One hack I can recommend, especially for expensive countries like Scandinavian ones, is to stealth camp. It requires carrying along some camping gear but if you go ultralight this won’t be too bothersome.

@@christiangee942 it’s camping outside at night without being detected. Although in Scandinavia there are no legal repercussions of doing this as every man has a right to camp/sleep outside, an ancient right know as Allemansratten.

@@FreeWheat true in Denmark. There you would have to do more stealth camping but in Norway, Iceland and Sweden you can camp just about anywhere as long as its not 150 meters within a person’s house.

That mother and son duo is so fun to watch as a Dane! The mother keeps telling the boy in Danish “Ask him where is from” “you should follow him on TikTok” “Wow, it’s cool meeting a RU-vidr huh?” And so on. She is such a mom type and the danglish accent is just a cherry on top!

I would love to visit Nordic countries but I will not be able to afford to do it like holidays but as a vagabond yes lol, can’t imagine sleeping outside in winter time Danemark I slept in south France last winter was a bit hard but in Danemark I would die
