ima be real, the only reason kido is hated is because ppl run away with it instead of getting close and combo with it, at least thats how i play with it fr, backing up makes it boring otherwise
I think arrancar kido with the abject would fit your playstyle more if you really had to play kido since some moves benefit more if you get closer and hit it like Cero Cyclone into a Bala Barrage
This also means it is a harder means of combat but in return, you are a jack-of-all-trades in terms of distance . If you’re looking for a more engaging Kido playstyle, ArrK is pretty fun
