I Struggled with PTSD as a Pastor Until God Revealed This…😔 

This has made me feel a lot less alone, as a Christian who has cptsd and is just now beginning to heal at the age of 34. Thank you for sharing your testimony!

Wow this must be God...😢😢 I have PTSD and the symptoms have driven me crazy. I can't have friends, can't relate with my kids. I must follow this mans guidance 😢😢😢.He must understand and be reasonable dealing with people like me. I am a believer in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and in my 50s. Thank you 🙏

I got PTSD as a child. I heard & saw demons. My dad showed my sister’s & myself porn, I was only 5. At night I heard chains & the door knob trying to open. I didn’t sleep much at night. My life until I was 23 was nothing but sexual abuse, kidnapped & being kicked out of a running car. While I was being abused I would look for an escape, so now at 58 when I don’t feel safe I look for a way out. I’m not on meds & I’m not against them. What works for me is daily listening to God’s word & I soak my brain in God’s truth all night long. I’m getting the truth into my subconscious as I sleep. I sleep great now & occasionally I have an episode. Another thing that works is desensitizing myself to the things that once caused me triggers. God has done a work in me! I can now live alone without fear, but I’m smart enough to have an alarm system & gun by my pillow. I believe that God has blessed me abundantly bcz He sees me & I love Him more than anything in my life!

Thank you for your testimony brother. I have PTSD, scitzoaffective disorder, depression and OCD. My mother was an alcoholic and a drug addict and married a guy who sexually abused me growing up so I know what he's going through. God has helped me too but there's more work to be done.

Thanks so much for this video. My son Jesse has C Ptsd and just learned about it the year before he passed last year in November 2022. My son had got sick from black mold plus C PTSD. He took his own life. I prayed and asked the Lord to heal him as I seen him getting sick. May more people know about this and seek the Lord to help. Please pray for me as my son Jesse's 1 year remembrance approaches on November 5, 2023. May the Lord help me as I miss him so much.

Many were not delivered from childhood traumas before they minister unto others, that is why we must pray for our pastors so that the enemy can’t take them out before their time! We must treat our pastors with love & care! I pray this pastor still preach on the streets to win lost souls for the Kingdom of God till he go meet the Lord on the street if he is not preaching in churches as he said he retired !

I'm 28 and it took me getting into a relationship for God to expose my brokenness. I honestly had no idea how insecure I really am. As men we suppress emotional hurt to meet the expectations of others. But we need to be true to ourselves and let God into those struggles

This truly ministered unto me and helped me see and understand the process of what the Lord has been and done in my life to restore and heal my soul. Glory to God for this dear precious brother in Christ. Thank you for sharing your beautiful testimony. This also spoke to me. I heard the Lord telling me that's how I should talk to my sweet three young sons. I delight in you. You are safe. You are loved always, I am so proud of you. Etc.. I do so already but more. I want my sons to look back and hear the Lord through me reminding them how loved they are. I cherished and thank my God he saved a wretch like before so that I could be a mother and love them with the love of Christ. Makes me sad how many lost people are hurting so many children. This world needs Jesus!! The greatest news truly is the Gospel!!

I also have PTSD among other things and i lead a Bible study. A lot of time I feel unworthy or unqualified because of my brokenness.

You're so reflective & calm, it was very easy to listen to you, you overcame so much with great patience, the Lord told me 30 yrs ago not take take any drugs precribed or otherwise, they're a doorway to demonic activity, he delivered me overnight of an 11 yr addiction to pain killers sleeping tablets & valium,

Totally relating about antidepressants and numbness. Had exact same experience, was able to overcome after meeting and seeking Christ. God is our great physician, follow the directions he leads you into in dealing with symptoms. Get into His Word, pray and believe for His healing, whatever it takes. Victory awaits ..

I did not think I would connect to his story so much, we are quite different, and the childhood trauma is not the same, but I connected to his story more than anyone I have heard thus far on this channel. The LORD used him to say very specific things to encourage me on this painful and difficult journey to healing. Father, please continue the work in brother. Tim's life, and may he fulfill Your purpose for him for Your glory, in Jesus' name, Amen.

I prayed for the churches. We have had a spirit of religion coming at us. We must stand agaisnt it in Jesus name

I was just thinking about ptsd because I feel like I suffer from it and I was calling it anxiety. However I do suffer from social anxiety all my life and I’ve asked the lord to deliver me. Since I can remember I’ve dealt with this. Some days I don’t have it. But mostly I do 😢 it’s definitely spiritual , chains etc

Seeking help doesn't make you weak, nor is it a reflection of your lack of belief in Him. He created us to need one another, we view seeing a doctor for our physical health as acceptable, we should view seeking help for our mental health in the same way. I really needed this. I have CPTSD also. I backslid on some symtoms when i visited family. And i say it that same way, its like God.is refathering me..but sometimes I project my rejection when I fall back into old symptoms. At one pont i thought He left me, and I felt/heard Him speak to me gently also reassuring me that though i go in & out, He is always with me. Im also originally from the Bay area in California, thank you so much for sharing your testimony. I needed to hear this. Im 36 starting all over and in College & want to also study theology. When I get triggered I sometimes feel unworthy & like He cant use me anymore. Im still in my process.

We as kids have been threatened not to speak about out condition. So I can relate pretty well. My siblings went with the oppressive cycle but soon Jesus will shake it and make room for new life.

