It's a dressed up 2020. Which is to say very nice but if the idea was to leapfrog the TR-X this falls way short.... at least for now. Not a fanboy, I don't love either brand. Haha

Seems like it would be more cost efficient to go with a universal frame option that accommodates the 37 inch spare, instead of having 2 different frames that differ only in the space of the spare tire. And if someone did get a 35 tire truck and later wanted to put 37s , they would know a 37 spare could fit regardless. And don't want to be forced to get a luxury pkg just to get 37s,, it came off as the only way to get 37s on it factory is in a lux pkg, im a minimalist in my gen 1, I like the offroad hardware equipment without all that luxury nonsense I don't need/will never use. But I enjoy my 37s.

Thanks for asking about customers who go with the 35 but decide later to upgrade to 37's. Seems silly that they have two frames, more expensive for them and limiting to their customers...

This is the only video I can find that properly explains the differences between the 37 package and 35, so many people think they can just slap on 37s to a stock 35

Suspension?...its a go...motor?...to be announced...:-(. If its much more fuel efficient than the TRX then lower hp would/may be acceptable. Its still a major kick butt truck.

I love the new raptor, BUT still no v8😪. I've been to a few offroad races and have yet to hear a trophy truck with a v6🤨.

I don't understand why everyone is so sour about the V8. I wish Ford would tune the V6 to achieve better HP/TQ or utilize the PowerBoost platform. As an owner of the Gen2, I love that it still feels light and nimble for a truck of its size.

Excellent interview. Great presentation. You can tell this guy is proud of what he and his team have done. I have now heard several times from Ford personnel that they used Trophy Trucks as an inspiration for design. As he said. Very few people will ever be able to utilize the full potential of this truck, but it is there for those who have the skill to take it there.

Did they re gear for the 37” version? If yes, I must have missed that in the video. Maybe it doesn’t need it, but when trucks go to 37s it usually is helpful to get the punch back. Maybe the HP/TQ is enough to mitigate the drivetrain loss.

I mean I’m not mad but I’m disappointed I was really hoping for that 5.2 Supercharged V8 , but overall I love how they made this new raptor a bit more square ish and finally switched to coil overs instead of leaf springs managed to stuff 37’s from factory live active shocks , but the only thing that’s missing is that V8

Put a V8 in it already

The nice thing about Ford is they actually do the correct R&D for their specialty products before putting them out. They don’t just throw a supercharged motor in and say we are the best.

As a happy 2nd Gen Raptor owner and even though I get 430miles per 26 gallons in city driving, my question is...When is the fully electric Raptor coming out? Getting tired of these constantly rising gas prices....Thanx for the Video..Stay Safe

Way better then the TRX it probably has 550 hp but that doesn't even matter its more capable off road

Why not put the same rear frame on all Raptors where Fords customers can put a 37" on at anytime..... Answer: So we can power play you into spending more on the bundled 37" package. Lame

The truck styling is very nice.

I'm saving up. By the time it comes out I should have a pretty good amount to put towards a new truck.

If they really cared about what the consumer wanted then they would've come out swinging with the Predator V8. I will always buy a Ford as long as they have a V8 option, but Ram really knocked it out of the park (Powerplant Wise). Everything else between the Raptor and TRX goes to Ford except the powerplants. Then again I am a little biased because I am a die-hard V8 guy. Just my opinion on it.

Ford: look at all the work we did to give the truck better suspension and make it more capable! It fits 37’s stock and it’s way tougher now! Ram: okay so we did a lot of stuff to this truck but that’s not really that important, what is important is that hellcat truck go brrrrrrr

Raptor sticker & exhaust amplified in the cab is ridiculous. $ 100k vehicles from Ford, Benz & BMW mfg should be embarrassed amplified engines sounds.

Not a fan of the new headlight and taillight design. The Gen 2 looks more robust in my opinion. I really like that they made a 37 model, switched from leaf spring to 5 link and the bigger screen inside is nice. Also not a fan of the shifter. Overall, I like it.

Ford beat Ram with this truck. The fact that Ford is giving us the option with engines is a huge advantage! The majority of buyers will not be able to afford the V8. I’m perfectly happy with getting the V6 and it also allows me to get what I want due to my budget.

Looks like a 2021 Gen 1. I still remember seeing my first ever Raptor, it was Black. I saw the grill and was blown away.

I appreciate a 37" tire fitting under the truck but it's upsetting that they didn't just make the frame for all new Raptors accommodate 37" spare.

A good solution would be bring back the 300 inline 6 and twin turbo it, would outlive the ram, make more tq than the v6 and v8, be much much more offroad capable because who know how much torque a properly built twin turbo 300 would make below 1600 and up

This guy hasn’t improved his interview skills over the time. Not prepared, not good questions, overall he needs to step his game up. I think he’s a nice guy. But as a viewer I expect more from him. For how many vlogs he has done. I expect more from him. For example I can regurgitate the brochure. He could ask deeper questions into each feature. Like the new suspension. We know the specs. But try ask the duration, temps, road tests, etc etc. Just don’t go off the brochure. I can read the brochure. Ask the engineer questions that you can’t get on the brochure. Stay away from the talk story buddy buddy type of interview. One of the reasons why I stayed away from the channel. Nothing against the guys. But go further than the brochure.

America is V8. but in the real dirt world having the power with out the weigh is better. having a big HP V-8 and the weight with out all the suspension work is just a grocery getter with bragging. I am an old dirt bike guy and in the parking lot people talked smack about their 400 cc. but out on the track the light 125cc were faster. so do you want to TALK about going fast or do you want to GO FAST.

Funny how the most sentence used in the video was "So we listened to the Raptor Customer"... However, they actually did not listen at all... We asked for as V8... but they gave us a new exhaust and bigger tires... Interesting...

I don’t care what his title is. He couldn’t explain clearance of a 37 inch tire. Pencil pusher. It sounds good... I wasn’t there but my guy says it’s good. Stuff like that makes me not trust this guy one bit.

That ford manager is a very impressive person. He speaks with passion and authority. Im soooo glad Jamal Hameedi has left Ford. We despise Hameedi in Australia he designed the Ranger Raptor and put a 2 litre 4 cylinder engine in it. Hameedi was an absolute clown with no regards to what us Aussie wanted.

We need Supercab. Now I'm not considering Raptor at all. It's funny when he said its customers preference. In the middle east where we drive over sand dunes its essential to have shorter length vehicles, otherwise u well stuck frequently. Also, most of raptors on the street are supercab!

Are you sure a CT Transmission is adequate for this type of power. People are coming aware CVT transmissions are junk, used in small cars. Any feedback?

Who designed this shit , I really don’t like the headlamp cluster, design wise I definitely go for the last generation. It was more futuristic design and more macho .
