I believe Giants once thrived in the world .... it would explain why every culture in history has had legend of oversize men but I believe they no longer remain being pushed to extinction by the industrial movement and global civilization

I have seen some articles about the Smithsonian purchasing large human bones from private parties. I have seen pictures of archaeologists next to large skeletons but I don't know if they are real. Anyone who believes in the Bible knows that there were giants on earth at one time. The fallen angels and the wives of men produced these giants. I feel that many governments hide any physical evidence that supports stories in the bible. Can't have us commoners believing there is something greater than the government. Just my opinion.

Giants are still around, they’re just deep into the earth, at its center. Even in the Middle East, Arabic cultures speak of red hair giants up to 15ft tall. To people in the 18th century, 6'2" was pretty much a giant. I went to a historic fur trading fort, and the building heights were pretty low. They said that the average man back then was 5'5" tall and the average woman perhaps 5'1", and these were the well fed French and English. The native peoples were probably 2-3 inches shorther.

Very well done programme. Looking at old houses, say 17th century or similar here in England, it is very noticable that the doorways are quite a bit lower than they are today - people were somewhat shorter than now, and the houses were 'built to fit'. That being so, people who were above the then average could well be regarded as 'giants' - I've known a couple of men who were 6' 10" tall, and built to match; giants by anybody's standard!

Why is it so hard to believe that there were giants on the planet before us? We still have some giants among us today, look at some of the NBA & NFL player’s who are 6’8” and 300 plus lbs and bigger.

Giant skeletons have been found here redruth, Cornwall, Southwest uk. I can see Carn brea hill out of my bedroom window, there is the Giant's coffin, a Giant's head and hand, the Giant's wheel and the Giant's cradle and genuinely are those things but massive scale and rock. The Carn brea, cornish giants were a childhood story for me growing up, the legends say they preferred to eat children because the meat wasn't to soft or too tough and our blood was sweet. Skeletons have also been found and covered up from the public according to many of us cornish people. There's no way giants are extinct if they exist, they've probably adapted and disappeared or been hidden from us somehow.
I'm shocked a mainstream source would even cover this. But they left out all the reports from around the world loaing bones to the Smithsonian. And why aren't the remains found here available to view anymore, to confirm the height and size?
Are they asserting that that tribe and essentially everyone else except those referred to as "giants" were essentially dwarfs at 4' - 5' tall and this was the standard height of normal people which is why they considered the 6' tall people giants? Am I the only one that is finding this as peculiar and illogical? ·1st- when did humans average standard height jump up 1' ? ·2nd- How much taller/bigger than yourself does someone have to be to consider them a "giant" rather than just a tall person? I tend to listen to what the t.v. personalities say and usually base the reality of it pretty close to the opposite of that.

Viking ship they found up there also. Probably got lost 1000 years ago. When the waters stretched more inland. Stranded vikings in mountains they had no knowledge of local hunting and plants and had to resort to cannibalism of the locals. They got tired of this and went up and killed them
an interesting note not related to this case is the age old question "why did the eskimos not simply go south towards the sun and warmth?" White skin and red hair were from Neanderthals in the last Ice age. There was a pre curser between neanderthal and modern humans before the last Ice age. Being isolated to such harsh conditions it caused them to be cannibalistic and war like. Not to mention that since it was so cold for so long, the vegetation lacked certain vitamins that create melanin and so this lack of vitamin was passed on through generations in their ecosystem, not only in Neanderthal but in other mammals as well, that's why you have Tabby cats with ginger hair, and that's why you find red mammoth hair in permafrost. Modern Tigers are probably a decendant of this trait as well.
