Thank you all so much for the lovely support I get in all my videos 🙏🏼 I hope you enjoyed this one, I certainly had fun putting it together for you 🥰 I genuinely would like to know, though - Are you considering a switch from Android to Apple? Have a great day 🙏🏼
My son and his family are an "Apple family." For Father's day, I gave him a zfold 5. For educational purposes , as Apple has no foldables and their state of Ai only being limited to the 2 latest top tier models. ....He was and is extremely happy and going to use his Apple as a backup. ....maybe I can get him to subscribe?😊
I recently spent 3 weeks in Italy and I took so many nice photos with my 15 Pro Max, especially when I was in the Dolomites and I used ProRaw on the main lens. Man, those photos look amazing when they pop up on my tv screensaver.
I think both ecosystems have gotten good enough that it’s splitting hairs or very specific use cases. For me, just the integration between my devices (phone, watch, laptop, iPad) would be hard to replicate and take too much effort in an android / other ecosystem. I enjoy the tech, but too busy to have to figure our piecing together the alternatives - even if they offer some incremental benefit individually.
I 1000 percent t agree with this! At this point, the only thing I care about on Android that I feel iOS needs to add is split screen multitasking and pause video. All the other stuff is getting way to far in the weeds of tech and no one will switch from on or the other for any of it. I would also add that if iPhone gets those to features, it may be the best all around phone on the market! I say that because various Android phone do different things well, but not one does it all well.
@@AlexGTech Come on, you're not being truthful. You're clearly a man of good taste and know the iPhone is a way better product. Android can do most of the things it can do, but does it in a shitty way. The entire Android experience is bland, uninspiring, and dull. It's also the subtle details and refinement of the iPhone that makes all the difference. It's one thing to use Android because you have to, and another thing to use it because you want to. You might, for instance, drive a Honda Civic because it's the company car, but you'd be a fool to say it's as good as a Lexus. Most people who use Android don't care about their phone. It just happened to be the best deal they could get. The vast majority of people who switch to the iPhone regret not buying one sooner.
@@Aggie4life77 Split screen multitasking on a iPhone? The screen is too small to make it an essential feature. As far as pausing video, not sure what you're talking about. If you remove the AirPods from your ears, for instance, the video or music would pause and continue when you put it back on.
This was really helpful. I got my first iPhone a year after they first launched, and I've stayed with them ever since. But they have seemed to lag behind other newer phones in many areas and I was wondering if I should switch. My iPhone 13 Pro is like new. My iPad gets more use. And, because they're linked, I even make and take more calls on the iPad during a work day. However, I am really unhappy that they aged my iPhone out of the AI features I just bought my iPad Pro 11 M4 for. Plus, because I keep them linked, switching to a different brand phone adds another negative on top of those you described. I'll be getting back into content creation soon and you've given me some things to think about. Thanks for the video.
Thank you, glad this was useful! Yeah the 13 Pro range is probably what I'd still be on if I wasn't making these reviews. And agreed, typical Apple to not launch AI features on those, despite them being more than capable
I’ve gone back and forth between Android and iOS, there are major pluses and minuses for each, both software and hardware wise. Personally I prefer Android at the minute but my biggest blockage for staying on Android is my friends and family are 99% on iPhones. Add in that we have Apple TV at home and HomePods so as much as I try I generally end up reverting to iPhone. This is the power of the Apple Walled Garden. Love it or hate it iPhones are excellent as is my S23 Ultra. But given I use my phone mainly for personal and social use I’m back on an iPhone 15 Pro Max. Let’s see how long I stay.
I'd find it hard to give up all the cool things of the Galaxy devices. It's a luxury to be able to use both but if I wasn't making these videos I'd probably still have a S21 Ultra or perhaps a 13 Pro Max...
I've been using Samsung flagships for 7 years straight. Switched from S23U (after 10 months of waiting for software updates to "fix" things on S23U, very clever, right?) to Iphone 14 Pro Max. Mainly because of terrible camera experience on Samsung, but there were many other problems noone mentions, too (like very weak vibration - a lot of missed calls and notifications, unpredictable battery life, wifi connection problems...). The only regret is I didn't do it earlier. Iphone feels and works like finished product, which is what I can't say for "yeah, we'll fix it with updates" Samsung devices. They are riding wave of old glory (last real flagship was Note9), but considering what competition on Android side has to offer - they can't do that forever. All youtube hype and marketing aside, if you look around, you really can't see many people using Samsung flagships anymore.
