I Tear Down My Antique Beaumont Adams Revolver And Repair It 

Bravo, an absolutely superb breakdown of the famed Beaumont Adams percussion revolver. I can clearly see why some feel that the Adams and Tranter designs are considered to be the overall best-designed percussion revolvers made. It's good to know that the Spanish Basque company of Arvancargas Arsa is producing firing replicas of these fine percussion revolvers.

I think this must be common with old Beamont Adams pistols, mine has the exact same issue. I even think one of the Royal Armouries videos has another with the same issue.

Those Adams revolvers are a bit unusual since they have a separate single action sear. British engineering at it´s best! That´s my graal revolver but they are sooo difficult to find in shooting condition here in Sweden.

That is a nice big cylinder! Wthat caliber is it? How many grains of powder and ball,and conical bullet will the cylinder chambers hold? Can you load Combustible Paper Cartridges into it?

Mine is the same single action doesnt work, the previous owner bobbed the hammer because of it. Its a beaumont adams that looks like the original adams in terms of hammer which is nice

Great video to start educating folks on the revolver. Hopefully, you will decide to take the revolver apart completely to show all of the parts. For instance, seeing the complete cylinder pin removed as well as the cylinder pin set/retaining screw would be interesting to see. Also, hopefully you decide to also remove the thumb safety on the right of the frame; showing its parts and how it works. Showing this level of detail would add a lot to the overall understanding of the revolver.

Oh heck I get it. The really old guns the hammer was called the cock. I’m talkin really old match lock , flint lock,wheel lock etc.
