Things I learned buying 2 holo tacos every other month for the last year (excluding polish mountain cremes because I will be purchasing that baddie for xmas) I do not prefer linear holos. I prefer all the other holos. Frosted metals are slept on but I understand why. Got fake date thinking ill give it a shot since I thought it was prettiest. Underrated af. Need to see in person. Still not intrested in cold shoulder. I think it was the blue/silver mix throwing me. Multichromes are beautiful and awe inspiring and I dont know how to incorporate them into nail art or anything not just straight multichrome nails. Will continue purchasing all shades. Chameleon coat IS villian vibes and slept on. Glossy taco gets used very fast but I wouldn't change it at all. We stan a thick lady that can smooth my mountainous mistakes. I use the wrong color shimmer or unicorn skin everytime. Color theory clearly isn't my strong suit. Sometimes very good sometimes very s***. Flakie holo taco is heaven sent and crucial in using up old 90s colors that get passed on to me. Especially to top those shades that never dry no matter what, revlon im looking at you, or get a chalky layer on top when they dry *stares intently at revlon* They are 2 coat polishes. I dont care what she says to cover herself advertising wise. They are 2 coat polish. They dry much faster then drugstore polish. Some drug store polishes I have to wait 30-60 minutes to dry. These dry so much faster. Its very rare that they arent dry when I check them in 20-30 minutes unless I went mountain climbing. The packaging. The polish *chefs kiss* but can we talk about the bottles? They fit all my nail polish racks. They look better stored together then any other brand I own stored together. The heavy base makes me less likely to knock them over and they look really cool. The square design helps to get to the very last drop of polish. My grandmother with no grip strength says the square and matte makes it easier for her to open the bottle instead of it sliding in her hands. I am keeping every empty to refill with other polishes with s***ier packaging. Cannot overstate how much I love these bottles. Got a nail file thinking ah what the heck and was very surprised how much more I like it for my natural nail then other nail files. Emory boards? The grit is just perfect. I won't be using other nail files on my nails again. I will be using all my other nail files now to Sawzall my press ons. Was very impressed after overlooking it for months "its just a over priced nail file" 🤡 That concludes holo taco review. I love these videos. They are incredibly interesting. The last video is what made me decide to stick to buying singles instead of collections because on top of not always having collection money or wanting the full collection I feel like my purchasing singles not only gets me exactly what I want or want to try but my tally mark feels like it means more seeing as I individually choose what I want and I like to feel my choices are being seen. Obviously they see the collections too but I dunno I just feel like my single buys matter more. They probably don't, i just feel self important 🤷‍♀️. The last video also encouraged me to buy things that were not doing very well that I had overlooked. I wouldn't never have bought fake date if i hadn't been considering how unlikable cold shoulder could be in person and now I like metals. I would not have known I wasnt a fan of linear had I not bought orange drink thinking what? Noone likes orange? I love orange! Imma get that polish. Poor little orange polish noone likes. *pretends lemon spritzer doesn't exist* the last video also let me know hey if you like those non purple multichromes you better buy them because even though they aren't on the chopping block yet they have potential to go there in future and you wanna grab them before that. I dont seem to have the same tastes as what most people are heavily buying or what most people are heavily voting for so I love seeing the analytics because it gives me an idea what to be buying next and what I can potentially put off buying for the next month or two and what colors in new releases to rush for and what will be more heavily stocked. For example magical mustache. I wanted that milk chocolate brown so bad and I thought no you need to wait until the end of the week when you get paid. If its gone its gone it just wasn't meant to be. How come magical mustache was the last to sell out? That was my first choice. Absolute first choice i could take or leave the others and I was shocked to see it all alone with the stickers. Well its got a loving home now. Poor thing. Moral of the story please keep doing this type of video. It influences my buying yes but as someone who loves outliers thanks for the heads up.

As a behavior data analyst, histograms are my favorite, but I use line graphs and scatter plots the most. Not a fan of pie graphs since they don’t give a great amount of information that I would need.

I participated in the survey and LOVED the questions. I also love the frosted metals formulas and own 5 of them. I can’t wait for another survey and another data stream. Here’s a possible survey question: I wonder what different color shifts would people like if they enjoy the multichrome formula.

Regarding blue preference, personally it’s my favorite color BUT it’s hard to find a blue shade that looks good on the hand. The color usually makes my hand look dead and gray (particularly the light and medium shades). Even some dark shades don’t look right.