Almost all reviews say how good the cam on the S24U is but in real the normal cam is often very noisy, oversharpening and also white balance to „blueish“. All say its best display (yes anti reflection there is a game changer) but viewing angles are one of the worst, color calibration also. Maybe there are Androids (vivo x100 pro?) that have a better cam then iphone 15 pro max but at least is so consistence. Point and shoot without worries. Like Alex mentioned in the Video
@@sviraci yeah, Samsung phones have so many problems these days. Speakers are not so good, too. So, bad camera, display problems, hollow sound, weak vibration... I mean, this phone is light years away from being "the best money can buy".
Same here. My worst regret was getting the s22 ultra Exynos version on release. Unreliable battery and performance, I sold it after 18 months of use and got the iPhone 15 pro max for £50 cheaper than the Samsung but miles better in pretty much every aspect. I regret not returning the Samsung for a full refund back then.
I don't know... For me the S21U, S23U and even now the S24 Ultra have been incredible devices. Videos, photos and all the extra functionality we get on those devices really make they seem good value for money. Okay the battery on S24U hasn't been amazing and there are issues in the 50/200MP modes but the display, the photos and video quality do make it a more rounded device for my use.
Here comes something from left field. I'm convinced that with all this camera development, nuanced tweaks, and hype , that for my purposes a 3 year old phone would suffice. So when i wanted something different n special, i got an Ulephone 18T ultra. Now , that's different with Flir camera n huge battery n RADIO - offline , no internet required.....yes the camera is like finger painting stick figures but art for art sake lets you realize differences and measure your tastes.
Excellent video! I appreciate your honesty. I tried- honestly and truly tried multiple iphone & ipad models. There's just too many annoyances. Apple is too overpowered/overcontrolling with what they think you want (and are allowed) to do with your device. Even autocorrect is overpowered with the iphone. There were notifications that I was not able to turn off. Even notifications for shortcuts that I told the phone to run. I don't need a notification for that! Just do what I told you to do! The phone was like "HEY! Remember that thing you told me to do? I just did it!" Yes, the unethical thing of them overcharging for apps is downright filthy! I don't use social media, and the green bubble thing has absolutely ZERO value for me. Apple tries, but it's not good enough for me. I bought an unlocked Motorola for $150 in January and enjoy using it much more than the last iphone I had.
Hi Alex I look forward to your videos. Looks like you are enjoying some nice summer weather there now finally :-) I looked at Ilhabela, you mentioned to me. Looks like a beautiful place, thanks🌴☀️🙏
Despite the title of the video I knew you would not have switched back to using your iPhone 15 Pro Max as your main phone and daily driver. Android has a strong grip on you!
@@AlexGTech I don't think much will change. Apple Intelligence will be the main upgrade, although one could either buy the iPhone SE 4 when it comes out in Spring of 2025 or NOT upgrade if you have the iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max and get Apple Intelligence. I have a feeling the 16 won't sell as much as the 15 has.
A parte que eu fico feliz é que eu estou te acompanhando exatamente nos mesmos passos... hehehehehe... pensando seriamente em voltar pro Iphone e pesando tudo o que vou perder.
Battery is one thing I'm curious wtf happened with Apple. Now I'm currently using an s24, but I've always used the recent iphones when they released as well and it's so weird cause the 14 pro max and 15 pro max battery are garbage compared to the 13 pro max and all others that came before.
Looks like this video was only made to push a casetify ad. The charge cycles isn’t too far off from mine and I’ve used it as my only phone since launch day.
So you think I spent weeks filming and late nights and weekends of editing just so I could fit in a 90 sec ad? okay... Regarding the battery cycles, it really depends on how you use your phone, if you charge it to 80-90% and don't let it get below 30% your cycles will be better. But if you look at the actual usage you can clearly see the iPhone is collecting dust.
I tried going back to iPhone from a Samsung fold. I will be back with the fold when it launches next month. The iPhone is nice, but not for me anymore.
