup/tinted sunscreen on it. I chucked my makeup erasers and advise friends to use other options to clean their face.
I watched your drug store video and bought the following: La Roche Posay cleansers La Roche Posay moisturizers Avene RetinAl for face and eye Timeless Vit C serum Australian Gold SPF I followed your AM and PM routine to a T from your recent videos. And now you changed course? As a healthcare provider like you are, you convinced me on the science of it all. But respectfully, I hope you won’t keep changing your routine for content or income from this products. It might be confusing your followers. Nonetheless, appreciate your thorough explanations on the science behind some of the products you talk about.
Just because she changes her skin care routine doesn't mean that you have to do that too. Always do your research and see what works for you! I mean if she ends up saying that she is going to incorporate hmm...dog fieces to her skin care routine are you going to do that too?😂 No right? Lol
You didn’t mention using an exfoliant. I have been using the L’Oréal glycolic acid cleanser in the morning for about a month now and love it! Are you still using an exfoliant and, if so, what are you using and when (am or pm, every day, every other)? Also, how do you layer a bakuchiol product with an AHA?
Re the comments below. The doctor is showing you her routine. She's not telling you what to use. Sometimes, if a product becomes popular then, others will copy it, and then that will be less money. .
Yes! This is just a "behind the scenes" kind of video to show you what's up this summer in my routine and clear up some questions surrounding my vitamin C usage right now. This in NO way is supposed to be taken as "This is what you need to buy or do" advice. And like I always say: If you have products or a routine that you love and is working for you right now...DONT CHANGE A THING! It's so hard to get to a place where you have a really awesome routine that is getting you results. So be consistent and go with it. I say I need to take my own advice more lol but my research has led me down a rabbit hole on Bakuchiol, microbiome, and more so here I am shaking things up...and I'm not mad about it! so far so good :)
I’ve been using Beekman 1802 Vitamin C serum in the morning and their Bakuchiol serum at night. Not all of the time but I tried lots of products before finding your channel and they were my favorites.
I love how well you explain things. Figuring out a skincare routine can be very confusing. Been watching other videos, trying for a few years now, and feel like I haven't been able to get it right. After discovering your videos, I understand much better how to build my routine. So thank-you. I do have a question though. Is it true that moisturizing products should be applied to damp skin and actives to dry skin? If that is true, then how do you apply a product that has both. Like the Vit C moisturizer. Would that go on damp or dry skin?
I'm new to skin care (6 months) and I only learned about bakuchiol recently. My reaction was exactly the same - why use vit C if bakuchiol gives me all the benefits without the downsides? The same goes for niacinamide and even retinol. It seems that one can ditch all three and just use bakuchiol instead. I'm definitely gonna try it.
I love my vit c and have seen results. It’s hard to find a good one with some many duds on the market. Also it is irritating for some but if you’re skin can take it’s worth it
I have been waiting for Part 2 of the collagen supplement video with bated breath. Can’t wait for your recommendations. Can we have the video soon please.🙂
Use Vit C vs Bakuchiol depending on your skin’s needs! If you need it to fix even pigmentation seemed primary. Both will deal with dark spots. But you MUST use sunscreen with Vit C (if you’re outside at all you SHOULD) but she didn’t seem concerned about using sunscreen w the Bakuchiol. Odd coming from a Derm!!
Never much of a vitamin c person. Acne was always a bigger issue for me so I would rather spend that money of retinol/retinal creams, adapelene, and azelaic acid gel cream. And of course, sunscreen; I have two extra bottles of Avene Intense Protect and Biore Watery Essence!! Now this does not mean I completely shy away from vitamic c products. I do like Farm Stay Dr V8 Vitamin Ampoule; it works well on my body skin so I use it when I need any brightening on my body. On the inexpensive side, too (around 25$ for 250ml). Definitely want to try LRP and Vichy vitamic c products BUT again I would rather spend that on retinoids and azelaic acid and sunscreen.
I get that there are options and not just one product per issue, however, it is crazy to me that there are people using 5-10 different products just for skin care. Are we losing our mind here just because we’re afraid of aging?
Doctor, I have been following your previous recommendations for AM and PM routines and my face hasn’t looked better ( smooth, even texture and my pores seem smaller) I don’t need hardly any foundation!. I do have rosacea and the vitamin C didn’t irritate. So thank you.
I have been using the Avene RetrinAL for my face and I also have the RetrinAL Eyes and I am really enjoying them. I agree they r more on the pricey side, but it works for me. I love how I don't have the irritation.
Wondering about your thoughts on using wipes for cleaning off makeup. I use the Equate brand makeup remover wipes and feel they do the job really well.
I stopped using vitamin C after using it for over 10 years when I started using Tretinoin and hydroquinone (only twice a year for a couple of months). I am 50 and my skin has never looked or felt better and I am spending WAY less on skincare than I ever have.
Retrinal eyes and physiolift eyes are the same product, I have compared their ingredients and I can assure you it's the same thing..The company has different line names for different countries..Here in Morocco it's the Physiolift that's available in the market. Btw I currently use the eye cream based on your recommendation. Thank you
Great video Dr. Locke! Thank you for letting us know about new brands that work for you that we may like even if they are more expensive. You always let us know if you think the benefit will outweigh the price.
I’ve recently started using a copper peptide serum in the morning and my Vitamin C serum at night. What are your thoughts on products like some of Paula’s Choice that combine Vitamin C with Bakuchiol or Retinol? Would Bakuchiol be compatible copper peptides?
Love your videos!! Just found your amazing channel. Do you still use the glycolic acid wash from Loreal? I just bought it after watching an older video.