If I had a higher paying job and a lot less hobbies I’d buy every collection that come out. I love your polishes formulas , and it helps that your the one that got me into painting my nails too.

I would definitely do a survey that compares responses from middle and top tier buyers. Are there any key differences in their buying habbits or preferences? Also, the "favorite colour" question was hard to answer in that "multi-coloured" could mean a variety of things. My first instinct was painting each nail a different colour. But would the holographic polishes (like the rainbow collections) be thought of as multi-coloured by some participants? I would classify the holos as their base colour, not multi-coloured. Finally, I was planning on building my own polish rack with one level for the bottle and one for the box for each tier. But if you were to release something (even a nice quality carboard) I would be intrigued.

People are sleeping on the frosted metals! But I understand, it's such a beautiful, glittery formula, but it doesn't show on camera how great it is. You have to see it irl to get it.

Love, Love, Love the data! Us old broads (over 25) have sh...tuff to do and cannot sit through your life streams. We replay at 2x speed which may skew your data. We also have jobs that afford us the advantage of purchasing $500 of nail polish in a year. This cuts into social media time. Would love to see analysis of sales by month. Do you have greater sales in March vs November? Box vs non-box. I would guess you are purchasing this data to determine when to drop product, but how does the purchased data compare to HT reality?

Ooh that Q about whether you wish you could release lone shades is good. Like are there Shades you would definitely want to look into releasing or making something if it was feasible to release one-offs or duos or something, but just haven't fit into collections or sets? I love that kind of question because it's like, it's not as if you necessarily have a specific color or formula in mind that you're just waiting on an opportunity to release. It's like imagining that you could release in a totally different way and it wouldn't matter about the metrics of how to Market one off Shades or something like that, what direction would your mind go in that you can't consider now just based on how production / the market works

I’m one of the royalty members who has all the Holo Taco things (except the og rainbow box. Seriously, Rona screwed up my whole collection. I can’t even find it on Ebay). Reasons for why I have all the things: 1. You’re the reason I know anything about nail polish other than “It looks pretty!” I’ve always loved polish, especially glitter, but I struggled with chips and smudges and didn’t have time to do my nails every day. So thank you for your education. I can now enjoy polish on my nails as well as in the bottle, lol. 2. You introduced me to indie brands, which living in the states and growing up in the 90s without internet was such a foreign concept. “You can buy things not in stores?!” I didn’t really know anything about how products got into retail/drug stores, that it was more expensive to go that route which led to cheaper quality products overall. It makes sense now, but I needed to learn about it in the first place, and that’s where you came in. So thanks. 3. You’re committed to quality. Not only did you teach me about base and top coats and other tricks like wiping the nail plate with acetone and wrapping the tip, but once I tried the indie brands you recommended and realized what a difference good quality polish makes versus drugstore brands, knowing that polish doesn’t have to be so difficult, I’m never going back. No more 7-10 coats for opacity and 3 days of dents and chips to dry. 4. I really respect your work ethic. 5. You’re videos always make me laugh in addition to being informative. Just all around leaves me feeling happy and ready to tackle the day. 6. I agree with and respect your support of basic civil rights, and I respect that you aren’t afraid to say those things. You don’t let making money get in the way of doing the right thing. 👏🏻👍🏻 7. You donate to charities, so by supporting you, I know my money is going toward a better world overall. 8. I love hanging out with you on streams when I can. You’re just fun to be around. :) 9. Your passion for your hobbies and work are infectious. 10. You don’t take advantage of your customers. For example, spacing out your launches. I really appreciate that you factor in that people need to buy other things. You give your fans time to get the resources to support you, unlike with big companies that just wanna bleed people dry. You make having a complete collection possible in the first place. There are prob more reasons, but basically I wanted to support your endeavors starting with the first collection and the quality was so good that I had to continue and now it’s a whole thing. I think Holo Taco is the only brand that I’ve turned into a collection. It wasn’t on purpose at first, but it’s something I plan to keep doing as long as I can and as long as the quality stays the same or better, so indefinitely. XD I like to gift some to my friends and fam so I spend more than I keep. It’s possible some HT Royalty have smaller collections because they gift a lot. While I do follow your socials and am in the discord, I don’t check it much. I’m working on my own projects and I find most of social media overwhelming and noisy. Introvert here, and while I like talking with people, it’s exhausting, so I really only check socials at my convenience. Most notifications stay off. I do like the texts and emails to let me know when a launch is scheduled so I can set my alarm, but otherwise I rely on your videos to get most info about Holo Taco. I wish you could have come out with the display rack sooner bc I just bought a few for my HT polishes, but I’m still gonna get the HT themed ones bc chances are the quality will be much better as has been the theme with everything else. So many beautiful rainbows need to be displayed properly. 😁 Aaaaand… it’s indigo, but if I had to pick purple or blue, it’s more blue. 😜 I do genuinely think that, graphic designer by trade so color is kinda my thing, but it is funny to see you get worked up about it. 😂 I hope you have a great week! Re: social media. Your biggest age demo in this survey is millenials, and I find that most millenials I know are very fatigued by social media groups. I only have a handful that I'm in nowadays and none of them are brand-related. No shade, I love Holo Taco, but I'm not gonna hang out and talk about it all day. 🤷

