My father was a Korean and Vietnam veteran and retired from the Army. We filed for his benefits, made call after call,, wrote letter after letter, filled out form after form, went to outside services for help. After 2yrs there was still no answer. We gave up when my father finally died. These agencies are a scam and take every opportunity to find ways to delay or deny veterans the benefits they've fought for and earned. Good looking out USA!

I have to deal with the V A all the time ,I started having seizures ,shortly after serving 6 years with the army ,I’ve been told every excuse from no records ,even the excuse that I served during peacetime,and that blocks almost all benefits .
If you don't mind me asking: what was your ENL and RAD dates? Have you done a FOIA with VA to get your entire records? That way you can go through and see all of your medical records and call attention to potential exposure that might be the cause of your seizures

My dad got his dentures from the VA. And, he had the same issue. The dentures were poorly made and caused significant discomfort and bleeding on his gums. He had to get them remolded. The VA should be ashamed of themselves. Veterans deserve better treatment. They served our country.
For the young man that died in jail, If that was one of their relatives or another officer you can be guaranteed he would have been to the hospital within 2 mins. Such BS ...are they trying to keep relations with police bad?! Because they are doing a great job or ruining what little trust ppl still have. Ugh!!!
My blood is boiling right now. This is why people don't feel safe in the hands of law enforcement. This beautiful, vibrant, young man made a small mistake that so many of us have made and because of negligence, ignorance and stupidity, he lost his life, parents lost a son, and he is being mourned by his community and beyond. Ignoring a man while he is pleading and fighting for his life is criminal and vile. WHAT will be done to prevent this from ever happening again and also to make sure that his family is some how paid and acknowledged/sincerely apologized to? A new law must be made in his name.

Jailing someone for smoking weed at some point in the past 30 days is the real problem. Weed is legal in more than 26 states now and more states are moving towards recreational use every year. This is where this young mans trouble really started, with draconian laws and enforcement of BS "laws"

This is common in Georgia I was receiving medical treatment and was transferred to Douglas county jail and was completely ignored and allowed to heal completely wrong and bones never set in proper place 2016

I absolutely hate when prison officials/drones make medical decisions. There's a reason they work in a prison and not a hospital/clinic. THEY'RE NOT medically trained. They should be held accountable for their decisions, like we all are. And we all know if that was you or me, we'd be up on negligent death charges. I went to jail over an unpaid traffic ticket....I seem a mentally handicapped man tied to a pole peeing on Himself and the cops laughing... every single cop. Not just one but all of them. There were guy locked up on criminal charges that had more compassion the the officers. I lost a lot of respect for cops after that.
No amount of training in the world will improve the job performances of people like these. Their staggering inhumanity is indicative of a deep, deep Soul sickness that no pill in existence can treat. These people are truly subhuman. God be with his family. May he rest in peace
"The boy who cried wolf" is a story about someone who repeatedly fabricated a narrative. How many times had you previously arrested him and he tried this ploy, and it turned out to be a fake seizure, for that to have any credibility as a conclusion? Who trains these people to read situations? I would have assumed that would be a huge part of their training? I get that I am sounding naive as it is blatantly obvious they don't receive training and that that does not seem to matter as too many people are not held accountable.
I think he was talking about other inmates crying wolf. I have heard officers say people fake being sick to try and get out of jail. So they never really believe anyone who’s having symptoms.
You gotta start hiring MUCH smarter people. Do these officers of the law know more than medical professionals? Why are they in the workforce? A human who endangers life by ignoring medical advice should be in jail, not in the workforce.(and especially not a police officer)
Regarding the ADA lawsuits: this happened in my town, they targeted small family-owned restaurants all over town. Owners started getting the same types of letters. None remembered any customer complaints, were completely surprised by the letters. All of them had a list of demands representing thousands of dollars and significant disruptions to business. All of it came from one guy in a wheelchair and a law office located an hour away. It’s one thing to file a legit complaint, if an owner has refused to improve access, but this law office had the guy go into dozens and dozens of restaurants, for the purpose of finding any violation possible. Not to request improvements from owner, but to then send out long lists of expensive demands that threatened expensive legal action. They didn’t pick on larger restaurants or chain restaurants, just smaller ones. It was very much a money grab by a legal office who used intimidation and the law to ‘extort’ money from smaller businesses, a couple of whom had spent thousands to comply, but were still pursued to the point of closing their business. I don’t blame the wheelchair guy, bc he deserves access like everyone else. But he was being used by this law firm to go in with a checklist of every tiny thing...even if that detail didn’t restrict access, but was still technically ‘out of code’. And that info was used to harass and intimidate. I’m sure he started out thinking he was doing a good thing, but my opinion is that these lawyers were using him, and mobster tactics for financial gain. The whole situation was bad
I don't think the guy in the wheelchair went to any of these places. These lawyers pay the handicap people a few to file suits based on info they get from paying able bodied people to investigate small business locations. They are trained to look for certain violations
I live in Gwinnett and I’ve seen the county jail. And they treat all inmates badly. Doesn’t matter what your in there for. They treat everyone with the most disrespect. Shut it down and fire these tyrants who run the jail. They are killing inmates.

