im an addict in recovery from philadelphia and the day this video came out i was celabrating getting to 2 years of continous sobriety for the first time in my life and a big part of what gave me the motivation a few chapters i read in mikes book it just confirmed some things i already belived would help me be successful and if your reading this and in active addiction just know it doesnt matter how bad things are you can fix it.

I too am a recovering dope fiend ( dec 23 2000) but after years of joy and happiness thanks to the good ‘ol 12, my mind and spirit has been on a steep decline, since discovering I had CTE from multiple traumatic brain injuries. The struggles with depression and “ending it all thoughts” consume the better part of my life. But your positivity, endless reaffirmations, and your genuine love of life has allows me to break free of my chains, more and more often lately. I am starting to see a faint light in this infinite darkness. For that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