Pastor, you're really brave and genuine to talk about your traumas in the public. Unfortunately, so many of pastors ,prophets, and the church leaders in the church are projecting their traumas on the folk and abuse them spiritually, instead of accepting that they need healing, process their traumas and grieving. The church need to be trauma- informed to don't label the traumatized Christians as demonized. So many of behaviors that looks like a sin is Trauma. So many of pastors and leaders interpret the trauma as a demon , since they are not trauma- informed.

Whatever you may be facing right now, do know that a bad decision can wait. Rest. Rejuvenate. Rebirth. God bless all of you.

I was a very lost soul until two years ago. I had a very hard identity crisis. I didn't know who I was, what I was supposed to do, how I was supposed to act, what I was supposed to say. Then God just sent me his unending love until I gave in to his love. I gave my life to the Lord. I repented and started following him. Then I had a really bad depression. I was in a clinic for depression and now I know that my mother abused me psychologically and neglected me. It was very painful to find out and I was asking to myself, "why now?" Now I know that God knew I was going to have this identity crisis and depression so He called me to let me know He loved me and wanted to carry my pain and just help me go through this. I am in therapy now and I am grateful to the Lord for my progress. I am forever thankful to Him for saving me. He truly is the best Father there is.

I’m like half way through and I keep yelling in my mind “deliverance deliverance deliverance! Holy Spirit’s ministry!!”

Thank you for your testimony. Seems God led me to hear it today. I'm 59, still struggling with bipolar borderline personality disorder ptsd. Your testimony helped me to see.... First, I'm not the only one at this age struggling with mental illness due to a traumatic childhood and Second, surely God is with me and does have a plan for my life.

I'm still working on my emotional intelligence. I had a very violent childhood. I like him, just turned off those memories. Distraction was a tool used to avoid remembering those pains. Including ptsd from war as a young man. I prayed to God to have the ability to cry again. I was able to cry a little the other day sitting with the holy spirit. Just thinking of how God could love someone like me. Cannabis and alcohol were my medicine for years but I was convicted and gave them up recently. Now I'm dealing with anger and rage. I know it's God's plan for me to heal through this the right way.

This is a very important testimony. Many of us even after we meet Christ engage our minds and develop intellectually but leave our emotional health behind. And the church esp in other countries does not always embrace the idea of healing as a PROCESS. Strength and the appearance of strength are valued. But the reality is CHRIST IS THE ONE WHO IS STRONG. We indeed are weak. We indeed need His help. And healing does not come from simply declaring “I am healed!” Sometimes it does but sometimes a there is a process the Lord guides us through that deepens out dependence and our love for Him.

Thank you so much this is encourageing. I recieve counceling since 15 years and trauma therapy since 8 years. I grew up in a christian legalist cult, with a depressive mother and an alcoholic father. I see healing like less triggerpoints and so on but it is verry hard to stay patient and to go trough all the diffrent layers of pain.

My heart was with you as you shared your testimony so wonderfully and so well. I am so happy the Lord Jesus rescued you. One day, the evil and brokenness in this world will not be and we will be with our Precious Savior. I need Gods help to move forward i have blocks going on

I have PTSD im pretty sure although it’s never been diagnosed. I’ve always been a very neurotic, sensitive, emotional and impressionable person and thus I’ve been very easily traumatized over the years. I’ve been through some counseling that was supposed to help but didn’t seem to yield much. I’m at the point now that I’m just trusting Jesus that he’ll heal me of the stuff as time goes on as part of my relationship with him. Since he’s the great Counselor

I was diagnosed with cPTSD (complex) from layers of childhood trauma that was never addressed but this year (age 48) He led me to a trauma therapist and He used her to help facilitate some things in my life ❤ However, I started with Jesus, spending time, worshipping and being obedient, spending time with Him and making Him my everything ❤ Then, after He had me where He wanted me He led me to a therapist. Jesus and Therapy, in that order only ❤ Trust me, it work! I am healed and whole and have relationships again! I don’t feel odd anymore, I feel free and loved and connected ❤ Jesus can and will heal you but you have to surrender Everything so He can do what He can do only ❤

Only Jesus can put us back together! ❤️

I’m from anchorage. Jesus saved me and I’m struggling with the old temptations. I’ve been wondering if jezebel has invaded my mind again. I’m unsure if the pentecostal Church I am a part of is equipped to relate. How can people never exposed to darkness help people who have been in darkness their whole lives? How can people who say to just cling on more to Jesus and have never experienced cptsd severe depression suicidal thoughts relate or help someone who has and is dealing with those things despite being saved? Did Jesus actually save me because I have fallen into temptation again? Because I am weak? Or is this another opportunity for the glory of the lord to come through? I have faith in the Lord and I believe in His delivering power. Are there other people out there who have gone through what I am going through? Thank you for this interview. I pray that the Lord is healing me in Jesus’ name. I love you Jesus. Thank you for believing in me and never giving up on me.

I still have no healing. Accessing resources means that I have to be able to do something to heal myself. I know I can't do it. Only God can. God knows I don't need worldly resources. I only need him. The only reason I know I can't access resources that requires that I help myself is because God helps me when I can't help myself, not these worldly resources. I was on psychological medication for two years. I threw them in the bin. There was no withdrawing, I just got rid of them. my body went through withdrawal symptoms. I found it easier than dealing with staying on the medication. Mental Health treatment is not healing. God is our healer. psychiatry is modern day witchcraft and modern day sorcery. I now only take medications occasionally for physical issues not relating to Mental Health. Mental Health is spiritual, not a physical issue.