You never do that to a person that has a seizure cuz when they have a seizure they'll die from it how unrealistic are you he should have been treated immediately and right away not just left unattended it is your responsibility to make sure the safety of these folks get taken care of why did you leave him on a floor knowing he was in a seizure it only takes a split second they die from it because their whole body shuts down what is wrong with you people you're not medically skilled or knowledge about the seizures otherwise this would have never happened
This SAME thing happened to my Dad, who fought in the Vietnam War. It's a shame! Probably did in purpose. The Vet at the end had the MOST wonderful smile! Glad he got help.
Absolutely sickening. I am so sorry this happened. I can not begin to imagine what his family must be going through, having watched their son being in distress, begging for help… and watching him writhing in pain. My God.
These are untrained people that did not recognize what a seizure was they have no knowledge or skills otherwise they would have known that you had to take him in immediately seizures are nothing to mess with if they don't know the sign of seizures then this shows right here they had no skills or knowledge of what a seizure was careless non-acceptable behavior by corrections should have been right there as the doctor should have made sure they took him to where he needed to be instead they walk away to make sure or look the other way as if he didn't have a seizure these are unskilled people the next time this happens they should be penalized for the death penalty not acceptable behavior when they're sitting here acting like they know everything when they don't test them do a test and see if they understand what seizures are then leave a person in a seizure to die on call for how could anyone look the other way and pretend like they didn't know he was in a seizure this really upsets me because I help a gentleman who went into a seizure on a skateboard looking up and went down I called and ambulance immediately and got him the help he needed how does anyone not know when a person's in a seizure and pretends they're lying to him when they're sick family has a right to lawsuit because this was not acceptable behavior by corrections and law enforcement not doing their job they need to be tested to find out if they know anything about seizures and how it should not be left on attended or ignored because this is what I'm seeing they have done to him their son did not deserve what happened here I'm ashamed of the corrections and I am ashamed of our government who does nothing but look the other way and doesn't care about human life because they said once everybody dies all they're doing is collecting off of them greed is more important than human life this is what they're telling us this is why they're letting people die this is what came from our government who betrays the rights of all humans and the rights of Miranda rights of our children I'm very appalled that we have a sick government that thinks only of money not the humans they think they're above the law by letting this happen every time we turn around our children are dying at the hands of our government
You have an open lawsuit because of the violations of your son's medical rights and Miranda rights they should have never left him unintended they should have gotten him into the doctor immediately not wait and leave him like he was supposed to be lying about the medical issues it is the fault of the corrections and the law enforcement not paying attention to his medical issues. Not acceptable behavior and misconduct by corrections they need to be sued for taking the life of your sons leaving him unattended without no medical intention