I’m using an iPhone after giving it another try last winter and I’m ready to come back to Android which I will at the beginning of August with the S24 Ultra. I’m excited about the iOS 18 update but in the end it will still be missing the little things. No built in clipboard. No separate system and notifications ringtones(when I have music turned up on my Bluetooth and get notifications, my eardrums pay for it)But anyway not going to rant here, I’ve enjoyed both platforms but Android is home still. Apple is quickly closing the gap.
It's important we don't get ourselves caught in an OS war. I've certainly been guilty of that but have learned my lesson: they are just companies making a product. Feel free to buy whatever you like, whenever you like, and to change at will. We are just the customers. We are not the company or OS so we shouldn't squabble over who uses what or which is better. Same with cars. I might be a Porsche fan but I also like Ferrari's and many other cars. What is it to you which car I like or buy? At the end of the day competition is good and if it means the products improve, all the better for us as customers.
Absolutely, couldn’t have said it better myself! I love that I can share my passion about tech and my experience with one or another without feeling like I am being disloyal or whatever. Like you said, we should be ok to change at will and use what works best for us
Just got my Iphone 15 pro max a few days ago on the 19th. I am still keeping my android phone. I have always been using android. Tbh I am not using my 15pro max as much as I am with my android when I first got it and my current cycle count since I got it is 3 as it's fairly new. I am still getting used to the ios thing since I still have my older iphone 11 which was given to me as a gift w/c I also didn't use as much lmao. Also idk if it's just me but the 15 pro max is quite heavy to the hand especially with a case haha, not sure how it compares to the weight of 14pro max though I know that one is heavy too since my workmate has it and tried weighing it with my hand. I am using my iphone as my daily driver now so I can learn all about the ios and been checking on tips and tricks and stuff and what other things I can do with it that I don't know about. I'll keep both android and ios.. No reason to keep switching.
Sometimes a change is all we need. these are just tools at the end of the day, but I do understand their importance, considering they are pretty much with us for most of the day. And yes, it's a beefy phone for sure. I am thinking maybe I will just downsize like I did a couple of years ago. I just wish they still made the Mini...
@@AlexGTech That is true.. I thought to myself maybe just the pro version was indeed the right size for me at least. Just go with whatever suits you and w/c OS you prefer more. The mini was indeed a comfortable size .
It’s more of what’s better for your lifestyle and your personal ecosystem. iOS is slowly becoming more open source, but restrictive. I have both Samsung and Apple! I’ve had google, its benefits over the other two platforms aren’t enough to make me go back permanently. I’d by google as a second backup, but not as a permanent solution. OnePlus fold is a contender, but my fold 4 is fine.
Absolutely! I loved my Fold 4, had no complaints really. Well, the only shame.was the value drop after one year 😢 but my Fold 5 is still going strong too and I love using it. When the dust settles with these reviews the Fold is the one I go back to
I'm going to upgrade my Note10 plus aura this year. I love it but I see it starting to slow down and battery life is horrible. I'm thinking of waiting for the Iphone16PM to come out before I make my decision. I'm thinking between Iphone16PM and the S24 Ultra. I'd definitely like to see a comparison video when the Iphone 16PM comes out 😄
Absolutely! Will be comparing that for sure. The 15 Pro or Pro Max will be a good buy I think if you want to move to iOS, but definitely wait if you can, because the prices will come down and hopefully the battery on the S24U will improve too
I’ve used. Both android and iPhone. I have the S24 ultra and a 13 pro max. I like the S24 but I still prefer the iPhone. I trust the iPhone way more than I do the S24. The iPhone just always work. However updates on androids crashes after about year with updates. Why can’t android release update for each phone instead of one update for all their phones. Apple does updates and the updates are personally tested on every model. Not to mention all the problems I have with my s24
I agree that some of the updates could be better but I also appreciate that to enjoy the different form factors and sheer functionality (S-Pen, Dex, shutter button on Xperia, etc.) there can’t be a single update. Apple has a simpler update setup but that’s because they control the hardware and let’s face it, there’s not much to change as the devices have been pretty similar for a long time. I just installed iOS18 prior to uploading this video (developer Beta) and I am pretty underwhelmed by it. I hope the AI features will bring some life back to the iPhone but I personally probably just need a break from it
like as every update from apple didnt bring any issue, right? how many iphones did you have? how many times do you exchange for a newer one? you don´t know what you´re talking about. How many modes of iphone have major issues on updates? You know? just search a little bit man! you´re just kidding. I had all models of iphone since the iPhone 3gs, and exchange very frequently with android flagships When i got the S23 Ultra, it convince-me not to exchange for a period of 1 year. And when i upgraded to S24 Ultra, i didnt want to back to the old borred iOS. I can agree with the diferences in photos and videos, but the rest? NOPE!!! not even tried the 15 Pro Max and not the next iPhone 16 Pro Max.