I love your budget skincare product advice, thank you I have to correct myself, most products are not budget friendly😅 I am sorry but I take my like back, I gave it because it began really nice but all the other products are expensive
Ummm,, where did the "budget" go?? Most of these products are way out of my "budget", but then again, I'm not living on doctor's wages. I'd like to see more affordable product alternatives, like other videos I've watched on this channel.
Love to hear this feedback! This is my current routine of products I’m trying out this summer which is why it’s focused on a few brands, coming off the heels of a recent deep dive I did on microbiome skincare…I try out brands from low to high and tell you when to spend and when to save! Lots of budget options in this video and linked in the description! From a $6 cleanser, to a Bakuchiol product under $20, to a vitamin c moisturizer also under $20! You CAN get results with affordable products and I have many tried and true ones thorough out this video!
@@BH-ug5pb I make all of these videos for you all! Not everyone will like all the recommendations in every single video, I just hope that at least SOME of the videos on this channel will be relevant and helpful to every person who graciously takes the time to stop by my channel and watch!
Thank you so much for the video. I have been using prescription strength Tretinoin 0.1% for about two years 4-5 nights a week. I am 45 years old female. I use 20% vitamin C serum(timeless) I have a great diet, no sugar most of the time. I do eat some fruits. My sister thinks I am wasting my time and not even enjoying my life for nothing. She doesn’t see no results on me. I get discouraged that I work so hard and I don’t see results. I can’t afford expensive office procedures.
You are not supposed to see results. By the time you are 50-55 you may look better than if you hadn't taken care of yourself. It's only been two years. These aren't methods to make you look 20. These preventive measures. Ignore your sister and don't ask anyone. If you need anything go to your dermatologist.
1st time watching. Products look great, but for me a bit disappointing as your title says Budget Dermatologist but these products are far from budget friendly when I looked them up online. You did add a few items to try on a budget so maybe I'll try those.
Yes, agree, she should change the name of the channel, and most products area somewhat expensive and need to be ordered from a website from which she gets a cut
I agree. She usually does videos with budget friendly drugstore products and now she's changed her whole routine to products I sure can't afford on my budget.
Oh for goodness sake, she has a whole channel filled with videos featuring budget items. She doesn’t need to change the name of her channel because of one outlier. Grow the hell up. These are the products in HER current routine. She isn’t telling anyone they have to go out and buy these things. If you’re not interested in these, go watch literally any other video on her channel.
Why not just add bakuchiol after vitamin c serum? It seems counterintuitive to swich out a proven ingredient that also enhances sunscreen (!!!!) to an ingredient that is really not tested that much and it is minimally convincing so far.
Because this is a sponsored video. I thought she was the budget dermatologist but she’s showing stuff that cost $78 for a one ounce bottle of cream. How is that budget?I guess it’s considered budget skincare if you’re rich.
Bakuchiol is similar to every other product that encourages cell turnover. I've started using it after watching her Tula video, and it has proven itself to me. But my skin is so sensitive I could never use it the same time as something else that has a similar effect like vitamin c, AHA, etc.
Don’t follow everything she says blindly. I love this channel because of the tons of info I get here. Try things and use what works for you at least we have the facts.
Do you have any opinion about Avene retinaldehyde vs. Maelove retinaldehyde? Thanks for your great videos - very informative and straight to the point!!
This video is coming off the heels of my deep dive into microbiome skincare. So my current routine reflects that because I really try to use products for quite a bit of time before I can talk in depth about them. Tula products are formulated to balance the skin microbiome which I find fascinating and am trying to learn more about! Throughout this video, I do give budget alternatives to the Tula products and have some budget picks linked in the description below as well (a Bakuchiol option for as low as $10, among others!). I will always continue to try both high-end all the way to super affordable products/brands so I truly understand the full spectrum of what is out there and can therefore speak knowledgeably about "when to spend and when to save." After all, even if a product is at a super affordable price...if it doesn't work, then it's a waste of money (even if it's a waste of a small amount of money)!
Just received my Tula Eye Recharge in the mail !! Anxious to start using it tonight! Just a quick question also, are you a spokesperson for Tula? Thank you for all your info! Definitely use your recommendations 😘
Can’t wait to hear! I am not a spokesperson for any brand. This is my current summer skincare routine which is coming off the heels of a recent deep dive I did on microbiome skincare. That is why this video is focused on a few brands, but as always my tried and true holy grails are still in this routine!
Please try not to be judgmental people for no reason . Everyone has their own budget and preferences where they want to spend their money . Also there are many reasons why people may choose or must spend more higher tag prices for products . For example I have a seborrheic dermatitis. Because of that I can’t never use certain drug store brands like olay , L’Oréal , even high end products like Clinique , Estée Lauder etc . My skin will literally get red , itchy , inflammation to the point it is painful . It doesn’t mean this skincare lines are bad , in fact many people uses daily and loving it yet I can not . Therefore , I spend more money for skincare products even for my shampoo because seborrheic dermatitis affects your scalp too. I am actually happy that she is sharing products that I wasn’t aware of it before .
This is interesting. I am currently pregnant and as soon as I found out, I stopped using tretinoin. I bought the bakuchiol serum from UK based brand GOW (love their products btw). Unfortunately, my skin reaction after first time using it was pretty terrifying. My whole face was swollen, it was badly irritated, red, just really bad I think it took me about 10days to calm it down so sadly it didn't work for me. I thought my skin is pretty resistant after using retinol or later on tretinoin for years but looks like it doesn't tolerate it... I would love to hear your update after 3 6 months of using it 😊
Is she being paid royalties or something? The routine seems to be changing on the fly and the number of products she's supposedly using daily is impossible to call "budget".