So what I gathered from this video is I should be getting ready for a holo taco display stand🧐 and the “is midnight spark blue purple or blurple” debate has surely reached a totally not forced conclusion. IMO, it’s an indigo (aka blurple) that’s leaning more towards blue 😅🤣

I have to say that I would answer these questions slightly different depending on manicure or pedicure. I love varying colors on my hands (mainly black), but really only like red or pinks on my toes. Not sure if I'm an outlier on different preferences for different nails.

questions specific to holo taco nail polishes: - why do you choose halo taco over other brands? (quality, bc Cristine is cool, etc.) - do you reorder the same nail polish? (shade, color, type, etc.) - how often do you buy nail polish? (weeks, months, DAYS??) - what type of nail polish do you see yourself buying in the future?

1st: love well done witty statistics videos. It’s fascinating. Not being sarcastic either. 2nd: bring on the cremes!!! I understand why you have been hesitant. Inexpensive and easy to make, not a challenge. And you like a challenge. But I love pastels ;). A lot of cremes out there are streaky, or dry poorly. Or don’t last long. As a pastel lover, I’d love some high quality cremes. And if you can incorporate a faint unicorn shimmer of some sort, all the better. Not surprised reds tanking. Red was popular with older generations because it was bold, yes, but also because there really weren’t many other choices. Everything, for the most part, was a shade of red or pink. And typically, the next generations don’t want to follow their moms style. Nobody wants to be told they look just like their mother ;)

Frosted metals is my favourite formula. I think holo royalty love them because they own a lot of polishes so they've gotten to try them. Cus you can't not love it if you see it IRL! I really hope more people will pick it up and try to to see the magic, i love them so much ❤️

I hope you do this survey again in the future because I am Holo Royalty and never got it :( I heard y'all mention in on Simply Podlogical a few weeks ago and emailed customer support immediately about it and I now got survey #2 so it appears to be fixed going forward but I was/am very disappointed to not be able to participate in this one as I am a huge fan (I've bought everything (minus some of the base coat varieties) and then some and own every collection box) and an engineer that loves data :(

I also love the frosted metals! Honestly those and the glitters are my favorite because I feel like they last longer than the linear holos (which I still love though). Was sad when cold shoulder was discontinued, at least I got one before then! I hope I can make it last haha

I am so interested in the display racks because the ones I have now are a slightly weird size for HT bottles. They’re just ever so slightly too short for 10 bottles across and it bugs me and I know you’ll make it fit perfectly

I’m just getting into data analysis (I have a BA in math, so trying to go into the field, but need to learn some specifics first like SQL, pivot tables, Tableau etc). So watching the data streams/videos is incredibly fun for me! It’d be cool to see an even more detailed video about what data managing, analysis, and presentation tools are your favorite and most used. I’ve heard of the most common ones like Excel, R, Python, SQL, Tableau. But are there any other things that are more niche that you love to utilize? Would love to hear about that either on a stream or on a podcast :) Plus, data analysis is a hot market at the moment with thousands of vacant positions, so maybe some of your fan base would be inspired to try it out? 🤔

I think it'd be good to ask if people would be willing to pay a yearly subscription price for free shipping throughout the year. I know I at least hate having to wait for the next collection release to get more super glossy taco b/c I don't want to pay shipping. Or if we could pay a flat rate to get base and top coats sent automatically throughout the year. I'd totally be up for paying like $150 for a bottle of super glossy taco to be delivered monthly.

Ive heard that the Metals formula is actually very very good!! namely it has a good particle size.

Midnight spark isn't purple or blue, it's indigo, which is directly between the two, though generally is read as a blue, because it's the primary color, and easier to see in most cases.