@@nunovascolopes8915 nope my iPhone has never crashed from an update nor does it slow it down. Let’s not forget about how android sends video over text. Androids have those nice camera but when you send a video in text it looks like a 4 dollar camera
iPhone being more stable and apps working better are some of reasons why I stay with iPhone at least for now and keep my S24 ultra as a secondary phone
I think this was a precursor to coming back to Apple no problem. As you might know I have been down that road a few times myself but looking at what's coming with Apple and the way they do things is going to be hard not to come back.
Absolutely… Not to mention some of the hardware features we get like S-Pen, the form factor choice (love my Fold!) and in some cases, sheer video and photo quality like we get on Xperia devices. Apple does have a nice integration ecosystem and when it works, it’s quite satisfying.
Only been using the Sony for two weeks. My main device is the S24 Ultra right now. I think I will give the foldables another go soon and try the iPhone again later this year.
I use my S24 Ultra as the main Whatsapp device, then web whatsapp on the browser on Mac and PC and on my Xperia at the moment. The iPhone has no whatsapp setup at the moment but when I was using it, I just added as a 'connected device'
I do like both but I cannot stand the Samsung keyboard lol I don’t know why, but I love the iPhones MUCH better. Plus it’s more the Apple Watch and AirPods that keep me with iPhone. Both are terrific phones though
I have the iPhone 15PM and the S24U and it's not even close. The S24U is for adults whilst the iPhone everyone else. Apple really were onto something but I feel they've shot themselves in the foot. I'm happy living my Samsung life!
Can you get OnePlus 12 , because it has some of the best display in its category and the new 3x telephoto camera . How does it performs and the new Dolby vision hdr video recording . Does it make sense to buy . Over iPhone 15 pro or s24 ultra . Love from India ❤️....
I have all the phones you mentioned. S24 Ulta Cam noisy and oversharpening, s24 Ultra great anti reflection display but bad viewieng angles. OP 12 is mostly better but sometimes in low Light indoor too warm. Biggest Problem on OP12 is stuttering in chrome browser and auto brightness issues
Thank you, that's a great idea 🙏🏼 am looking at Oppo, Xiaomi and OnePlus this year so will definitely keep you updated here. Thanks so much for watching 🇮🇳 🥰
Oh wow!! I actually envy you! Sometimes a change is all we need and using the iPhone for the first time is special for sure. I got bored with it but don’t listen to people like me 😂 for the right use case, the iPhone can be great
Those two people on the bench totally ignored a grown man jumping on a bench and dropping a phone. We live in strange times. I think I’d be happier if they made the Nokia 7110 in a 5G and I could just dump smart phones. I don’t really need one.
😂 I did tell them beforehand, don’t think they cared. I was in central London to be fair so I am sure they’ve seen weirder things. And I share the sentiment sometimes, by the way, and discuss that in one of my next videos. I miss the simpler days of not being attached to a device
@@AlexGTech What i do is i always charge the battery till 80% and everytime if possible put the phone ok charging once it has reached 35-40%, i also take the phone out of the case while charging
Hey alex 🎉 Did the same after selling the horrible half baked S24 Ultra. Man o man I'm enjoying the smooth experience of iPhone 15 pro max, lighter weight, rounded edges, monstrous battery Carplay and many others aspects of iPhone are simply better.
It’s certainly a beast and 100% the best iPhone in recent years. I can’t really fit it in my current setup but I have had some times when I thought maybe I should just move back to a single ecosystem
What was it about the S24 Ultra you didn't like? Genuinely interested as I have a S24 Ultra but have the option to switch to an iPhone 15 Pro Max and would appreciate your thoughts, thanks!🙏🏼
Waiting for 16 pro to see if it’ll be worth to upgrade from 13 pro max, given my use case. Honestly AI on my S23U is enough. AI on iPhones is not that different as of now i feel.
