If these UAP's were from Russian or Chinese origin you can bet the farm we would all be speaking Russian or Chinese by now. The only explanation that makes any sense is that they are of extraterrestrial origin. Indeed the Russians and Chinese have had similar sightings of UAP's. I rest my case.

My Guess is, that these things are Earth Bound or native to our planet but probably have an equally fantastic explanation just as alien theory does. I used to watch an old tv show in 80s, 90s with richard glenn, esoterisme experimental, they talked of intraterrestrials, mb they were on to something. Sure felt weird at the time, but now who knows.
I have seen these objects at very close range on three separate occasions, three different types, no sound or lights on first two, actually saw and heard the third land, a whoosh explosion then a high pitched whirring noise that lasted circa twenty seconds, no lights but it revolved like a top. First two were blood red colour, last one was blackish gun barrel. Have seen Aliens twice, not little green men, but look similar to us in stature, this phenomenon in my opinion has a paranormal element, and in my experiences always leaves behind a signature straight from science fiction, unbelievable. Perhaps some branch of physics and other time space dimensions could possibly explain the origins of this mystery sometime. Going to stick my neck out and declare none of these things have ever crashed anywhere, governments playing games.

The idea that the US has fallen behind in aerospace technology is a very real possibility given past history. The US has ALWAYS fallen behind during peacetime and had to catch up once a conflict reveals this fact. Take for example aircraft. the Wright brothers invented the airplane in 1903, but by WW1 in 1914 the US had fallen so far behind the Europeans that when the US entered WW1 in 1917 we had to buy fighters from the British and the French because we could not even manufacture the aircrafts. Even after catching up and surpassing the Germans and Japanese at the end of WW2, the US found itself once again having fallen behind during the Korean War when the Soviet Mig-15 was encountered and found to be superior in speed, acceleration, maneuverability, climb, and service ceiling. The only thing that kept US aircrafts from being massacred was because of the superior training and that US fighter pilots were veterans of WW2 or trained by veterans of WW2. Probably the most poignant example is rocketry: we all learned in school that the Apollo space program was realized in large part due to German scientists such as Werner von Braun who were recruited after the end of WW2, but many people don't know that the Germans based their research and development on an American scientist who pioneered rocketry, Dr. Robert Goddard, whose work was all but forgotten by America. He is acknowledged today as the Father of Modern Rocketry and that is why NASA named their space flight center, the Goddard Space Flight Center.

The problem with time travel is the many paradoxes that come with it: For example, let's say the UFO guys are really our descendants from the far future. They came down and abducted you but they didn't know that you are their great, great, great, great , great grandfather. And because they abducted you, you missed the chance to meet a girl who would've been their great, great, great, great, great grandmother. Since you never got together with her, they were never born. Well, if they were never born, how could they come back in time to abduct you? Do you see the problem with time travel? A simpler explanation is that they came from some other planet. Now, they may have to manipulate gravity (hence time) to do so. But they can't come from a different time.

Your opening sentence about it being improbable that Earth has been visited be extra terrestrials says a lot (you seem close minded). The universe is so vast that it seems likely to me there are probably numerous forms of intelligent life on other planets. Some might be less evolved and some might be more evolved than others. If one race of extra terrestrials was older than us presumably their tech would be way ahead of us, perhaps even a million years ahead. It would surely be possible such a race could explore the universe in a way humans currently cannot. If you try to say it's not possible to travel faster than light etc and they wouldn't be able to make the trip, I would say, who says our physics is correct? I've seen a red triangle about the size of a baseball field. It was about 1 mile altitude. I watched it for about 2 minutes & travel about 20 miles. Awesome sight! 5 years ago.