Switch του whatever excites you the most to use for business or fun. I personally have an S 24 ultra for my work and an iPhone 15 pro for personal use. I think I will switch to something more pleasant. The thing is that I wouldn't say I like iOS 18 from what I saw. except for my mac, I will soon say goodbye to boredom I am thinking of something like a z flip I fancy it. Another great video sending greetings from Greece.
Oh wow, Greece!! Thank you so much 🙏🏼 and I agree, that is the best approach really, pick a device that works for you and make the most of it. Hard to pick a 'bad' or wrong phone these days
For me, s24 ultra is much better than any iphones now, im using s24 ultra and dont want to come back to Iphone 16 series cause i used iphone 15 plus before it was not good as i expected, iphone's wifi connection is very weak 😢
i had this phone a couple of months ago, the hardware side is really good, but sadly the software and operating system is utter trash coming from android. The camera was OK, But the random oversharpening and overall quality was sub-par for a 'flagship' phone. The worst thing tho was the operating system, it's just terrible, amaturish - Apple must sort out the download/airdrop system as it's utterly backwards and broken. They need to fix google drive implementation within the files app and fix the countless bugs and design quirks. As for the apps. Only a handful were decent - but some apps are watered down versions from there Android counterparts. The final nail in the apple coffin for me was AI. Us wise humans know it's just automated algorithms. As for the battery life, it was pretty decent - but at random times, certain apps would transform it to budget phone levels with around 6-7hrs of depletion. Sorry, but it's just not a flagship. The 'max' part of the name doesn't even hold truth as the pro has better processing power and the plus model has better battery. Apple MUST do better, fix there bugs, sort there stupid app store out by removing the clone, digital begging apps..Overall it's just a terrible experience with decent hardware.
I switched from 15 Pro Max to S24 Ultra, now I’m back to 15 Pro Max again, why? Because iPhone is just so much more reliable and not glitchy like Android, I am so glad to be back! ❤
that's a lot of change!! Man, I stress out just thinking about my banking apps and authenticators. I do get that the iPhone has been stable. To be fair so has the S24 Ultra - my main issue has been battery on the S24U. Hoping the latest update (just installed today) will fix that
I agree in general... But Android has come a long way... And way ahead features wise .... I'm not sure if you've tried OnePlus 12..... I would think that barring charging speeds s24 ultra is a great phone w r.t. other Androids ..... And barring videos and the extra smoothness in operation I would still rate the s24 U better than 15 pro max.... I do have both .... So I am not a hater of anything
@@AlexGTech oh I get that completely, it is a pain setting everything up again especially at my old age! lol Both great phones to be fair, most woman like shoes and handbags, I’m more in to tech. I’d be interested to know which phone you use the most as your daily driver Alex? 🙂
In certain situations the iPhone is actually better and more intuitive. The Sony can be the best but you'd have to know the Pro settings intimately. The S24U can also take some incredible shots and even the S24 Plus at times can be better than all of these. I think it's hard to say one is better or worse, they are all incredible in their own ways
Oh dear! I hope you let her win sometimes, for the sake of your marriage 😂 On a serious note, I think both have merits but for me the S24U is just a more complete package. The fact I can whip out the S-Pen and edit a photo in Adobe Lightroom on my phone still blows my mind
@@AlexGTech phones will basically all fuction the same soon enough. I chose samsung over apple because of customization and their customer support. I know to many people that have had refusal of repairs to their devices from apple because of the devices age and it is always some crazy reason. Just them forcing people to update.
@AlexGTech Sir, there is no major upgrade coming to the iPhone 16 series, which is why the iPhone even number series is usually a flop whereas the odd numbers are a blockbuster. I am looking forward to the iPhone 17 series. It's sad that Thunderbolt ports are not coming to the 16 pro phones
Oh 😢 I love them. I know what you are referring to, and I shared my views on that in my case reviews previously. Things happen in business, and it’s how you recover, and how you behave that shows character. It’s easy for me to say as they are a channel partner, but so are dbrand, who themselves made some serious mistakes in the past, but are also doing some great things like helping out Jonathan Morrisson (TLD). I appreciate you sharing your views though, I respect that
